The Cold Is Official
Official belief has coincided with my prior belief that this sore throat was well on its way to declining. However, it is now official, with my nose starting to feel the mucus building up, I am sick. The coughs are more frequent, my nose is starting to block and the dread of working tomorrow is facing my strife. There is no way I will decide to take a day off for Monday unless this cold gets worse overnight.
How ironic though that I keep commenting on how I am so formidable against disease and here I am, with a common cold and sore throat. Right now I’m going to head upstairs and get myself another sip of tea. You can be sure that after thirty plus pages of chronology tonight I am well deserved of one.
Xavier Phones Again
Starting now with my adventures on Wednesday and feeling these will be the last full words for a day before I have to sleep, I must attend my bed at midnight and so will. The day as to travel on Wednesday is unknown apart from my grievous trip home but what I do remember is that Najla aggravated me at work like already noted. In addition to what is already noted and what remains to be heard, Xavier called me again on Wednesday.
This happened while I was photocopying and I didn’t want to answer the phone but Najla egged me on. Reluctantly I picked up the phone and was pleased at his oddity to explain that he wouldn’t be catching the train for the day, as if we had preplanned to meet for Wednesday. This guy was strange as he waits a couple of days just to tell me that, doesn’t he get the picture.
Stress And Zenia’s Freckles
Early in the morning when I was heading to work I actually met up with Zenia at the set of lights. This came after I handed in my reprints to the photo lab in the morning as they didn’t do a good job on them the day before. Not too sure if Zenia and I had a conversation, I think I was too shy to approach her but I did get that chance on Friday morning, if memory serves me well.
The morning was built with stress for the first real time in my job as I sifted through David’s filing unable to find any of the A, B or C files. What made matters worse is that Najla was still holding off on filing, knowing well enough that she had an obligation to get down David’s filing as well as Joselyn’s. Later in the day Thalia handed me a file telling me that one of the claims people needed it back within our floor.
Therefore, I made my venture down the corridor, looking at the numbers on the sides of each work-station. The work-station number I was looking for was section 214 and luckily it seemed to be near where Zenia was sitting. This gave me a great chance to have a chat with her as I interrupted her speaking to some Asian lady who was having trouble with the computer. With a smile on her face as if she knew I was bothering her just so we could get accustomed to her, I adored her sense of freckles upon her face and the funny distinguished voice she had.
From there I was pointed to the other side of the building in which I past Jonas who waved to me. Later in the day I also got to answer Kelsey’s phone in which Zenia was on the other line. Showing some recognition, I asked “This is Zenia from just outside legal isn’t it” and as she replied obligingly we had a little laugh on the phone and then I wrote down what message I had to pass on.
A Swallowed Bankcard
In regards to people I talked with, Linh chatted to me early in the morning about how his bankcard got stuck in the ATM Machine while he was trying to withdraw $20. For some reason he never got to see his card or his money as the transaction took too long and his card was swallowed. Therefore, Jonas had no money for lunch or for the rest of the day and even as I told him I would shout him for lunch he thanked me but decided to find other means to his problems.
Esme Talks About Ignatius
Speaking to Jonas also at the photocopiers he seemed to be alright from Tuesday’s bout of depression in which a long sleep was what he needed. Heading back to my desk I helped out Esme with a file she had to get back from Brambles Storage and whilst we sat together she talked about Ignatius and how he was going at the new legal form for which he works.
She noted how he had to spend two hours on putting a big file together and when a worker came up to him and told him he done it all wrong he slammed the file together and yelled out “For fuck’s sake”. The big bosses ushered Ignatius over with his finger, told him to take a smoke break, calm down and threw him a stress ball. For the rest of the day, Ignatius was throwing the stress ball against the wall continuously, showing callousness to the abhorrent situation.
Gunmetal Grey Or Nothing
Wednesday was also a quiet day as many people were away from work. For instance, Jana, David, Edith and Shayma were away and people like Margot, Delphi, Joselyn, Tallulah and Kelsey were away for most of the days on work obligations. For lunch time I made my way to Gas Station after getting something to eat at a sushi store. In that time I had to spare I tried on one of the puff jacket vests, finding a small way too tight on my body.
Having a bit of time to try on the medium size I really dug the threads and the cheaper price due to the sales but not the fact that they ran out of black and only had gun metal gray. Nevertheless, as I also called Gas Station today to see if they could track one down for me they couldn’t find a medium in black anywhere so I guess it’s up to me to buy the gunmetal gray or nothing.
Evening Calls
Upon heading home on the train I got caught in that predicament and just made it to my bus which eventually took me home. At home I calmed myself down in front of the computer screen as Jett also gave me a call for the night, making plans for himself to come over on Saturday to play the Playstation. Lyssa also thought to call me on Wednesday where we only talked for fifteen minutes and on a limited range of subjects.
We talked of the new Greek trainee at work, how I was irritated with Najla at work, the chance that we might be getting a new person for administration, my train fine and the weather. Lyssa also thought to show her ostentatious self as she told me of how she now has an email address. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out there was some secret incentive behind he wanting to get an email address and soon enough, I learn that she sent the Canadian guy some email.
Wondering About Lyssa’s Email
This causes me to ask how far did Lyssa go with this guy when they were getting onto each other that night, being with each other until 6:00 a.m. Did Lyssa do something as drastic as allowing him to probe her body with his hands or was he rather a gentleman, only using his lips and keeping his hands to himself. From how Lyssa kept talking about how great he was I have just reason to believe that he could have done something to her which made her so eager to write email to him.
I wondered that if Lyssa ever got a chance to meet this guy in the future, how far will she go and will she think of having sex with him straight out. Please excuse all these brash thoughts without philosophical backbone or excuses as I am rather hurried to explain chronology minus the overwhelming philosophical adage. Another thought that was on my mind is, will he ever ask her for nude photos over the internet. Whatever the question, I know that Lyssa would always say no because she’s be too worried about her pictures being revealed to everyone on the internet.
Shawn also gave me a call for Wednesday night asking if he could borrow my concession card but after explaining he couldn’t buy a concession train ticket with it, he was soon inconvenienced. We talked of the weekend and as I began on my diary, that was the all of my Wednesday. Now with only Thursday and Friday to conclude, I shall disappear now as the time is 12:05 a.m.
