Looking For The Red Sweater

With the time now being 10:45 p.m. due to my having to complete the conclusion of Tuesday’s episode, after my brush upon tonight’s events I am ready to continue with the beginning of Wednesday. Hoping that it should only be a small description, by now I should know better, expecting more from myself when best I lessen my proposed productivity. Anyway, Wednesday started without a hitch and as my awareness on Tuesday was evident, when boarding the train I was eagerly looking around for that girl with the red polo neck sweater.

It wasn’t until I jumped off the train that I again noticed we were side by side and now I figured that my popping up around her frequently would mean she would remember me now. Heading up the stairs there was a commonality of confusion about our faces as we were both probably thinking “I saw this person yesterday” in our heads. Hoping that she figures me to be good looking with those quaint little glances, we stuck around each other for the whole journey to work.

When she headed up the escalator and stopped, I done so also two people behind her and made it a point to start walking near the top of the escalator so we would be side by side. Slowing myself down as we headed out of the tunnel I noticed her heading across the street again and without Kelsey to assist for a further day, I was finally going to see which way she headed to work.

Taking a glance at her from behind on most of my journey and from right next to her, I noted that she had very skinny but sexy legs. In addition, her hair was tied up professionally again and her smoothly contoured skin was to die for. Crossing the road as I recklessly do after the light turned green for her to walk across, I slowed down a touch so that I would be behind her.

Surprised that she was actually walking up towards the front of my building I walked side by side with her for a touch and then veering off towards my building I watched her keep walking past. Knowing now that she works past my work and probably on the road nearest the bottom where Darling Harbor is, I’m still to see her again.

Shayma’s Boat Story

The onset of my day was just an opening for a comedic day of errors and lengthy time wasters heightening stress. In all I think I was sent out to four deliveries for the day, Najla, none. The first instance of the day’s episode began when Shayma headed over to our section to hand me an update in the wish that I would get started upon it.

As Shayma usually is the type to crack jokes of realism and tell stories, she broke out into her little story of how the legal department was like all the crew on a boat. “You guys are like the chain guys who turn and turn the chains continuously so that David up there behind the steering wheel can maneuver the legal boat”. Sounding a practical analogy, we had a little laugh to her wacky story and upon her departure we concluded the morning mail.

A Taxi With David

Within the first hour of work, Jana headed over to my desk and explained that I had to head out on a delivery for her. Well actually, with Shayma also wanting me to head out to deliver an update and Jana needing me to head to two different locations, I had a fair bit to get through. Add on top of that my taking with me Najla’s update and you have four different errands in the one hit. Grabbing myself two cab charges from Jana, when heading to the lifts I found that David was also heading up to Oxford Street to a meeting room.

Knowing it would be quicker for me to share a taxi with him, we headed downstairs and then walked towards the joining street in search of a taxi. David asked me about my experience at skirmish to which I answered wholeheartedly but because he was my superior, I felt a touch of apprehension. Nevertheless, as I hailed down a cab and he jumped in the front we continued our conversation until I jumped out near the Supreme Court. Thanking David for the lift, I began my trek along Macquarie Street looking for a certain doctor’s office to which I thought I had been before.

Lost On Macquarie Street

The day was sunny and having on my jacket proved to be a touch uncomfortable in the weather. That would explain why I started to get irritated walking down Macquarie Street trying to find the direction of the numbers and having walked half a kilometer I finally realized that I had to walk back. Dirty with myself I gave up looking for the doctor’s office and headed to deliver one of the briefs at Martin Place.

Problem after problem ensued as I headed up into the MLC Building, figuring that was the correct one. However, unable to press the level ten button, I knew I had made a lapse of judgment and heading up the street to a building which I thought was a higher number, I eventually headed up and dropped off the document. Having already wasted twenty minutes and starting to perspire lightly, I tried again to look for the doctor’s office but couldn’t find it.

The Compensation Court Errand

Having dropped off my second package already, I finally caught a cab and made amends by heading for the compensation court. Luckily, my business there was fairly quick as I headed in, grabbed myself a ticket and then walked up to the counter minutes later. Luckily for me, there was a good looking Asian girl to admire who had nice browned skin and a great cheekbone and chin structure.

