Lyssa Alone In Accounts

When it came to my having lunch, I called Lyssa at 12:30 p.m. to make sure that she couldn’t mess up the plans and as all seemed to be in order I patiently waited. Lyssa was working alone in the accounts section as everyone else was at a meeting. Being anxious about heading to work in the morning, Lyssa remarked how she had been left alone before for an hour but not for a whole day.

“Usually I have someone to show my work so I can see if I’m doing it right but this time around I had to just do it” she cried when we were chatting over lunch. “You don’t understand, I had people continually asking me to draw up cheques” she added, diversifying her elaborate day of lonely mayhem.

Kalinda Walks Past

Leaving work a couple of minutes before 1:00 p.m. so as I wouldn’t have Lyssa waiting around at the front of HMV for too long, I scooted off in a touch of hurry. Again, I received a distinct déjà vu from Kalinda who more than not made me realize her personality was so much like Janice’s, her splitting image. Today as I was walking to Pitt Street to meet up with Lyssa, Kalinda was walking right near me just not paying attention to me.

Naturally this would get on my nerves but what surprised me more was the fact that she walked right past me, right next to me and didn’t say a thing or even flinch. You could tell that she wanted to get past me without me noticing her or stopping her for words and abiding by her wishes, I thought not to talk amongst the offensive gesture. Taking a glance at Kalinda as I walked behind her, my old perceptions that she was attractive changed quickly as she wasn’t too great after all.

In fact, I only wish that I was in front of her so I could more or less show off the fact that I was meeting up with someone evidently better looking than her. It’s as if I would be saying “You think you’re too good for me, we’ll from what I have here, I don’t think so” and more or less, kicking dirt in her surprised face.

Chips And Calamari

Lunch was dealt at the food court where HMV is and just under Hound Dog. Uncaring on what we should eat, we both walked around until we finally decided to pick hot chips and calamari rings. Buying Lyssa a diet coke we headed to a freed up table and sitting down, we began eating and enjoying conversation between bites. In this time, Lyssa thought to tell me about her ordeal at work as I told her about my day.

Inquisitively, she asked “What do you and Najla talk about all day”, probably finding it hard to believe that I can be the talkative type I have never seemed to embody around her. Somehow in our conversation we got to talking about Lyssa’s going out last weekend and then, to my curiosity for these pages, I probed lightly into her experiences with the Canadian guy. Curious as to how far the two of them had gone, Lyssa thought to note that she’s never gotten onto any guy at a nightclub except for the Canadian guy.

Bad on her mathematics as she is with handling her temper, she also noted that she’s only gotten onto four guys since breaking up with me, I don’t think so. Anyway, I learnt that from 3:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. in the morning Lyssa spent with this guy. At one stage they headed down to the beach in which the guy asked “How long has it been since a guy has kissed you”.

Not wanting to sound like a tart as it had only been a week and a half, Lyssa lengthened the time somewhat. The Canadian guy also thought to note that he loved how Lyssa was so natural and as he noted that he hated drunks, Lyssa sat there agreeing cynically, knowing she was pissed off her nut. Eventually, the two of them got to kissing on a walkway and I don’t think there would have been much to it after hearing her story.

Rumors About Chevy’s

Moving to the contents of fashion in our conversation, I noted that I wanted to show Lyssa a puff jacket that I wanted to buy from Gas Station for her stamp of approval. Somehow digressing to Chevy’s from those words, I noted how I had seen Jonas with short hair. “Yeah, I saw him later in the night” She uttered, “Kiley also saw you there for the night”. Explaining how I was sitting right across from her, Lyssa noted that both of them told Lyssa how I had left with a blonde girl at the end of the night.

How deceptive lies do emerge and I know this had absolutely no truth to it. The only thing that would have come close to my being around a girl was Travis’s Phoenix sitting at our table. Despite that, I thought to mention that I heard Lyssa left with Radley and much to her surprise, I knew the rumors had a possibility of being false. These fabrications amused our minds for the rest of our stint eating and from there we made plans to head up to Hound Dog.

Hound Dog With Lyssa

Mentioning that she would never refuse such an offer, Lyssa headed up the escalators and had a smoke first as I looked at some shops before we both headed in together. Lyssa thought to note how she’s bought everything in the store now, making it sound like Hound Dog was the only place she shopped. Regardless, as the both of us stepped in there, I received attention from that black girl who gave me a second opinion with my Petersham shirt, the girl who initially was wearing the Hound Dog waist thing.

As the two of us chatted, Lyssa walked around lonely with an bewildered look on her face, unsure as to how I was chatting away with the staff and she wasn’t getting a whiff of attention. Making my way up to the front counter I had her check if she had the jewelry that Wade was wearing on Friday night but unfortunately, she couldn’t find what I was looking for.

