A Killer Outfit

Beginning now with the chronology of my Friday morning, let me rid the burden of having a long list of chronology to complete. Within twenty minutes I’ll be heading over to Keith’s house so we can watch the game of the Bulldogs and someone else on pay television and then we’re headed to see ‘Austin Powers’. Be that as it may, my day on Friday began at 5:50 a.m. and I felt a little tired but I didn’t hesitate to make my way to the shower.

Somehow the morning didn’t feel as cold as every other winter day, it felt just under comfortable. Through the day my perception was right, it was rather a lovely day to be out. The morning wasn’t that cold as I made my way to the bus and the seats on the train weren’t freezing when I sat myself down. Chucking on my new tie, electric blue shirt and pinstripe pants I headed to work in what I think is my killer outfit.

There were no hassles with the train and no people on the train in which to talk to, just smooth sailing all the way. Arriving in Wynyard at 8:30 a.m. I headed to work a couple of minutes early, collected the mail from downstairs and took it upstairs to our lone administration section. Najla hadn’t come in yet as I found a note with a brief attached to it. It was the brief that Shayma wanted me to get photocopied for the day and she wrote a little note with smiley faces on it.

Shayma’s Smiley Faces

I’m sure that I’ve mentioned the story about the smiley faces so there is no need to comment about it again. Getting some assistance from Thalia regarding my little note we checked the computer to find that the brief had been sent to brambles so that meant I had to photocopy the whole brief again. Making my way over to Shayma who was all spirited and talkative I told her the story and was then on my way to photocopy the whole file.

Half of my Friday was again spent at the photocopier in the kitchen. Whilst there I talked to two people in main, the Asian guy from Liverpool in which I still haven’t asked his name and Jonas, the tall guy that I saw at Chevy’s. when I bumped into the Asian guy we just got to talking about the cricket game and then he switched to how much he was getting paid, around $20,000.

Stating that he worked as administration in the workers compensation and my job in the company he asked me how long I had been working for now. The Asian guy had only been working for four weeks and as I uttered “Yeah, I’ve been here for three weeks” he took a step back in surprise. “You’ve really settled into your job then haven’t” he remarked as I thought to be submissive.

I knew that because of my confidence when we first met at the photocopier (When his paper jammed and I helped out) he thought I had really come a long way in a couple of weeks. I made trips to the copier a couple of times in the day and there were a heap of different people I noticed but two pop into mind right now.

Two Faces In The Kitchen

Just after having my lunch I stepped into the kitchen with my ID Card handy and walking past the tables on the door’s wall I noticed the Scottish or English girl that I think is very agreeable to my taste. She has brown hair with a hint of red and it comes to just above her chin. What really amazes me is how defined her body is, a perfect little body that I adore to watch.

I noticed her reading a book as I walked in the door but cared not to agree myself into conversation. When heading home I also noticed her at the train station in which I jumped on her train. While she sat down near the entry doors I had myself stand and glance over at her from time to time. It would have been great if I could have chatted to her but I don’t have that confidence yet, I have to change my whole perception of people.

The other person I noted was Jonas, the guy that I saw at Chevy’s. We had a little bit of a discussion, it wasn’t much. My attitude towards holding conversation probably seems irrefutable as I tend to box up. When people have conversations with me and don’t really know me I tend to hold back the real me and because of it my conversation seems somewhat weird.

I guess that’s why people tend to walk away instead of chat with me when we reunite faces and I guess my appearing attitude is why girls jump off the dancefloor whenever I show vague interest their way. I just don’t have what it takes to win the hearts of anyone these days, I need that edge of confidence back in these veins, so I do so.

A Brief Going Nowhere

I was supposed to depict my Friday at work with detail of the characters so that it wouldn’t be just something else to write. However, as I am stuck on time I must digress and speed up my pantomime. For lunch I headed to Hyde Park and buying two rolls of sushi I had them to eat and with time to spare I walked back to work. On the way I strolled through Centrepoint tower shopping center and walking into a work clothing shop I browsed through their many good looking items.