Having one of those slightly muscled necks with a slim body, I found her to be attractive, raising the hopes in me that one day I will get onto an Asian chick, a good looking one. After a lengthy wait, I was handed a file to which I paid with pre-received money from Jana and as I headed back outside, I caught another taxi to Macquarie Street in hopes of getting the address right.

During our little expedient trip I learnt from the taxi driver that the obstacle I had seen from Hyde Park when eating of a day was indeed a public pool. With a water fountain or two around, I figured that this large pool would be pumping come summer time to which I’ll be down there meeting girls in the thick of action. With this enlightened mindset, I found the doctor’s office on Macquarie Street and collected some large X-rays to which I carried back to work folded up in my hand.

Lunch Spotting Lyssa

Heading out to lunch at 1:00 p.m. and having no one to accompany me, I decided a trip to Circular Quay was called for. Some quiet time was much needed and as I headed quickly to buy some Teriyaki Fish from the sushi shop, I punched through my train ticket and headed down to my platform to await the next train. As the train came to a halt and before I jumped on, I glanced at the people jumping off and in particular a blonde who had a stark resemblance to Lyssa.

Glancing at her curiously as she walked in haste up the stairs, I got a quick glance at her face but wasn’t sure whether this splitting resemblance to Lyssa was actually her. With there being a girl resembling Bronte walking up those stairs, I was inclined to believe that it was Lyssa. However, with a doubt in my mind, I wanted to run up those stairs and stop a possibly different girl in the bid to see what she looked like and remark upon her resemblance.

However, I kept my curiosity with me as I jumped on the train, vowing that I would call Lyssa later that same night, asking if it was indeed her on the train. Well, as you might now it was indeed Lyssa, carting along not only Bronte but Penelope with her. Finding out that the three of them headed to Wynyard for shopping, I had a bitter taste in my mouth knowing that Lyssa didn’t even have the effort the day before to meet me for lunch yet, she can speed around with her real friends to go shopping.

Back From Lunch

Anyway, there’s not much to say about my having lunch apart from it being a blissful day and my heading back to work on the earlier train. Back to work at 1:45 p.m., when heading back upstairs I noticed Linh out the front with everyone else but as I’m usually apprehensive, I kept my distance and waved, fearful of walking in uninvited. Linh must have thought I was being a snob but it was great to see him waving as I turned around in the last few seconds as the elevator closed.

In the second portion of my day there were a couple of other things that happened that I shall quickly point out. Despite Najla having her own desk, on Tuesday she irritated me just a fraction. However, I felt somewhat unrepressed when I had a chat with various friends. Later in the day I ended up chatting away with Jonas and Rhett, making amends of my earlier snobbery.

Sorrel Introduces Herself

I also had a chat with the chubby guy who originally had the same blue shirt as me, I joked around with the supervisor guy of claims and I even shared a couple more words with Calla (Whom I believe is really called Calla). There was even an Asian or Philippine girl called Sorrel who I spoke to. Rather pleasant and forward, she sought to formally introduce herself to me and then her friend standing next to her as I was doing my photocopying.

Feeling she had strong character and must have attended some lectures on how to speak confidently, we ended up chatting like we were old friends. She was so inviting in conversation that even with fifteen people in the room, I wouldn’t feel intimidated to keep conversation. We talked about how she’s been working for HIH the past year and a half, yep a very pleasant girl. Late in the afternoon while trying again to complete the outgoing mail I was sent on a delivery.

Having to deliver another document or two, I grabbed two cab charges from Jana and went on my way to relieve some tension from work as well as create some as there was work to do. However, my day ended nicely and with my departure for the station with Najla, I caught my rain home and that was that. With the time now being 11:35 p.m., I must be off to try and gain some creditable sleep as tomorrow after all is another day.

I should be expecting that new guy coming in tomorrow to take over Esme’s place and I hope that these entries can be cut down somewhat through the week. Right now I only have Thursday, Friday and Saturday to speak of which is great news but after tomorrow I’ll also have Monday’s events to speak of, four days, sound familiar. Regardless, I’ve learnt to take things one day at a time and that certainly seems to be the case on weekdays…
