Chain Repair In Campbelltown
Just to quickly comment about some adventures on Saturday I would have forgotten had it not been for my cruising back through past entries, my trip to Campbelltown with Keith. Just to plainly write of it as detail is sparse, we firstly headed to the jewelry shop in Campbelltown so I could get my chain fixed. Making my way to the shop I handed my chain to the Asian lady behind the counter who informed me that it would only be 15 minutes of a wait before my chain was soldered back to health.
Making my way back to Keith who was double parked on the new look ‘One Way’ Queen Street he commented on how it felt weird driving on the right hand side of the road and then we headed off to Macdonald’s. With only a little bit of time to spare Keith thought it would be a good idea to dine in at Macdonald’s and as he gave me money he asked me to order for him and buy whatever else for myself with the remaining change.
Lunch On Queen Street
Obliged to order as he sat down reading the paper I ordered our food and sat down in a little booth. As Keith and I began eating the conversation started to flow about the night ahead, the stupefying idiosyncrasies of Ralf and then a more hilarious subject.
Our main witticism at Macdonald’s was to comment on how they were trying to make Campbelltown into the City in which it just evolved from there. For example, we have our first zebra crossing on Queen Street which was erected a year ago. Then you have the road opened at the front of the mall joining the whole of Queen Street, Chevy’s being renovated by new owners and created into a City Club and now Queen Street becoming a one way street.
Campbelltown has all the confusing peculiarities of the City and as we pondered upon the changes I suggested that Airds would have been the equivalent of Redfern and I would have been living in Newtown. Out of the blue I blurted out “There should be a Macdonald’s in Airds” and as I added “Imagine that” the true hilarity evolved. We expressed that if there was a Macdonald’s in Airds the only thing people could afford would be the ice cream cones.
However, even then the thought of the Aboriginals asking the Macdonald’s staff if they have ‘Twenty Cents’ is impregnable raillery. Keith continued the laughs as asserted words spoke “Macdonald’s in Airds should have an incentive plan. Hand in your dole form before midday and get a free ice cream cone”. In addition, there should be a petrol station adjoined to their Macdonald’s so that the children can get the full benefit of a family restaurant.
The jokes continued as we renamed all the hamburgers and other items of purchase such as the petrol fume patty with special sauce and pickled marijuana as well as the favorite Bourbon thickshake.
Pokies At Ettamogah
Heading back to the jeweler within fifteen minutes I picked up my chain, affixed my Golden T and then placed back my pride and manhood around my neck. From there we headed to Macarthur Square as Keith tried on the chain and pondered on whether to buy it or not. That would have been beneficial to me as I would have gotten some of my money back and it’s a good thing that Keith bought it off me today.
Keith paid me $30 today and it was a welcome amount as I spent $6 on the pokies today at Ettamogah (While Keith won a fair fortune) and on Saturday night I also spent a further $5 on pokies. I hope it doesn’t become as crazed an obsession as it was to see Keith furiously waste his money, I don’t think I’ll overdo it. At Macarthur Square we just walked around as Keith walked into Woolworths to check out a CD.
While in there he told me that he had a great time at ‘Offspring’ where he got kicked out before the concert was finished because he almost got into a scuffle. Apparently he was in the toilets and some guy said “Offspring rules” and as Keith replied “Yeah, so what” a scuffle of words broke out. A girl behind the counter in the music section went with Keith that night as well as Binh. As we headed out I noticed Nikita with a bunch of her friends and deciding not to be rude despite her oblivious eyes I said hello as we passed. She turned quickly and said “Oh hello” but there was nothing much in our greeting as we both kept walking.
Aching For The Gym
From Macarthur Square I wanted to head to the library so that I could check out ‘music-central’ for the song ‘Crazy Love’. However, Keith had different plans as he had to arrive at a cricket training session so there was no time for extracurricular activities. Dropped off at 2:00 p.m. I headed to the Gym some half an hour later in which I was still aching bodily from my last workout. My Chest was sore to stretch and that also went for my back, triceps and partially in my Biceps.
