Circling Macarthur Square
Macarthur yielded nothing more than a big circling of its territory and then I was back on my way down to the station. I don’t think I walked into any shops to peruse their items except for one shop full of eyewear, hopeful I could see the Calvin Klein Glasses at a much cheaper price. Finding no such luck, I continued my progress through Macarthur Square, being the nomad I am and glancing at each respective female that walked past.
Holding a certain charisma, my grateful eyes, glancing at their admitting bodies curiously, I knew to the women I noticed, I was more than just a passing face. They would have known that I found an interest in them and as they walked past, glancing once modestly at me, shared interest would have attracted like a magnet. Making my way downstairs and then on my final stretch back out to the station I noticed the hottest and most appealing attraction of the day.
The Girl On The Bench
There, sitting alone on a seat, I noticed a girl with red hair, more definite to a brown color. Her body looked old but young, like one of those girls on the front cover of cosmopolitan and just by looking at her, you wouldn’t think her to be the most stunning girl. However, the seduction of her perfect skin, matching clothes with her hair and the way she sat so elegantly upon that seat, she was amazing.
It’s hard to explain how she was sitting but as I walked closer to her, she looked so innocent yet so in control and yet, so inviting. To me, it seemed like she was posing for a picture in cosmopolitan and as I passed her I gave her a glance and as our eyes met for a split second, that was it. Deciding not to turn around until I was further down the path, her vision was obscured by many people and alas, that was the last I saw of her.
She was my perfect dream as she was just perfect. Not too much glamour, not too much in any given area, a youthful look as well as a silent appearance that makes people notice her when they otherwise wouldn’t. It would have been great to hear her talk, to delve into her inner self and to be with her as she was what my dreams awake to.
Looking For Caspian At Prism
On the way back outside I done what I always do. Heading past Prism I looked inside to see if I could spot Caspian, the guy that Lyssa got onto ages ago. As the usual irony yields against my favor, I could only see an old guy working behind the counter and again, his vision has avoided me yet again. Making my journey to the station I passed another horde of passengers jumping off a train which had just left and therefore, I had to sit myself down for fifteen minutes to wait for another train.
There were no clouds in the sky and the three guys sitting around me were all wearing glasses. I was the only one without a fashion accessory that would help my squinting eyes from the peril of the sun. From my somber sleep the night before and my beaten up face from the flu, I had more trouble keeping my eyes open to the sun than I usually would. With the train arriving I thought of Kofi again and with the intentions in my mind, I hoped that I would bump into him back in Campbelltown.
Rogues Plans With Kofi
Fate brushed us against each other for conversation today and it was fate that would have us see each other back in Campbelltown. This new verve of charisma and this fate charm around my neck had something to do with seeing Kofi today. Knowing that I would see Kofi back at Campbelltown due to my faith, I wanted to ask him if he would join me this weekend to head out to Rogues. Fate has helped my plead to regain my old leadership and well enough, my old self, placing Johnnie and now Kofi in my path to make those hopes happen.
Jumping out on platform two at Campbelltown I hadn’t traveled halfway up the stairs when already my attentive eyes spotted Kofi and his friend walking down the stairs of platform three. Fate had chosen his path and as I called out to him over the train starting to move, he flinched but couldn’t hear much. With my new ticket I made my way out of the station hoping that he would exit from the third platform but as he didn’t, I made my way up and through the ticket machine again to chat with him.
His friend had his eyes on me most of the way with a smile on his face and as I made my way through the ticket machines, the three of four badges were just eyeing me. Uncaring, I shook Kofi’s hand again and then told him about my plans to get everyone together for a night at Rogues on Saturday night. Unsure as to whether Kofi was feigning his eagerness, he told me he would be interested and gave me his home phone number as he no longer has a mobile phone.
“What, are you trying to get something together for the weekend” he asked as I nodded my head. “You like dancing to R & B don’t you” I asked him as he replied “What are you kidding”, starting to do a little dance move. “Alright, I’ll call you some time this week to tell you of the plans” I noted flashing my ticket once again to the badges as I fed it through for a third time.
