Lost in La-La Land

I was in my own little world today, la-la land, and even though I don’t have much examples of my absentmindedness to concede, I have but this one classic example. There has been absentmindedness scattered throughout my day including my being hurried in the morning which led me to forget my carry bag but none are more obvious than this. On the bus home today just a couple of minutes ago, I was disposed of conscious thought and thus, in la-la land.

I guess a bunch of thoughts created the oblivion to routine I was sensing, in a way that I had to wake myself up to routine again. There were a number of things on my mind upon jumping on the bus and in prior instances. Despite it being a cool night, I was uncomfortable in the clothes that had previously sweated during the day to the point that I couldn’t sleep properly on the train.

There was a girl whom I noticed sitting at the benches upon my jumping onto the bus and that distracted me somewhat. There was another equally good looking girl positioning herself one seat behind and across the isle from me. At one stage I checked her out with an awkward but casual glance back. Then there was my trying to relax on the bus after an exhausting day at work. Methinks I relaxed just a bit too much to allow myself to slip into a coma of oblivion.

Through the day I was also thinking thoughts of finally having the funds to get my memoir project on the road. Diskovery printing at the work gave me the motivation to think up some numbers, Jett’s supposed buying of a CD Re-Recorder inspired me more and my future laptop will complete the puzzle. In addition, I was thinking about this new month coming forth and how already the first day could be a great day to start off as Linh has invited me with the boys to the ‘Cave’ for our extended holiday.

So you see, there were plenty of things on my mind prior to my getting on my bus, causing me to overuse my mind into absentmindedness. Passing my usual stop, I poked my head out of the clouds and as quick as a flash, I pressed the button hoping the guy would stop. “Did you want to stop back there” he asked me and as I agreed thankfully I noted “Sorry mate, I’m in la-la land” and thus, that’s how I phrased the calling of my day.

The Cave and a New Month

Just as I have been noting, there are only three more days until the end of this month and as it hasn’t degraded itself much into a negative, the only downer would have been my extended stay at home last weekend. However, the addition of my staying over Lyssa’s house due to our sixth sense bond leads me to note that I had a reasonable weekend, despite my being lonely and depressed for a little.

I guess this weekend will be the trying tale to how I will receive the last days of my month. However the cards tend to fall, I know that if I accept Linh’s offer of my coming out with the boys that I’ve been to lunch with, the promise of a great new month and era in friendship will begin its evolving process.

Sure the ‘Cave’ probably won’t be packed out on Sunday because only the banks and Insurance agencies have a day off but just as well, it will be great to socialize with the friends I have made at work. At work today, as I looked on the computer calendar and noticed that Sunday was the first day of the month and a chance for a new beginning for that month, I said out loudly “Life is full of surprises, it works in mysterious but lovely ways”. There is no better truth than that phrase and fate, my true companion, she works my wonders well…

A Nasty Call From Lyssa

Much time has now lapsed and as the time is 9:00 p.m., I have few hours in which to write and again, a whole folk tale of information. Tonight, again, another important conversation with Lyssa was had, ever more spacing me from her, making me believe that we are so different. Lyssa actually called me at 8:00 p.m. where virtually for the last hour we have been conversing, knee deep in a deep and meaningful that turned nasty with the ugly head of truth. What started to get the ball rolling in favor of a detrimental end to this month was when Lyssa told me that she was going out this month.

This came after I asked Lyssa if she thought the ‘Cave’ would have been a good nightclub to attend so I guess that leads me to my next topic. Actually, my eyes are growing real tired now so I’ll just point form my night and write of it in later days. Lyssa has literally taken up my night of writing, making it congested chronology. There is so much to speak of and yet, with this one hour conversation and with the time now being 9:35 p.m. after another phone call from Lyssa, I am prolonged all the further.