As she was standing behind the counter, she kept flicking the stud on her tongue in and out of her mouth, hopeful that she was giving me erotic subliminal messages. Lyssa had an intrigued concern on her smirking face, as if she knew what was going on. As I was told that there would be a sale on for the next two weeks starting from tomorrow, it sounded like a good plan for me to start buying some items where needed.

From Hound Dog Lyssa and I headed out towards Gas Station but not after Lyssa was stopped by some keen guy trying to sell Lyssa a pamphlet for $55 that guaranteed Lyssa $350 worth of hair care, perms and cuts. Sitting there listening to his bullshit and sodden attempts to win her over with his chatting lines, I just stared blankly and rather uncaringly to the direction that I wanted to head.

When Lyssa finally released her suckered grip we quickly headed to Gas Station in which Lyssa liked what I was going to buy and looking at a denim jacket she thought was good, we headed back outside. Parting our ways, Lyssa thanked me for lunch and as simple as that, we were off, on our way back to work.

Cab Charges And Deliveries

For the rest of my day at work I completed the urgent brief in which I had to head out and deliver it as well as a document for Kelsey. Receiving two cab charges as opposed to three, I caught a taxi with the peculiarity of a Greek chick around the age of 26 driving it. As we chatted our way towards the end of Elizabeth Street despite my croaky voice I let myself out and then took ten minutes trying to locate the building.

Heading up I done my first delivery and then catching another cab with a dormant Asian we listened to the radio until I reached Phillip Street, near the DX office. Delivering the second item for Kelsey I walked the rest of the way back to work which took me ten minutes and a long time in the cold blowing weather. When back at work I was freezing and it felt like my cold had escalated, the coughing anyway.

It was around this time that I had a chat with Jonas for a couple of minutes about Chevy’s and how I was thinking of heading out to Rogues this Saturday. Making my way back to my section I also came across Linh in which we shook hands and then he made plans with me for lunch tomorrow at midday. Sounds good to me two plans for lunch, two days in a row.

Completing some filing at the end of the day with half an hour to spare Najla and I were the last to leave at the end of the day as we braved the hard blowing breeze to the station. Catching a normal train back home again, I got very tired sitting in the middle and was grateful to find that the lady sitting in the window seat jumped up near the middle of the trip. For the remainder of the way home I slept my head on the cold window which was a touch uncomfortable but I was grateful.

Planning The Weekend

Heading home at 7:00 p.m. I began calling everyone, trying to plan the weekend coming. Giving Tyler the first call as we are the planners, he mentioned that apart from my idea of Rogues on Saturday, we should head out to Chevy’s and the Catholic Club on Friday. Sounding like a plan to me, the eventfulness of the weekend was coming on par with what I would like it to be, sort of on the same caliber of Lyssa’s weekends.

From Tyler I called Ace in which I talked with him for around fifteen minutes. In that time he informed me that he couldn’t go out after he spoke so keenly about heading out to Rogues. However, he was the one to note that I had to either go to Rogues or Home this weekend if I was heading into the City, no place else. Mentioning that we should give his brother Nero a call, to my amazement, Ace noted that Nero had no real friends.

Calling Nero

Living alone, working at Shell service station, not owning a car, having no girlfriend and no nightlife, I thought that Nero was a sick cunt to hang around with and from our bonding on Friday, I thought it would be well worth calling him out this weekend. Therefore, I tracked him down at work and after five minutes waiting whilst he was fixing some pumps, I had him call me back. Nero was keen on heading out as he noted “Whatever you do, I’m there”.

Being keen myself on broadening the pool of friendship, we made plans for Friday as well as Saturday as we talked for a fair while. There is not much time now to speak of the whole conversation in full but as we finished, I called up Tyler again. Tyler seemed to have the same impression that Nero was a sick cunt and it was a good idea to invite him out with us.

Now with three definite people heading out together and Shawn being another possibility, I couldn’t get into contact with anyone else. Johnnie was already asleep at home, Shawn was at Cricket practice and Kofi’s phone wasn’t answering. It’s sad how Ace’s generation has surpassed ours knowing he can’t come out with his shining temperament and make amends of an otherwise dull night. However, maybe Nero will have such a shining light about him and the three of us can make a dueling team.

Anyway, that is where I must leave these pages as the time is twenty minutes from midnight. Sleep shall be silent tonight and let me hope my nose does not block more than it needs to. Just a note, I done some sit-ups and a slight touch of pushups tonight and now as I turn my computer off, I’ll build that muscle in sleep.
