Back From The Gym
Tonight I live up to my expectations and as plans do work, I headed to the Gym tonight to have a great workout. In addition, catching a belated train home despite it being an earlier arrival, I headed to the supplement shop near the Gym on Dumaresq Street and bought myself some Creatine Supplement as well as one and a half kilograms of protein powder. Immediately after heading home I made my way to the Gym to which I spent just under an hour there, ogling a certain girl and being ogled by her.
She was a damn hot chick but as she was with some guy I figured to be her boyfriend considering all the looks of suspicion he shed my way, I didn’t do anything but flirt with these eyes. She had the absolutely best, most gorgeously thin body with ladies tight stripe pants that were pedal pushers and a nice tight top which had a touch of blue.
Speaking of blue, I want to buy a shirt I had spotted in this bodybuilding supplement shop which doesn’t cost that much money but looking as if it’s made from micro-fiber and is stretchy, its black and blue hued hands will serve me well. Anyway, that’s why it’s taken me such a long time to write upon these pages and as I will now begin upon my saga of Friday, I know I don’t have too much time to spare and therefore, will straight and up into it…
A Friday Morning Guess
There are no memories of my waking upon Friday morning but rather than leaving this blank, I will act upon my surmise. Considering it a cliché to most other Friday mornings, I figure that I woke up mostly on time, done all my necessary readying at home, caught my bus, slept a touch on the train, chucked my little woody nearing Wynyard and then headed to work.
Seeing no sign of the red polo neck sweater girl for a while now, I headed straight into work and got stuck into the morning mail with Najla who was a touch late in arriving. What I do remember upon my having written notes is the little story behind what happened between jumping off the train and arriving at work. For the most of my saunter I kept glancing to my side at girls passing and in particular speeding myself up slightly to catch up almost neck and neck with a girl I fancied.
In best interests, I looked to my side once or twice upon passing her as she headed up the first flight of stairs and in the corner of my eye I could see a familiar body-shape, blurred by my quaint positioning. In the back of my mind I thought to myself “Hey, those black clothes and that body is unmistakably Selma” yet with this looming I cared not to be rude and turn around again.
Selma Jogs To Catch Me
What surprised me is how it was Selma and she jogged up until she was beside me so we could have a chat together. Our relationship has really bloomed since we started talking candidly with each other and all I can say is, I only wish we started being friends sooner, hoping she didn’t have to leave so soon. “I didn’t know whether to slow down or speed up and catch up to you” she uttered ecstatically, knowing she picked the better option of both.
Listening to her walkman to which she turned down to chat with me, we started talking upon what is repeatedly discussed but considering it was Friday night, it was the right place and time to ask if I was still heading to the City Hotel for her farewell. With my mind not having changed since last we talked, I acknowledged my visit with a doubt harbored in my mind to which I still can’t believe that I upped and done what I had said I would do, fearing no intimidation, repercussions or anxiety, just doing it.
Being rather blasé with her as we walked to work, I was going to bring out my normal smoothing character by asking to listen on her walkman in one headphone but I chose to hold it back as it wasn’t really needed. Grabbing the mail from downstairs, she started heading up the fire stairs confused by my request to which I soon followed in a hurry to catch up with her and make her feel as welcome as she had with me.
The Wrong Man Says Hello
Calling out her name as it echoed up the stairs, I noticed that some guy took the wrap for the greeting to which he was already a stair length up from me and in the middle of both of us. Obviously knowing her, he started chatting as she said hello to him, thinking that it was him who had greeted her. When arriving at level two the three of us headed through and that was the last I talked to Selma, at least for that part in the morning.
Manny Comes Collecting
The main story for the day was my changed tensions for Manny, the Lebanese guy. Heading over shortly after mail was completed and whilst I was sitting at the spare desk where Esme used to sit, he held in his hand an A4 envelope and upon shaking it, I knew the rattling money meant donations. Now before this day, before I lacked confidence to which I felt he took advantage of and thought I was a dickhead in the back of his head, I didn’t like Manny at all, despising his attitude.
However, once the both of us got to chatting and my being in a pleasant mood to start such a conversation, we ended up with an newfound respect for each other and since Friday’s exchange of affiliation, we’ve been chatting away on all occasions. Unsure as to why he was asking the legal department for donations to Viola’s birthday who was up in the claims section, I figured he was hitting everyone in level two so they could buy her something big.
After all, how could you really turn down the offer of being generous and courteous without looking like a stuck up fool. Thinking to myself “Well here’s another two dollars out of my weekend money” to which I had already handed over five dollars for Esme’s farewell, I gave it away willingly as I then started chatting with him.
Najla Stalls On The Phone
Manny was waiting around for Najla to get off the phone so he could also tax her and figuring that she was purposefully hanging on the phone so that she could have his patience bid him walk away, I counter attacked her plan by starting a conversation with him. Najla gets away with too much at work and besides, I wanted to start a conversation with Manny to smooth things over as we had gotten off to a bad start considering my timid days. However, I was surprised how this time around the shoe was on the other foot.
Manny sounded a touch edgy and anxious which always makes it easier for me to begin conversation because I like making people feel comfortable after reading into their body language. You could tell he didn’t feel comfortable standing there as he uttered “I’ve got a cold, I’ve had it for two days now and I took yesterday and the day before off”. Taking those words and mixing them into my own brand of conversation I remarked “Yeah, I took Monday off because I went to skirmish on Sunday, my legs absolutely killed”.
From this, a pattern of emerged to which he noted how he’d been to skirmish before, exclaiming how it was fifteen wogs against fifteen skips. Speaking upon the subject for ten minutes waiting for Najla to cease her conversation, we didn’t lack upon the subject as we were both eagerly familiar with untold stories. When Najla was finally finished her telephone conversation she put on a big questionable face to giving away a further amount of money but as Manny didn’t say “Alright, I’ll come back later” or something to that matter, she ended up forking over the same amount as myself.
At the end of the day neither of us bothered to head out into the kitchen and grab some cake we paid for but hey, it’s the principle and I don’t like seeing Najla getting away with doing no filing of a day, no errands and just churning out briefs while I get all the blame. When he was leaving he said goodbye to me and that was the end of our conversation in that morning part of the day.