Just quickly, while I was talking to Lyssa tonight on the phone, Keith came over around 8:45 p.m., bringing back my pillow that he’s had since our venture to Kangaroo Valley. Keith informed me that he could pick me up from work on Friday where we would head back home, the three of us in his car. Sounding like something I’d rather not encounter, I’ll try and avoid that situation when best the time breeds. In addition, the reason Lyssa decided to ring me tonight or her basis of our commencing conversation was because there was a full moon tonight.

What’s more, just as our sixth sense predicts, upon walking home from the bus tonight I looked at that full moon in differently, sensing the strange aura of what would happen with Lyssa later that night. Lyssa called because it was a quarter eclipse for the night and she was happy to note that the moon would turn red for an hour or two through the night. This is how our conversation began and that bond emerged but much more I’ll care to disown until a later date in life.

Where Does Constantine Work

Taking you all the way back now to Thursday night, coming back home from work, there are just two conversations I must note about. Firstly, the important conversation of Lyssa and I which lasted only five minutes now seems so distant and failing in comparison to the conversation I held with a haughty Lyssa tonight. Basically, in the short duration of our conversation, Lyssa told me how she was heading up to see Constantine at work with Naqi and Penelope, probably trying to spark up some envy.

The congestion of bitchiness and arrogance started to arise when I asked “Where does Constantine work” hoping to get the actual name of the store but only receiving “At Macarthur Square”. “Whereabouts in Macarthur Square” I questioned again as I only got another run around from Lyssa replying “She works in one of the restaurants up there”. Asking the same question for a third time Lyssa decided to go off at me screaming “Why are you asking me twenty questions” in which I replied “Because you’re not giving me a straight answer, you’re always running me around”.

“Why do you care anyway” she asked and as I was just about to give up on my query she advised me that Constantine worked at Harris Scarf’s Restaurant. “How suave” I thought, “Lyssa’s having the time of her life, just like her little psychic predicted”. As Lyssa also told me that she was helping Naqi go shopping, I thought it to be out of spite for our disagreeing words. This wouldn’t be too far from the truth as the both of us ended in a puff of words. “I’m going now” she stammered hanging up on what emotions didn’t really give a shit.

Imad Spills About Naqi

The second conversation of the night was with Imad in which I originally was calling him to see if he was ready to head to the Catholic Club. However, from the onset, Imad pledged that he was going out for the whole weekend with a buddy he knew from work who had just gotten out of jail. Imad’s friend had a boat in which they were going out, fishing for the majority of the weekend. The lesser news of our conversation in regards to gossip is that Imad is now seeing a girl called Giselle from work.

Basically, the both of them agreed that they’ll both be after sex, nothing more, nothing less. This was also the famous revealing conversation where Imad finally took out the skeleton’s in Naqi’s closet. Imad had some serious playa hating happening for Naqi and as he noted no one liked him anymore for the umpteenth time, he also noted a more serious demeanor to livelihood. Naqi lost my respect when I first heard he slept around on Penelope but as Imad told me that he’s done it numerous times since then, I sat back, agape and listening.

In basis, the whole cheating bonanza began with Imad’s birthday, where Martin shouted Imad to get fucked by a hooker. Times before this the three of them had gone into strip clubs and the lot but Naqi was never persuaded past looking. However, this time around, Naqi came with his own money and from what I heard, he cheated on Penelope by screwing some Asian. From that day forth Imad noted that Naqi has fucked at least three hookers, his last being a blonde that roused my suspicions candidly about his liking Lyssa.

I think it was in this conversation that Imad told me to have Lyssa watch out for Naqi slipping her some goey. Naqi keeps talking about how he wants to spike someone’s drink enough to get them off their head for a fuck. Imad seemed to think that he was collaborating a demise with Lyssa and as that stuck in my head loosely, I also tend to be cautious. Imad was showing some serious playa hating for Naqi as he uttered “That guy’s had it too good for too long” obviously feeling the bite of bringing him down.

However, as Naqi has cheated on Penelope, he’s gots to go down, just not by my touch. Before we ended our conversation I noted that I would see Imad some time this week or weekend and today should have been the day but I had more important things to do in these pages and again, am behind…