I knew I couldn’t wait until Sunday to train and despite my body aching and only waiting three days until my next workout I headed down to the Gym. Apart from the aches and pains at the start of my workout I quickly got through them with a warm-up and by the end of the workout my pains had been immersed by pumping blood. During my workout I decided to weigh myself and was surprised that within the last two weeks I had gone down from 79.5 Kilos to a surprising 78 Kilos.
I’m pretty sure that it has to do with my eating less due to my going to work and I welcome this decrease in weight which used to be at a high of 74.5 Kilos. In the last four to five months I have lost five kilos of fat and now I am starting to regain the glory of muscularity and not at the price of getting fat again. Work is keeping me honest in regards to eating healthy and this healthier eating of Sushi and other fine foods topped with exercise has brought my turnaround.
When my workout was finished at 4:30 p.m. I bought myself a battered fish from Bradbury shops and ate it along with just as nice a meal that my mum had prepared. Upon finishing my food I started to write in my diary as you would already know. Here now is the adventures that took place in the Gym, my routine…
Chest Day
Warm-up: Consisting of three minutes on the bike I burnt 30 calories before jumping off, doing some stretches and then beginning the onslaught for the Chest.
Chest: Starting with the predominant need for warming up I completed three sets and then began again in my main course on Bench Press. Despite my Chest aching from the last workout I had a belief that my Chest would actually work harder because the resistance created by the muscles repair was still evident. My hunch turned out to be correct as I loaded the bar up with 150 pounds and completed 10 reps by myself despite having a spotter.
Taking the weight down to 140 pounds for my next set I completed a further 8 reps with two forced reps before moving to my next exercise. Elated that I was creeping up to my former best poundage I made my way to Decline Dumbbell Press and pushed out 10 hard reps with 60 pounds. Dips appeared to be my next force of strategy as I jumped on and completed 6 reps before moving to the assisted dips to finish off a further 4.
Machine Seated Bench Press was next with 140 pounds and as I only pushed out another 6 reps I punished myself by dropping weight twice to 100 pounds and completing 15 reps. Moving to Peck Deck Fly’s I loaded the weight up to 120 pounds and prepared myself as I pushed out an energetic 12 reps. My second last set was with 60 pounds on Pullovers where I completed a straining 10 reps. My last set was with Close Grip Bench Press and using 60 pounds I concluded my Chest with 12 reps.
Back Biceps And Abs
Back: Deciding to take it a little easier on my back regarding sets I began with a warm-up on Neutral Grip Pulldowns and then increasing the weight to 120 pounds I pushed out 12 reps. Leaving the weight as was I pushed out a further 10 reps before I moved to Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns and with 100 pounds I pulled down 12 reps to my back. Seated Cable Rows followed with 120 pounds, taking my time as I completed 12 reps. My last set was with One Arm Dumbbell Rows and using 60 pounds I completed 12 reps per arm without hassles but with strict motion.
Biceps: Beginning with Preacher Cable Curls and the EZ Curl Grip I placed the weight to 50 pounds and with that I pushed out 8 unchallenged reps. Alternate Dumbbell Hammer Curls was next as I used 30 pounders and completed at least 12 reps of Hammer Curls switching between bringing the arm up in a normal fashion and vice versa. There wasn’t much motion for the Biceps as I quickly moved to Reverse Cable Curls and with 35 pounds I created 12 reps. Let me just also note that I completed a set of Cable Upright Rows with 70 pounds and 12 reps. Another set not noted was my Shoulder Shrugs with 40 pounders and 25 reps.
Abdominals: This was almost as straight forward as my last workout but again, I was fairly fatigued and finished early. The fatigue began in my first set as I used 50 pounds on the Machine Ab Crunches and repped out 30 reps. Taking the weight down to 40 pounds I pushed out a further 30 reps and then finished off with one more set of 15 reps.
