A Dream Of Two Girls

Tuesday morning began for me with a vague memory of a dream when my alarm bell suddenly rang. Through the night I woke up around 4:00 a.m. thinking to myself that I had a great sleep and still, with two hours to go. Anyway, from what I do remember of my dream, it involved an envious Lyssa and an superficial ignorance in Jewell. The dream began with my walking into my bedroom and there, to my surprise, Lyssa and Jewell were standing in anticipation of my arrival.

Lyssa had more of an aggravated look on her face, as if she wanted to prove a point and there was Jewell, being lowly and unassuming. From what I recall, Lyssa was doing something with all the letters I had ever received or sent and seeing one of the letters were still unopened, she thought to invite Jewell over for the big opening formality. Jewell looked as if she was confusedly just sitting on the fence and I could see that Lyssa was only bringing the three of us together out of spite.

As I handed the decorated letter to Jewell I looked upon her differently as I am accustomed to believing of her nature. Acting the same as she normally would, Jewell seemed callow in her innocence but it was a strange bout of unusual reticence that made me favor Lyssa. For some reason, Lyssa’s maturity seemed to win over my mind and favor and I know in reality I would think to chose otherwise but my dream was trying to tell me something.

Maybe the reason why Jewell was so humbled before Lyssa is because I was harboring my fears inside Jewell. The fact that I can’t speak to Lyssa about situations as what we had just undertaken, I was malleable to stretch my will across to Lyssa rather than Jewell despite my confusion as to why that was. I figure that because I would feel so uneasy in this situation, making Lyssa feel happy in order to keep the situation under control, I harbored all my anxiety within Jewell so that nothing wrong would happen and therefore, this would explain the peculiar humbleness from Jewell.

A Face Like Jewell’s

Tuesday morning was a great starting day for me before work. I got everything done from typing thoughts in my diary to eating a meat pie, listening to some tunes, having a shower, a shave and then putting on my suit and shoes. The actual trip to work wasn’t memorable but what I do remember about Tuesday at work is how I saw a girl whom rang a bell in my mind.

Having seen her on Monday when I was jumping off the train at Campbelltown, I figured her to have a resemblance in personality and looks to Jewell. Seeing her walk past our office area at work, I was stunned that she came from Campbelltown and worked in the same company as me. What’s more having not seen her before I gathered she was new but she didn’t dress new or look reticent at work duties.

Morning Mail With Najla

From what my notes recall, in the morning Aleka was being cheeky to me, noting that Najla had already come down to get the mail. Heading upstairs I greeted Najla and then I began with her on the morning mail which didn’t take us very long at all. There was no wrong mail in our bag and we finished the mail in a record time of 9:15 a.m.

This meant that we had the rest of the day to catch up on briefs or filing and I took this advantageous time to complete two brief updates and one brief before lunchtime arrived. The brief that Joselyn gave to me the day before also came back from Discovery in which it was the brief completed to Joselyn’s rapturous gratitude. In the morning hours, Najla also had me ring a barrister for her as like myself, wasn’t too confident with the phone. Nevertheless, this request gave me a chance to shine as I would usually be anxious but because it wasn’t for me, I was more relaxed on the phone.

Staff Meeting With David

When 11:15 a.m. arrived we were called over by David in which the whole legal staff had a meeting. Najla and I sat ourselves in the hallway portion as David sat on Jana’s desk and briefed everyone with his short hand notes. Feeling like part of a team, David used big words in his speech which did impress me to the extent and control of the English Language he portrays.

The first topic was our need to update the computers and how needed something as costly as that would be. In addition, we talked of Esme’s position being filled and how they will be hiring a legal floater in the next month or two to take over her position. The chairs we sat on also deserved a mention as Livia was having back problems and from what I gather, she was trying to receive workers compensation.

David made a joke about how he loved receiving new claims and if any of us ever started to get hurt, to tell someone straight away. The important part of the talks involving Najla and I stemmed around our getting someone new for administration. David looked back at the both of us as he was talking, speaking in retrospect and not making it seem like we were asking for one ourselves.

Rather, he just passively noted that with Tatiana’s work we could use some assistance and tomorrow is the day that David actually sits down and has a big old chat with Najla and I about it. In addition, David talked of the incentive plan used by everyone else in the office and how he wanted our section to get into it. The talks lasted for more than half an hour and when discussion had concluded, it was time for me to head for lunch.

Rainy Lunch With Thalia

Lagging behind for a little while before heading out, I planned to meet up with Thalia in the hallway and rightly so, when she walked out we chatted about what the both of us were doing. As it was raining I had no definite plans and as she had nothing to do we both agreed to do nothing together. Casually we brought together our plans and as we walked down to the food court right next to our building I bought some Chinese food as Thalia bought herself a sandwich.

As all women these days, Thalia admitted she was on a diet but her reason was because she ate too much chocolate days before. Whilst eating our food, Thalia told me about how she constantly swaps clothes with her friends in which she made a note about a boob tube she wears. She commented on her trip to Adelaide and her visiting two major clubs up there and about her boyfriend who she says can’t dance if his life depended on it.

