Catching Up On The Diary

Another day to lap in luxury, my first long weekend of working and my first taste of relaxing another day before heading to work. I’m lucky in a way that I received this extra day for scriptural purposes otherwise it would have hampered my chances of chopping down chronology. However, now that the big Friday is over, I can venture forth to write of these last three nights in belief that tonight’s effort will catch me up to date.

Right now I’m listening to my new TLC Album that I bought when visiting Liverpool with Ralf, something you probably haven’t heard of yet, and already we breeze halfway into this month, fourteen days into winter and one week away from a day that will not be remembered but shunned by both parties. It will be interesting to see what happens on the 21st of this month but I really believe that Lyssa won’t bother calling, as I won’t.

If I didn’t know any better it would strike me silly to think she wasn’t already going out with Ralf, and heavy into a couple of months if right, which causes me no undue stress because I am obliged to rid that wretched foul of a beast. Besides, that is one week from now and we aren’t there yet so let’s not get ahead of ourselves, so to chronology…

Saturday Plans Fall Apart

Saturday morning began for me at around 10:30 a.m., which to me is a late start these days. Having myself something to eat I began writing of the day’s events in my diary hopeful to get through one night without trouble but I was soon robbed of that when my adamant writing was paused to ring both Keith and Ralf. The reason for this was because I wanted to head out for my Saturday, either to buy clothes, head to the City or get my haircut in Campbelltown.

There were plans beforehand for me to head to the City or Miranda with Tyler but ringing him the night before or that same day proved to be a different story. Therefore, I was either to head off for the City after finishing in my diary or to stick around Campbelltown to buy what was needed. Keith and Ralf weren’t home and from what I heard, they were both together selling Ralf’s old car at the wreckers but whilst still writing in my diary around 1:00 p.m., and when it seemed the day was drawing to a close, Ralf and Keith drove over.

Peeping out the front to see Ralf’s new green Calais I closed up my diary and greeted them at the door, where Keith was already eager to get to Binh’s shop so he can collect on a $20 bet that Canterbury Bulldogs would beat Parramatta Eels. Asking if I wanted to come along I stated my errands for the day which were fine with Ralf and with that we jumped in the car and were off.

Binh’s Shop And Macarthur Square

The first place we headed was to see Binh as Keith walked into the back and demanded his $20 from the bet. Both me and Ralf stood out the front for a little while catching breeze and talking to one of the girls who went to ‘QSB’ with us, the Asian girl.

I went off searching for AAA rechargeable batteries for my infra-red headphones, which for two long years have sat collecting dust, and then walked into the back of Binh’s shop in the middle of talks for our Saturday night, but we hardly drew to any conclusions. Our Saturday night was unknown and no one was stepping up to make a good follow-through suggestion. Eventually, Ralf decided that it was time to head for Macarthur Square so saying our cheerios, that’s what we done.

Parking his car on the top level, we made our way into the Square, realizing there was a fashion catwalk parade happening when leaning over the balcony. Keith noted that there was a big fashion parade happening for the day and it had someone famous but he just couldn’t put his finger on who it would be. As we argued about how it would attract or detract business to Macarthur Square, we headed off bored in search of something to do.

Men’s Wallets In A Handbag Shop

I’m not sure why Ralf was up at Macarthur Square but I’m pretty sure it was to check out a music store because he ended up being in there for a while. Nevertheless, as we walked past a woman’s handbag store and my noticing the label ‘Cab 55,’ I knew I had to walk in despite the possible ridicule by Keith or Ralf.

As the three of us did walk in, I got a bit of flack from Keith who uttered, “What are you doing, this is all women’s handbags,” but far from his over-handed comments, I kept composed and walked into the classy shop acting demure. I made myself look as if I was in that shop for a reason and when I asked the lady worker “Have you any men’s wallets in the ‘Cab 55’ range,” my ends were met.

Showing me to a minute section in the whole shop selling men’s wallets, you could sense Keith’s cynical thoughts closing up as he and Ralf grew interested in the leather wallets on display. There were only three or four wallets there for us and I liked one of them but would have preferred a wallet with a see-through portion for my license. I had the woman ring another shop in which she asked if they had men’s wallets in the ‘Cab 55’ label.

She wrote down the two different brand numbers and as she handed me the list, I was tempted to buy the wallet in her store in hopes of finding a better one in her Liverpool store to exchange. However, I am lucky now that I didn’t because the wallets were non refundable and I found a better one in Grace Bros., a ‘Jag’ wallet worth $60.

In the whole time that I was chatting to the lady about wallets sounding in the know, Ralf was busy looking at CDs in the music store. When Ralf came back into the shop to find us still perusing, he uttered, “You must take a long time shopping because I take forever looking at CDs and to find you still here looking at wallets means you really must want a wallet.” Keith also made a comment about my desires to buy a wallet and to be truthful, I didn’t have a desire to buy a wallet before seeing the handbag shop but ended up getting interested.