Taking their card from them I vowed to head back on Saturday but obviously you can see that I didn’t head to the City on Saturday, if I did note it. Upon coming back to work I delivered that important brief to the barrister after it had been checked by Livia a couple of times. Heading back to work I got all flushed in the face when Shayma had the barrister on the phone who noted he didn’t get the file.

Describing the guy that I had given the package to we finally realized that I had to send the brief and the file and when it was all clear I knew that the file wasn’t sent, it was still in the filing. However, that was a good thing as the case was being sustained for a couple of weeks and basically, all my hurried work was for nothing. Speaking of filing, my hands continually get cut up at work because of the clips and holders. They never tend to heal and now that I’m heading to the Gym it’s no better.

Meeting Tatiana

Earlier in the day I received a phone call that was for Tatiana, another Solicitor for FAI. To me she was good looking and I glance at her from my table when she heads out to speak with Kelsey, her law Clerk. Kelsey and Edith also gave me a heap of photocopying to do for the day out of their files and as I was content to do their dirty work I only had time to do one or two files out of two dozen.

Kelsey also used my computer again as we had a little bit of a chat and now we are that bit more on talking terms. Anyway, back to Tatiana, I received a call for her through my telephone line. Being very confident on the phone now I asked Edith what her extension was and then transferring to her phone I found it to be busy. Therefore, I told the caller that I would take a message and as I jotted down the information I made my way to Tatiana’s office.

Tapping on the door slightly she signaled me to come in as she was still on the phone. Holding up her telephone conversation as I told her who had just called and recalled some notes I had written down she thanked me for my time and I headed out the happier man. It was great to finally talk to Tatiana who will eventually be one of our working Solicitors which means more work for us.

Nevertheless, I had a great time chatting with her as she came over to my desk looking through the files I had to get photocopied. I started the ball rolling by asking her if she watched ‘Just Shoot Me’ the night before. From there she picked up the pace as she told me what she did watch and then talked her way candidly through a scene that made her crack up.

I sat there with a grin on my face eagerly listening and then as she was done I advised her that I thought she looked like the bosses wife from ‘Just Shoot Me’, the good looking one. She just laughed it off but I know she was flattered. Our conversation lasted for a little while longer and then as she had to head off she said “Goodbye, it was nice talking to you” and was on her way. Because I’m now being myself and more open at work I’m speaking to more people, new acquaintances. However, the day that I have lunch with one of them is the day when I have succeeded…

David Mentions My Diary

Near the end of the day when it was almost time to head home David walked over to Kelsey and started having a little chat with her. As Najla and I were doing filing and just tidying up I heard him add my diary into conversation as he uttered “Tony writes about us when he gets home, he has a diary on the computer that he writes in every night”. For the first time since I had begun work this is the first time that David has been candid and witty with me, not directly but taking the effort to include me in conversation.

As Kelsey looked over at me with a dubious smile David added “I wonder what bad things he says about us” in jest. It was a good feeling how David included me into the conversation and I didn’t sit there like a mute, I gave my part to the conversation as well. Publicity is the key to interest and as more people learn of my reality, it will become a reality.

Heading Home Again

Heading home a couple of minutes before our time was due Najla and I headed out together as usual. Chatting on the way to the station Najla commented on how her cousin will be coming down to visit them for the weekend from America. Najla wants to take her parents out this weekend to dinner as well as go shopping to celebrate her new job but she has to wait until she gets paid first. She’s going through the same blues that I’m facing but I noted that the first payment will make her feel the best.

Jumping on my train to Central I caught the express train to Campbelltown and luckily just woke up before the train stopped. The good looking girl as noted before was sitting two seats behind me so I decided to walk past her before getting to sleep. From there I headed home and the rest has been noted for my Friday night in great credible detail. I must go now as the nature of my night bids me leave these pages and prepare for what might be a great night or a disaster, probably the latter…
