A Night Worth Waiting For

One day missed but one day well worth missing. Today was the last of this month’s briefs at work and a day, which with tonight’s adventure, did cause stress relief. Tonight I had a considerably intense night considering I initially went out only with Tyler to Chevy’s. The good thing about Chevy’s is that many people you know are looming around as talking to people and increasing your communication skills does create a better night.

I would rather dance at a shit club with a host of people that I knew rather than dance relatively by myself at a foreign dancefloor. It is better to know someone but like tonight, it is much better to have a foreign girl introduced to the group. Despite her being a fathom away from my league, I found that I was able to throw aside any nerves with the small group of friends and just be myself.

In the end it paid off as I had done many things that would have even exceeded my glory days of old. The maturity of my former years is shadowed by the youthful essence of my exuberant days. Anyway, I can’t go into detail of tonight’s adventures right now as I am almost falling dead asleep so I will try and complete Tuesday’s episode as fluidly as possible.

Twenty More Minutes

Tuesday began as most of my late nights now produce. At most times when best I sleep, the need to rewind my clock for another twenty minutes of sleep is prevalent. It’s not that I’m that tired from lack of sleep or that I’m even too lazy to get up. Subconsciously, I just tell myself that another twenty minutes will do me well but I end up waking before that alarm rings again.

Being seconds away from the bus-stop as the bus pulled up I had to jog a couple of steps before paying my ticket and heading to the station. Once in Campbelltown station I jumped onto the following train through East Hills and had my habitual sleep before arriving at Wynyard. After the first few days of work I didn’t sleep on the train, thinking that idiots slept on the train. However, now I understand how these people tick, needing those extra hours of sleep to make normal what would otherwise be deprived.

The aim of the game on Tuesday morning was to begin almost immediately upon briefs. As I got accustomed to my workplace and had my usual sarcastic chats with Najla I got my head stuck down into creating a brief. This continued until 9:30 a.m. in which Najla finished filing or whatever else she was completing to start on the morning mail. As the both of us worked on the mail I photocopied investigation reports as Najla stamped and sorted out. With the morning mail complete I also thought to add a document of my own in the outgoing mail.

Deciding to bring along my Centrelink form for payments which I had correctly filled out as having started work, I was hoping to post it. The reason for this is so that Centrelink can get my file and pay me for one week of still being on payments as well as an extra amount of money for finding a job. This obviously is the last time I’ll be cheating the government if it does come through for me and already, I know what I’ll spend the money on.

Catching Up on the Memoirs

Saturday 11:35 a.m.

Wow, I never thought a night could take so much out of me. Now that I’ve had my regulatory eight hours of sleep I can sit here and type of my chronology in hopes that I will catch up with how great a night Friday night turned out to be. From the frustration of not having gone out for three weeks I did contradict the fate of my night by taking actions into my own hands. Everyone is too busy fart-assing around with planning so I decided to finally take the reigns and for my first trial of organizing I was fairly successful.

This will just be a sign of things to come for this month and as I predicted, I can see myself having fun in the City with people of my choice, expanding this circle of friends and experiencing greater revelry. It is my dominant whim to write of last night’s actions but I know that chronology has a beginning and that beginning is Tuesday at work. Therefore, let me continue from which I miserably failed to conclude eight hours ago and let me hope that chronology is served.

Najla and the Phone Calls

The story concludes from my working favorably with Najla, completing the morning mail together and then stating on a second brief to put together. Within the earliest parts of the morning Najla and I chatted about Xavier and our damning thoughts upon him. Sharing uncertainty in his being gay or some lurking pedophile, waiting to unleash his freaky confession when he has me in his sights, Najla had her fair share of scrutiny.

Najla was more to the thought that he was gay and out to no good sharing a little sarcasm by saying “Go on, go out with him for lunch again” as if I was dogging him not to. Opinionated and optimistic as I was in our conversation I knew that my decision had been made about future endeavors with Xavier. When first speaking to him on the train I thought he was an alright guy who looked young for his age.

When he literally tracked me down I thought it was more than a touch persistent and weird but I decided to head out to lunch with him. Back then, I was thinking to myself “Hey, there’s another person I can have lunch with instead of myself”, thinking also that he would be able to help me out regarding my poetry and its being discovered. Xavier, through his uncanny nerves within our intermingling despite being strange had me wanting to give being his friend a try.

Don’t forget, this was within a time (And still is) where I wanted a greater circle of friends and I know it’s peculiar to think I can be a 58 year old guys friend but having lunch with him on a sparse occasion wasn’t bad. Despite the irregularity of complacency I wanted to handle a fellowship but now I know that these are dreaded thoughts.

Early on Tuesday morning whilst sorting out the mail I asked Najla if she could answer the phones each time they rang. Precautionary measures had to be taken as I didn’t want to speak with him and this was the best way for my soft fallibility to take effect. Sure enough, whilst we were talking about Xavier in the morning the phone engaged its first call.

Najla and I glanced at each other with apprised smiles knowing with our sixth sense that it would be a tenacious Xavier pushing this continence of mine. All I heard was “Legal Department Najla speaking” and after a slight pause she added, “No, I’m sorry, Tony’s gone out to deliver a brief, he won’t be back until later today”. Esme was walking around doing the filing at this particular moment and I’m not sure if she was paying attention or wondering what Najla was doing but everyone is inquisitive at work.

Xavier asked for me to ring his mobile phone number in which it was still at home, he, he. When Najla jumped off the phone she was discouraged about having to lie but it took Xavier ringing for a second time for her to remark “You can answer the phone next time, I hate lying”. The second phone call from Xavier was half an hour later and as Najla and I looked at each other in amazement, we figured he was bordering along obsessive.

Each adherence with Xavier built up my thought that he was being tenaciously suspicious and that his possibility of being gay was authentic. With this second phone call I was almost sold but still confused as to his having a wife and two children. Oh, how my paragraphs digress from subjects complete. I do on the same topic hold but digress from countenance.

Calla Walks Past

Straying away from any deliberation regarding Xavier, Najla left for lunch at 12:00 p.m. in which I received no calls from Xavier. With Najla at lunch I believe I tried chopping down some of the immensely piled filing that would otherwise give me a headache on any other given day. However, for some reason I seem to have been much more placid a bearer at work than my usual calmness.

In the day I also got to chat to Jonas at the photocopier in which he asked me about my weekend and we talked about Chevy’s. Our relationship together is starting to prep up a little as we had a good conversation about Chevy’s and how my friends are monotonous with such a club. Chatting with Jonas for a couple of minutes I noticed Calla stepping into the kitchen from outside at the hall.

Turning as I usually do to see who steps through the door my cravings were answered when the sexy Calla walked through. There wasn’t much in our greeting as she walked past and out of my sight into her section but I feel that our attraction to each other had the both of us going out of our way to say hello. Raising my hand as our eyes met we both let out an inviting smile, said hello and then she whipped around the corner.

I really do feel that she likes me or hope it so because I have plenty of desire for her. Not just her intensely delectable and mature body but my being able to talk to her, know her personality and admiring her every detail. Linh and I also had a chat in the hallways of work half an hour before lunch. Deciding to leave Xavier out of the laughable equation we arranged having lunch together and sure enough, when 1:00 p.m. arrived with Najla, I left with Linh.
