A Tired Keyboard
This computer keyboard is getting very tired. Spanning now a couple of months, I’ve abused this keyboard by accidentally stepping on it through the night in my bids to creep to the toilet, I’ve continually used it night after night and bashed at it once or twice when I’ve gotten aggravated with the computer programs I use. All in all, the command buttons hardly work now so methinks that a new keyboard should be in the works within the next couple of weeks. Don’t hold me up to those words though because I tend to put off buying a new keyboard because it’s not a necessity and to me, it’s a waste of money.
However, with my throwing $57 into my bank account today and expecting it to exceed over a $100 possible credit (Being $900 still in debt) I was surprised that from nowhere, I was debited around ten dollars in expenses. I don’t think I get charged for transferring money via the telephone lines and if I don’t, I’d like to know where all that money is going. Despite these curiosities, I do feel good knowing that my debts are being paid off and apart from my Credit Card, I am wholly debt free.
Chemists and Fried Chips
Starting late tonight in my entries, I have that to blame on my short span of time shopping after work and then my settling down back at home. Arriving home with a lift from dad, I couldn’t be bothered waiting around for a bus as it was already past 7:00 p.m. so I headed to the nearest phone and dialed him up. Walking down the main street and checking both chemists down the left flank for body wash, I was fairly unsuccessful.
Nevertheless, at both stores the service from both ladies was commendable to which they chiseled a spot beside me for the whole of my presence. Due to my being preoccupied dad had parked the car as he made a pass of Dumaresq Street and calling out to me as I was about to cross the street and order some Sydney Fried Chips, we headed back to the car in good spirits and then home.
Another Dead Weekend
With their being no phone calls tonight, I feel that the hype of last months hopeful deliverance to better weekends has now died down. I’ve tried my best, I’ve delivered myself and with their neglect I have forsworn that there will be no future undertaking of power, at least for this month. Let the disappointment dwell, let new inroads create outward ties and next month, I’ll be ready for the disappointment all over again.
What’s more discouraging, the fact that I’m still buying club clothes and not going out anywhere or that I will eventually just wear them to Chevy’s, where that scene really isn’t worthy of my attire. Anyway, back at home I ate for half an hour, deliberated cost on my computer, wrote up my pointers and just had myself a shower. Since it is late, I shall begin upon Tuesday’s credibility and as the weekend will pass, I will catch up…
A Sleepless Night
Still, the dread of waking up late and paying no heed to this baby alarm clock that makes me think “You’ve got to be serious” when hearing the baby alarm ringing is taking its toll. Tuesday morning my sleep was without interruption and that’s the reason why I woke up ten minutes late. However, to add to my strife, the night before I couldn’t get myself to sleep until 1:00 a.m., tossing and turning continuously in bed.
For some reason, the sheets felt uncomfortable for me to sleep only, probably because I had made myself so aware now that they should get washed more regularly. How I yearn for the feel of silk between my body, hoping one day I will save enough money to buy some for my bed. Anyway, getting to sleep around 11:15 p.m. on Monday night, for the next hour and a half I was wriggling around with my eyes clothes but not zoning off.
Jumping up on frustration to head to the toilet as I thought that would take things off my mind, I eventually ended up using my cuddly blanket as a bed sheet to which I used an equally comfortable but thinner blanket on top. The night produced much freeze and I found that if I allowed my hand to rest outside of the blanket, it would be tingling frozen within half an hour. Fortunately, I got myself to sleep around 1:00 a.m. and as I woke up close to 6:15 a.m. I figure that I had less than desirable sleep.
The Late Bus
Hurrying myself with a quicker shower and then relaxing in the warmth of my small heater, I prepared myself for work and when the time was right, I headed down to catch my bus. Bracing the wintry breeze that was still evident despite our resolving to spring, I waited for what seemed to be a bus on time and what that would normally handle our load to the station. However, with the woes progressively mounting, today wasn’t to be my lucky day and as you probably have read, neither was Wednesday or the rest of my working week at that.
Seeing that twin girl taking a seat in front of me and on the other side of the aisle, I glanced over at her a couple of times in our little adventure. Ever since the train prices have gone up, efficiency has gone down and I started to get quietly frustrated to how we were picking up passengers on each stop. What’s more, all the traffic lights on the way to Campbelltown Station were against us and although there were only three, counting the ticking time on my watch was sign enough that I was pissed off.
Letting off the mentally challenged guy off at his usual stop as he talked to himself upon jumping off, I urged the lights to stay green on the bottom of Dumaresq street. However, luck was not to be with me as they turned yellow and the driver cared not to run through it as everyone else would normally do. With this, the tardy trip to the station was sealed and so was my being late for work on Tuesday.
Jumping off at Campbelltown Station, I thought to allow the blonde twin through first, sticking very close to her as so she could get a whiff of my ‘Chrome’ perfume. Perfume is a waste of money as it only has its effects early in the morning and I find by midday the whole fragrance has worn off. Anyway, the blonde twin showed signs of intrigue to the odor I was releasing and being in no hurry, I flashed my ticket through the machine and sat myself down, waiting for the next train to arrive.