Leaving Before The Catwalk

Asking Ralf if he would like to drive to Liverpool so I could check out the other wallet, he remarked, “As long as you finish here it’s alright with me,” and with thanking the lady for her assistance, we made our way out and to other endeavors. Anticipating the models stepping out onto the catwalk on our way out, we stopped there to have a look, me drifting over towards Tandy for my last stop of two batteries.

However, Ralf was being his usual misconceived self as he wanted to leave minutes before the catwalk began simply because he thought we were fart-assing around. “If you want to get to Liverpool let’s go” he uttered and not arguing with that, we headed to the car and made our departure.

Ralf’s Scenic Route

Dropping Keith off at home we began our dual journey but as usual, it was adjoined with his scenic route endeavors; like we headed to his house first so he could get his hat and when he jumped back in the car he informed me that we had to travel to Campbelltown to buy his dad some beer. Therefore, with an hour and a half of time to spare before the shops closed, and supposedly in a hurry because we were fart-assing around, we headed for Campbelltown’s bottle shop, bought some spirits for Ralf’s dad, headed back to his house, done all that and then finally headed out.

Keith’s excuse of heading home was that he had to start work in a couple of hours but because Ralf was helping me out, I had to put up with his mind-boggling stupor for the rest of our trip. On the way to Liverpool Ralf couldn’t help but mentioning every minute what his new car could do, all the cool features and whatever else. Asking Ralf if there was a cruise control, he showed me by taking his feet off the pedals, and you could tell by the grin on his face that he was proud of his new car.

However, having Ralf show me how good his car handled was far better than listening to him babble on about who was a dickhead or any other little mind numbing conversations that seem pointless. Nevertheless, Ralf did tell me that he had seen both Penelope and Lyssa in a brown Corolla not too long ago. He waved at them where only Lyssa had the sense to wave back. Damn bitches snobbed him off…

Hunting For A Cab 55 Wallet

Finding parking again on the top level of Liverpool’s shopping center, we ate a croissant each and then made our way inside taking the shortcut through Grace Bros. right into the main portion of the center, but even with a business card, we were having a bit of trouble finding the place. Ralf clued out on the information map while I looked around at all the beautiful girls showing off. When I think about it now, with so many beautiful and gorgeous looking women in every place I see, I feel that there is a big chance of selection out there for men.

It seems that there are five to ten beautiful women to every good looking man and to break it down more, five of them are single. To break it down some more, three of them will be subject to flattery and bids to win their heart and only one of them will chose to have their hearts won to every ten men that try. It’s a vicious and trying state to win a woman’s heart and despite there being so many to choose from out there, I’m getting older, it’s getting harder and so many women are either married, engaged or going out with a guy.

Having an hour to do our shopping we walked into a clothing store to try out some pants they had, and as we asked the woman for directions to the bag store, she pointed us in the right direction. When finally finding our way and entering, we warmed with the girl behind the counter as she showed me the ‘Cab 55’ wallet in question.

From the front it looked smart but once I turned it around I could instantly see that it wasn’t for me, it was for a woman. That was the closest they could find to a man’s wallet from the ‘Cab 55’ selection so I just looked through the available men’s wallets in their little section and when all hope was lost, asked where I could find a ‘Jag’ wallet. “Grace Bros. dear,” she replied and with that, it was off again for Ralf and I.

A Jag Wallet At Grace Bros

Following me around for my quest, Ralf wanted to check out a shop or two for his own pleasures but when mentioning that we should split up and meet in the car in half an hour, he decided it would be best to follow me around. My bid led me to Grace Bros. where we quickly found the wallet section.

There was a radiant looking girl behind the counter which to many men would have been absolutely stunning with her frizzy hairdo, unblemished and perfect face, contact lenses and a chaste look about her. However, I didn’t like the fact that her makeup made her look more plastic than real but I was amazed by her beauty, if not even my type.

Having her take out different ‘Jag’ wallets for me, I was keeping quiet about my choice, opting to just sift through to see what to buy. The prices were a bit too high for my liking but considering the wallets were made out of leather and they had a great design I couldn’t turn my back to them or to the ravishing girl behind the counter. Therefore, I decided to buy a ‘Jag’ wallet for $60 looking very sophisticated fit with three slots to put my notes in.

There was one open one, in the middle was a zip up section in which to store my money and another open section at the back. Deciding on wasting no space, my work money for train, bus and food will float in the back section, where my spending money goes in the front compartment. All my cards also fit nice and smugly in the front compartments with plenty of space and pockets to place other goods.

The girl directed us to the counter in which we had to pay and it almost seemed as if she didn’t care of us standing there, like she had something more important to do. Nevertheless, that was something else I didn’t really like about her. She had the push-away attitude of Penelope in which she didn’t appear as if she was above us but her slight haughtiness showed through.