The rain was belting down for the whole day and as I finished half of my food upon her having the last bite of her sandwich I closed the lid and decided to head back to our office with Thalia. As she had a smoke just out the front of the building she talked more about her bouts at nightclubs and then buying myself a drink, we headed back to work together.

With twenty minutes to spare, I ate the rest of my lunch without a care of Najla being there. Feeling no intimidation or embarrassment eating in front of Najla, I even made it an objective to chat with her for a little while as I ate. With the conclusion of my lunch which began at 12:00 p.m. I traveled over to the photocopier in which I noticed Calla sitting down upon a desk sorting out correspondence. “You don’t have a staple remover”

I asked figuring this would be a good way to chat with her and as she said “Sorry I don’t have one” I ended up burrowing behind the fax machine for a bright yellow one. With Najla now at lunch I completed another brief and waiting for Najla to come back from lunch, I was sent to the compensation court to do some filing.

Courts And An Optometrist

In my bid to get some taxi charge slips Jana also gave me a folder of filing to accomplish in another building so she gave me three slips and sent me on my way. Jana slapped some importance on some of her documents, hoping that I would be able to find out the hearing date for one of them. Nevertheless, Kelsey came to the rescue of my confidence as she noted how she gave me a very hard task to accomplish for my first time in which I had no trouble.

Heading down to the compensation court first I waited in line for a few seconds and then surprisingly, my number was called. Peeling off the stickers as quick as the girl printed them out, I chatted to her about how quiet it was for once. From there I headed downstairs and caught another taxi to the Supreme Court and heading up to level five I was again quickly fed through the line and shown more haste with the files.

Stamp, stamp, stamp, they were complete. Deciding that it was more efficient to walk back to work rather than catch a taxi with the last cab charge I began my trek back to work, hoping my cost-effectiveness won’t go unchecked when I handed back one cab charge to Jana. However, in my trip back to work I walked into an optometrist shop I have always favored to look suave.

Seeing a pair of glasses on a billboard within the shop I asked if I could try on a pair just like it and ended up trying three or four different styles. I’m sure I’ve shed this story before so to make it quick, I liked two styles of glasses, both costing around $300 after a discount. On the way out after ten minutes I also sought to take some information about contact lenses and then made my way back to work in rain which had just started.

The time was 3:30 p.m. when I walked back into the office and as I handed one cab charge to Jana as well as her filing and Thalia’s, I headed back to my administration desk. Najla asked me why I took so long and the reality of the situation was that I decided to walk back to work, unnoticeably taking an hour and a half to do such an errand. Najla looked like she was struggling with the outgoing mail so I helped as best I could as we got it out just after 4:00 p.m.

End Of Day Chat With Delphi

When I asked Najla to give some filing a go my temper started to fray but I kept it hidden inside. Amazingly, it took Najla what seemed to be half an hour just to type up a cover letter for a brief and all she has to do is fill in the blank spaces. Najla continued with her procrastination throughout the remainder of the day and finally, twenty minutes before it was time to head home Najla finally began on some filing.

In the dying minutes of the day as Najla was looking for files in Joselyn’s room Delphi came over to my desk asking if I had seen a file and then plunked herself down in a seat next to me. “I don’t want to get back up” she noted as I thought she wanted to have a conversation and therefore, we started one. For the next ten minutes until it was time to head home we started a conversation which mainly revolved around confectionery.

We digressed from cinnamon chewing gum to lollies and how she used to eat gob-stoppers and those lemon flavored things when she was younger. Having a great chat for the end of our day, I felt that I was more open with everyone at work and went home happier for my achievements. At the end of the day Jana came over to join in on our conversation and in that time Delphi asked me what that little contraption was which I called my bike watch.

“What, do you use it to time how long you take to complete a brief” she joked as we all had a little laugh. Sharing my story about the bike clock and how I went through immeasurable odds to get my bike, even Esme joined in to listen to my telling conversation. I explained loosely how my bike was stolen and how I headed to their house to get it back only to have a bat shown to my face but never swung.

Jana also thought to advise me on the sage of my group certificate and how she was chasing it down for me but it hadn’t been received by our company yet.

Jonas Gets Blamed

With the day over I headed to the station with Najla as normal and at the set of lights we caught up with Jonas who looked rather depressed. Asking him what was wrong as we headed the rest of the day to the station he informed us that some person blew him up on the phone for Tuesday because they though he was the culprit who messed up big time on one of their files.

However, Jonas had no part to play but the be the scapegoat and he didn’t feel too obliged by it. Seemingly Jonas was down on his luck so I thought introducing him to Najla would help a touch. I’ve noticed recently from myself that I tend to introduce people to each other more often. I don’t know where this has sprouted from but I wish people would do it for me more often.

Anyway, on the way home I slept on the express train to Campbelltown in which I was warned by the loudspeaker that there would be people at Campbelltown Station to give infringement notices to people who alight from the train. Sounding like utter crap, I jumped off like many other people and didn’t get caught or stopped. Heading home at 7:00 p.m. I began typing on my computer and that pretty much was the end of Tuesday’s chronology without the expense of description.
