Lyssa Changes Her Mind Again
With Lyssa, the beck of a whim is a change of heart and all of a sudden, passivity turns to negativity. At one stage of life I’ll start thinking in these pages that friendship with Lyssa is running without hitches but the little concoction could trigger it off. Two nights ago I was led to believe that my conversations with Lyssa were starting to mellow out where we didn’t find cause to harshly bicker over the phone which starts so suddenly from the smallest thing and ends up in the both of us hanging up.
In our conversations, I knew that breaking point was easy to achieve and even though Lyssa was being pleasant, you can hear the resiliency to being her bitchy self wearing very thin. Last night Lyssa and I had a conversation for five minutes and it ended so abruptly because Lyssa couldn’t tell me in what shop Constantine worked, deciding to say something a little different each time I asked and then finally getting frustrated, thinking I was asking her too many questions.
The reality was that the same question was repeatedly asked because Lyssa couldn’t understand my simple question or she was just trying not to reveal Constantine’s workplace. Last night, seeing Lyssa again at the Catholic Club and then Chevy’s, that hatred sprung up again and dead right, I could handle seeing Penelope alone but there was no favor to any leniency of hatred when I saw Naqi and Penelope with Lyssa last night.
All in all, there was just a stream of events which stopped me from having a good night and it all began when the plans fell apart because of people staying home or dogs coming along with us. Just what I needed, real company gone and company staying that will soon go anyway…
Sick As A Dog
Right now I’m as sick as a dog, the sickest dog you could possibly find. Not only did I still have it last night after one whole week of being sick but I also spread my conjunctivitis from one eye to the other, causing me to wake up half blind this morning. Still, after having a shower and placing some eye drops in to some effect, my left eye is now throbbing, feeling like sand is permanently wedged under the eyelid.
This cold also caused me to have a bad night apart from the bad planning and the overall direction of the night which started off on the wrong foot. Adding to my woes, last night I didn’t get to sleep until 4:15 a.m. and now, just over four hours later, I’m writing in these pages, hoping to deliver some justice to my condemned heart.
Wanting A Girlfriend More Than Clubs
Why am I kidding myself, or am I kidding myself in saying that. I’m inclined to say that the club life isn’t for me and after much experience, I shouldn’t put it down to one bad experience in last night. Nevertheless, I know that there is a part of my life missing that would completely take over the very thought of clubbing, the very need for a ladylove. I would trade my bag of goodies that lead me to clubs for a loving girlfriend, that’s all I want.
For over a year now, I’ve been alone and sadly, unable to find someone new. As a result, I’ve sought nightclubs for a good time but lately, I haven’t even been able to do that. Clubs aren’t a great place to pick up people for a relationship and relationships found there demean you in some way as I learnt last night. Nope, I’d rather feel comfortable and be settled down with the woman I love.
There is nothing better to me than being able to look at a woman and know as you look into her eyes, she’s yours and you love her. What’s more, I would feel much more complacent had I been at a club with my girlfriend as I know that if I really loved her, no other girl would enter my scope. Seriously, looking at hot girls is starting to get old as I know it’s just a perve and I get frustrated when I can never create anything more.
I hate being alone but somehow I’ve endured it for such a long time and survived. However, I shouldn’t be discouraged from clubs because of my lousy night. Rather, I should be optimistic that tonight can only get better from what I thought was close to bottom in the scale of not enjoying myself fully. As the lore of my night last night is more important than idle conversations of work, let me begin with the parable and hope we end up to a pleasing conclusion some pages later.
Keith Dogs It Again
The night began for me after my last diary entry which would have been around 8:30 p.m. As you would know, already there were two people who dropped out of the night, those being Nero and Shawn. The reason Shawn dropped out was because Keith was heading to Chevy’s and I figure there was some truth to his bias but considering Keith danced a storm for the good part of two minutes, there was no real harm.
Keith dogged it hard again for the night as he told me he would bring over a CD for me to listen to and half an hour he rang me up and told me he was still at Tamsen’s house and wouldn’t be able to make it. From that, my desire to get pumped up had plummeted to my expectations of Keith and he didn’t fail to disappoint throughout the night.
When 9:00 p.m. arrived I was still getting myself ready for the night and watching the brilliant game against Brisbane Broncos and St. Imad Illawarra. In the end, Broncos ended up slaughtering them by a margin of 18 points as St. Imad never looked like getting up. It was a great game for what I did see of it, shame I had to head down to the Catholic Club to miss out.
Brylcreem Panic Before The Club
With Tyler knocking on my bedroom door, I let him in and had him wait around impatiently for a couple of minutes. Having had a shower half an hour before Tyler arrived, my hair hadn’t dried properly yet and having to rush it by dabbing Brylcreem in there made me realize that my night was still on a progressive decline. Combing my hair back, I knew that it looked shit as I tried flicking it back.
Even Tyler was sitting there with a little smirk on his face, giving me the time of day to fix it up before he started his impatience. Binh was waiting in Tyler’s car which didn’t bother me but the fact that Keith also dogged Binh was beyond ridiculous. Simply put, because Keith was with Tamsen and because he’s pussy-whipped, when Binh called Keith to go out for the night, he decided his car wouldn’t be worthy for Binh and therefore decided to dump his worries onto Tyler, someone he had previously dogged.
Despite that charge or nerve, I fixed my hair as best I could and having my new pants and jacket shirt, I wore my brown shirt from Hound Dog and the space boots from Sketchers. My hair looked shit being brushed back and holding firmly but as I took a comb with me I jumped into Tyler’s car knowing we were headed to his house so he could get changed.
The first place that we sought to stop was Ned’s house as Binh had to drop off something but from there, my sick and able body sat in the back seat as we arrived at Tyler’s house. Heading into his room and not having to tip-toe, I tried fixing up my hair as best I could whilst he put on a microfiber jacket that looked sort of like leather. In addition, he chucked on some pinstripe pants that Ace got for him ages ago, they looked good.
While Tyler was changing, I made my way to his bathroom so I could try and water down the Brylcreem in my hair so that it would at least look half decent. I knew that my hair wouldn’t sit right for the night because I was rushed out of the house but I wanted a touch of decency so I wouldn’t keep thinking “Oh, I look like shit”. Tyler waited a couple of minutes as I flicked out the wetness in my hair and when it was getting fair we decided to leave for the Catholic Club.
Parking the car right at the rear, I made jest of the fact that Tyler didn’t have a rear vision mirror in his beat up car. Regardless, we jumped into the freezing cold even though I had a jacket on and as we walked down towards the entrance I kept noting how my hair looked like shit. The bad vibes were prevalent at such a short notice of night, it could only get worse.