The Pale Girl on the Train
To my surprise, there was a train due in a couple of minutes which meant I would get to work, belated to a minority. Making my venture onto the second carriage and upstairs, I sat near the front, two seats back from what was to be an intriguing lineup of beautiful girls. As Najla noted at work, there are more women in the world than men and I’m just glad that the hot ones always seem to catch my train and when they do, it’s always in numbers.
In particular, on my train trip I only noticed one girl that I thought was uniquely hot. At first, I looked at her as being too bland, seeing all the colors blending into her face and making her seem pale and unnoticeable. Nevertheless, glancing intriguingly at her face, her clothes and the upper portion of her body long enough had me slowly change my tune. All along, I thought she was good looking but it took a stern observation to determine how much of an attraction she was.
Firstly, her face was sweetly smooth, just a touch of undistinguished freckles, blue faded eyes, smooth cheek bones and lips that just made her first stand out to me. The lipstick wasn’t too harsh to a slut’s color or too modest or prude, it just stuck out and complemented what otherwise would have been bland. Being more of a pigmented purple than to red, hers were lips that weren’t large but appeared so as they were pouted out, enhanced by the lipstick, hiding the straight white teeth beneath.
Her hair was long and to her shoulder blades and being a pale orange-brown inclined to be called red, it blended with her pale complexion. Wearing a black top underneath a colored jacket that enhanced that pale look, she had a decent pair upon her and as she talked with her friend to the City, I sat there, glancing on occasion when best she would be occupied. Finding freckles attractive after going out with Lyssa, I found the sparse freckles lining her Chest to be very appealing.
However, good times must come to an end and as she jumped off at Redfern I was at a loss to why she would work in such a dump but hey, you’ve got to earn a living. The rest of my merry trip to Wynyard was spent thinking about the great meal I had for breakfast. Trying to show haste, I opened up a can to heat up as well as a tin of fish and beans which I munched down. Having a banana and yogurt as well including drink, I was a wealthy belly of a man.
Mountains of Mail and Filing
The grievance of the first day after a long weekend was upon picking up the mail from downstairs. Having accumulated from Monday’s mail, Najla and I now had two day’s worth of mail to get through, not fun. Piling it up upon our desk before Najla arrived, I sought to complete a brief already laid out on the desk. Conservative with desk space, I also like getting things out of the way and enjoying a tidy workplace as I am a clean-freak, I allowed myself this challenge before helping Najla with the mail minutes later.
Najla probably loathed my not helping her in those ten minutes she started upon the mail but from her procrastinating ways and the day to come, it was well worth it. Granting filing more time than my usual despite having a list of briefs to complete before Friday’s arrival, I devoted more of my time to what was more important on the day than completing briefs, the filing. There was no getting away from filing for the whole day as when I started to get it down, someone would come over and stack some more files to be put away on top of what I already had to achieve.
There was probably two to three hours spent on filing for the whole day to which I put away all of Margot’s files and most of David’s leaving some for Najla to do her share. However, she hates filing as she hates, hell, all beneath it and all Montagues. Since I’m not above or below Najla in my position, all I can do is encourage her to do some filing but it’s up to Najla whether she wants to pull her own weight around.
It was utter chaos and stress-building for the most of the day as amassed filing wasn’t the only congeniality to tension. Margot came over midway through the day handing me a bunch of files she wanted me to locate. It seems that everyone has seen that I can work well under pressure and that I’m pretty much on top of everything so now they’re starting to give me more responsibilities.
This is good in a way because I’m seen as the go-to man but as I was packed on with filing, files to be found and to which Kelsey came over and handed me files to be photocopied and briefed, it does have its downfalls. Najla sits there complacent in her thoughts, knowing that she doesn’t have to shed an assisting word or two because I was given the responsibility.
Najla Leaves It to Me
If it were me seeing Najla tackled with a large workload, I would help her out with the little things so we could even it out but Najla looks as if she’s just started taking this job for a ride. She’s heading off to College three times a week now after work and all being workdays, I do believe it’s taking a toll on her enthusiasm for work.
The way I figure, it’s either got to be one or the other and I truly believe and believed when Najla first told me upon starting work, she’s going to quit work because of her hardships with College. I’m just counting down the days where she’ll continually push herself away from responsibility, giving me more of a problem to handle. Joselyn is already starting to get pissed off with Najla and how Joselyn’s filing is never put away.
Thalia also had a spew on how Joselyn’s filing had packed up under the file higher than anyone else’s filing. There will come a day when Najla just can’t be bothered with work and will just sit there like a stunned mullet all day, moaning about it being a hectic day when she done nothing.
For the whole day, Najla never touched any portion of her filing despite my submissively asserting that she should get to work on them. “Shit, look at Joselyn’s trolley full of files” I would say, inadvertently trying to make her realize that she had to get to work on it. Administration isn’t all about creating briefs but this seems to be the only thing that Najla is devoted to achieving at work.
When Najla has no more briefs and she’s waiting upon the printers to bring her files back, she won’t work on filing or anything else but she’ll find some way to dawdle and then have the nerve to jokingly say “Get back to work” when I sit there sarcastically chatting with her in my lost pretense. In the last ten minutes of the workday Najla put away some of Joselyn’s files but what pissed me off is that she noted she’d already checked through the filing before putting them away, utter bullshit.