Shopping For Glasses
For the next half an hour I fed my fashion accessory desires by heading first to the eyewear shop on Queen Street, where the crossing used to be. Having bought an old pair of glasses from there two odd years ago I knew they had some fashionable pieces in there at affordable and expensive prices. Seeing some yellow lens glasses similar to the cheap ones I bought to the City but with smaller and squarer frames, the $25 was fairly appealing to me.
As I tried them on a lady assistant came up to me and from there, the fun began. Asking her to bear with my cold, I had her show me the pricier glasses in the shop, commenting that I was looking for a particular style but not as expensive. Trying on two or three pairs of glasses and also having a chat about how I could buy colored lenses that I could pop in and out of the frames I buy, I showed her the model number for the Calvin Klein Glasses.
Informing me that she could ring up the manufacturer and definitely get them cheaper for me, she jotted down my number and told me she would call later in the day with some information in regards to those glasses. Heading out of her store with renewed hope that I would find cheaper designer label glasses, I headed down Queen Street in search of my next business of interest.
My Fashion Habits
Finding that I am very picky with the fashion I chose to buy, I also find that I am persuaded by very fashionable clothing which more or less, has my name on it. It is also my idiosyncrasy that I am very hands-on and inquisitive when it comes to fashion. For example, if I see something on someone that I like, chances are that I’ll consider adding it to the list of clothing in my mind.
How much male guys do you know that will walk up to people they chat to at nightclubs and ask them where they bought this or that. For example, when I was at Chevy’s I noticed Wade wearing a silver streamline necklace I’ve always wanted. Instead of being demure about the situation I thought to say “Hey, that’s a mad necklace, where’d you get it from”.
I have no shame when it comes to claiming fashion and I believe you become fashionable by being aware of what is going around. Once I know exactly what fashion I want I’ll recall it in memory and when next best serves for window shopping, I’ll go out and try it on. I always know when something’s going to suit me and I try the clothes on not to agree with my hunches but just to admonish the improbability.
There aren’t much guys out there who know how to shop and there are even less that are so frank and forward about exactly what they need. I’m just thankful that I have someone like Lyssa who is a person I most respect when it comes to decisions about fashion. Over time, I have come to trust Lyssa’s perception of what looks good on me and what doesn’t. Lyssa is very fashionable herself and is the only one I trust in being right next to me and giving me advice on whether to buy an item of clothing or not.
Lyssa The Fashion Critic
I rely heavily on Lyssa’s opinion when it comes to fashion as I feel she is least susceptible to make the wrong decision for me. Over time, I have learnt to trust Lyssa’s opinion on my clothing and basically, if she says something will look atrocious on me, then I won’t buy it. In addition Lyssa has helped me build upon this awareness of fashion and what works with me. I can make decisive decisions on my own but when it comes to the tick of approval, Lyssa is always the person I listen to.
For example, when I headed to Ettamogah Pub for the first time and I wasn’t too impressed with my hair, I didn’t trust how my friends kept saying it looked alright. Nevertheless, even though I was a touch uncomfortable, it took Lyssa’s opinion that night to tell me that my hair looked like girls hair for me to want to head home. Lyssa is such a good critic because she doesn’t hold back when it comes to fashion like many others do.
Instead of telling me everything is fine for the sake of keeping me happy, Lyssa tends to tell me the utter truth and that is what I need. That is why when I was trying on the glasses and then the contact lenses I was wondering what Lyssa would say. In the back of my mind I knew my picky tendencies and the final outcome would win Lyssa’s approval but it would have been good if I had her there for a second and strong opinion.
That’s why when I finally decide to buy my contact lenses, I’m going to have Lyssa there for the big decision in exactly what color I’m going to fork out over $300 for. Although I am independent and apt in my choices of fashion, let Lyssa’s stigma remain with my judicious discretion for the rest of my fashionable life.
