Foundation and Televisions
Buying what she needed from the shop Lyssa told me that this foundation was supposedly off the market now and it wasn’t in the City anymore but this was the only shop that had it. From here we made our way to a white goods retail shop and taking a look at all the televisions I showed Lyssa that she needed one with audio and video cables at the front if she wanted to play her Nintendo on it.
Lyssa told me how she was going to put $200 deposit on a television in two weeks time and then she will buy it with her next pay as she was looking for a television under $400. From that shop we headed to the food court where Lyssa bought herself a small Pizza and some wedge chips and giving me some money I bought myself a big Mac and some drink.
Spotting Friends at the Food Court
Seating ourselves in the food court Lyssa showed me that Kofi was walking around with a friend and seeing that he was a fair bit away I thought not to go up and bother him. While eating I also noticed one or two people that I knew walk past and one of them was Keith.
Now I’ve already noted about this event but as he was walking past and me being near the Macdonald’s end but in the middle of the food court and on the inner side of the bowling alley steps I hoped he wouldn’t notice me. Those fears came to a realization as he kept bobbing his head up and down, side to side without noticing anyone and then bang, he noticed me, smiled and kept walking. At no time did I feel intimidated, anxious or threatened. Waving to him as per usual he kept moseying along and I kept with what I was doing, eating.
Punches on the Platform
Making our way out of Macarthur Square after realizing there was only one place with televisions for sale we made our way back to Campbelltown as I knew there were at least three places there. Waiting at the train station Lyssa and I were just mucking around with each other as she would punch me in the shoulder and I would do the same.
My punches were only as hard as her soft punches but yet, she seemed to think they had some animosity within them. Once back in Campbelltown we headed down Queen Street where the first place we visited was the seconds store in the middle. There was nothing of real interest there as we looked around so we made our way further down the street. Stopping at Retravision we found one or two liked televisions but we kept on our way to the mall. Once in there we headed downstairs and into K-Mart where Lyssa searched for more makeup.
Half an Hour Over Eyeliner
This pissed me off all the more even though we were alone but because my feet were tired and Lyssa took half an hour choosing an eyeliner I started getting irritated. Finally Lyssa just got shitty with my persistency and with her upset face stormed to the empty counter. Looking around no one really took notice of Lyssa as no one was around and that was a good thing because I didn’t want to be seen as the big mean bastard because of the face Lyssa was pulling. Rather than calling me impatient for waiting half an hour to chose an eyeliner I would more likely be calling Lyssa a time waster.
Nintendo Prices Blow Our Minds
Checking out some televisions in there Lyssa showed me one that she liked and while we were there we also checked out some Nintendo games. Madden 99 was $100 and so was Zelda and some other prize games which blew our minds. Showing me a steering wheel and pedal controller for the Nintendo Lyssa advised me with a big grin that she wanted one of these and was going to buy one.
Seeing no real use for the steering wheel apart from car games and seeing it as awkward I thought it to be a bad investment but hey, different people, different likes. From there we headed to Franklins where Lyssa bought herself some cheap camera film for Saturday night for Marley’s birthday.
Seemingly I have gotten it wrong about that party and the count of males that will be there. Altogether there is supposed to be eleven people, eight females and three males. The last place we searched for a television was Cash Converters but instead of finding television I noticed some good amplifiers and Lyssa noticed a video or two that she liked. While in Cash Converters Lyssa also noticed her steering wheel for the Nintendo for almost half price and it was still in it’s box looking brand new.
Wonderland Daydreams
With our shopping all done and the time nearing 4:30 p.m. we headed out from Cash Converters and sat outside near the bottom level carp park so Lyssa could have herself a smoke. It was while here that Lyssa and I started talking about Australia’s Wonderland and how it would be a good idea for the both of us to head out there next weekend.
That idea sounded great until I realized it would cost around $60 each for the day and on top of that, I have to pay off my phone bill or at least start saving before I am off government pay. For that reason I will probably have to call off this Wonderland trip and above that I should call it off because I’m beginning to spend more time with Lyssa in general.
Every time Lyssa tells me that she misses me and she can’t wait to see me sends me deeper into this ditch and in the darkness will be the likes of obligation and a mutual relationship. Changing the subject Lyssa asked “Do you ever think about the old times with Ali and miss them”. There has been one or two times that I have thought about the old days and I do there is some sympathetic content for that era but that’s usually followed with a loathing beyond explanation.
Ali Comes Up Again
Answering Lyssa as my hate permitted she told me that she would lock the both of us in a room one day so that we would have to sort things out. My answer to that was that I would bash the shit out of him where she uttered the amusing “That’s good then, once you’ve beaten him up you can make up and be friends again”. Nope, there will never come a day in these years that follow that I will become united with Ali once again, it just won’t happen.
Heading back through the Mall and walking out the front entrance I noticed a hot blonde girl and what surprised me is that not only my eyes were following her as we passed but Lyssa’s eyes were too. This girl was still at school with the yellow checked skirt on. Her tan was immaculate but she didn’t look like a surfie, just a girl who enjoyed the beach or had that tan naturally given to her at birth.
The Girl in the Yellow Skirt
Etiquette was within her build as she also had some tone and with blonde hair, green eyes that were masqueraded by her fair but tanned skin, she was a wonder to my eyes. Lyssa adored her more than me paying her compliments and gathering she was an early 17 years old, she had the skinny body, the beautiful face and the gorgeous measurements to please me and anyone else. She didn’t have a model’s face (Although Lyssa thought she did) or a model’s height but in my mind she was a model’s beauty.
