Crowded Train Home

With work complete I headed to the train station and then caught a train to Central. Jumping on my express train home I had to make my way to the second carriage and then find myself seated between a middle aged woman and an old man who looked remarkably fit and agile for his age. As an old man and boisterous old lady walked in the aged guy next to me started laughing at the capers the lady was pulling.

“Do you mind if my husband sits here, he’s got a bad heart and he needs to sit himself down because he’s weak” she announced as mostly everyone heard on the train. She wasn’t obnoxious or rude but she had an accent and she was the type of 45 year old woman who was unintentionally loud and spoke loud probably because she was hard of hearing.

With the hard at heart sitting behind our seat the man sitting next to me decided to have a laugh at his expense. “God, by the way he was puffing you’d think he’d be on his way” and as I had a little laugh along he added “I hope we don’t have another fatality on this train”. The lady woke me up from my short slumber and as I was already intrigued by the sturdy appearance of the deceiving old man next to me, I thought to chat a little, open an entry for conversation.

A Handshake With Xavier

My conversation with the man next to me grew some legs as he asked if I was studying law in the City. Advising him that I was working for HIH he seemed to recognize the name almost instantly. This older man looked in the know-how and he looked as if he could pull some strings. To me, it felt like I was sitting next to someone important, deciding to humble his credentials. He told me how him and his wife used to own their own company as he told me how easy it was to set up a business.

As I mentioned how I was working with Frank (A small business) he also casually uttered that he used to work for Optus and now he’s traveling to distant locations around Australia as an engineer. Deciding it was my turn to spill some wealthy knowledge of my background I mentioned where I lived and the rest of it. Because his son worked as a lawyer and he thought I was studying I mentioned that I wanted to study a Graphic Design course and as he was surprised at my creativity I also mentioned that I was a poet.

This indeed did surprise him as all these facets of my creativity combined with my working in a legal department struck him with awe. He must have been impressed by my ability to juggle so much hobbies but he didn’t hear the half of it, including my memoirs as one of the most important legs of my life.

Near the end of our candid conversation I sought to ask his name. “Xavier” he muttered as the train was coming to a halt at Campbelltown and as soon as I heard his name I was more hooked on the thought that he was highborn. Xavier is such a noble name and when I think of that name I think of some knight that has been dubbed by the Queen of England or one of the heirs to her throne.

The air about him was highly stirred and by looking at him you would remember his face, as I would probably have the same effect. Then handshake won’t be too hard to forget as he gripped it intensely but as a true gentleman, the handshake’s grip is most important. Tightening my grip upon his I snuck myself out past the sleeping women on the end of our seat.

Her legs were in the way and she wouldn’t wake up so I had to do my best to get through, lifting my legs here and pushing her legs there. Finally she submitted in her sleepy daze as I headed out of the train at Campbelltown. Passing his window I raised my hand and saluted him in a farewelling gesture and as his lips showed a memorable smile I was off to catch my bus.

Keith Picks Chevy’s Again

Heading back home I spared myself little time before heading to the Gym. However, I did receive a call from Tyler who told me that he wanted a deposit for skirmish and being ill prepared I planned to have it delivered to him by tomorrow. My plan is to take out some money from my Credit Card which will almost fully deplete it. Yes, I am doing poorly with paying my Credit Card back but be sure that by the end of this year I will have at least paid half of it off.

In my conversation with Tyler I asked him if he wanted to head to the City as you probably already know. Basically he wasn’t too sure but as he decided to give Ace a call I told him to pass on the message. Nevertheless, Tyler informed me that the plans for this weekend were to head to the Catholic Club on Friday and head to Chevy’s on Saturday night. Keith still is the undisputed voice of the weekend and I’m beginning to malign his monotonous planning.

Seriously, once Keith finds a groove that works he sticks with it like a bad cliché and as all good things come to those who wait, I wait for his Chevy’s faze to be disowned. Easy as it is to ascertain Keith’s monotonous personality and behavior, it’s harder to figure how everyone now listens to him. How in the world has Keith become the leader of a broken group. I guess back in my heyday the outings were predictable but our evenings were never mundane events.

Last Workout of June

Right now it is time to write about my Gym routine in which I headed there at 7:30 p.m. and came back home at 8:30 p.m. For this last hour I’ve been watching the Footy show as planned and these have been the hours of my final accomplishment for the month. Before I begin, let me just note that the hot looking girl who is always working out on Wednesday nights was there again tonight.

The one who wears her hair back in a bun, brown with a slight red and she isn’t too attractive but she has a great body and skin. This is the girl who told me she wanted to watch as I worked on the Machine Seated Bench Press and she was looking just as scrumptious as when last I saw her. Anyway, here is my last workout for the month, hope you enjoy.

Chest: Beginning with two warm-ups I commenced my first semi-heavy set with 140 pounds on Bench Press. Lifting the weight for 10 reps I paused, done an extra couple then took down the weight to 120 pounds, completed 5 more reps and dropped weight some more to completely exhaust my muscles. Counting that as two sets I moved to Decline Dumbbell Press and although I had 50 pounds only I strained for 7 reps. Moving to Incline Dumbbell Press I found it to be more controlled on each slide as I completed 8 reps.

Machine Seated Bench Press was next and starting with 160 pounds I had enough in me to complete 6 reps. Taking the weight down as before to 140 pounds and then straight down to 100 pounds I achieved a further 15 reps. Peck Deck Fly’s was next on the agenda as I pushed 120 pounds for 10 reps. Taking the weight down to 110 pounds I pushed out a further 15 reps with a pause. Pullovers was next with 60 pounds, just managing to complete 12 slow reps before failure. My last set for Chest was on Bent Over Crossovers and with 60 pounds either side I just managed 10 reps.

Back: Having trained the Trapezius for two sets I gather it deserves some sort of mention. My first set was with 55 pounders on Shoulder Shrug and with that I completed 20 reps. Moving to Upright Rows much later in my back workout I completed 10 reps with 60 pounds. For my real back exercises, I began with Neutral Grip Pulldowns for 12 reps with 120 pounds.

Moving to Close Grip Lat Pulldowns I concentrated on the crunch of my shoulder blades best I could as I used 120 pounds for 12 reps. My last widening exercise was with Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns using 100 pounds for a relatively easy 12 reps. One Arm Dumbbell Rows was the only broadening exercise as I completed 12 reps with a now easy 60 pounds per arm.

Biceps: Opting for a little bit of a change I warmed up with 30 pounds on Preacher Cable Curls and then moved to Preacher Dumbbell Curls with 30 pounds for 12 reps. Once I had saturated my Biceps with blood I moved to Alternate Hammer Dumbbell Curls and with the same weight I created 15 hard reps. Reverse Cable Curls also received a lashing as I used 35 pounds for 12 reps.

Abdominals: Being the last segment of my workout I started with 40 pounds on Machine Ab Crunches and slowly worked my way into 35 reps. With the same weight, for the second set I created a further 30 reps and for my third and final set I increased the weight to 50 pounds to finish off with 25 reps.

Songs in My Head

That my friends is the end of my workout and pretty much the end of my chronology for this Thursday night. Let me now conclude with a thought that has accrued within my amassed serve of thought within hither. Every once in a blue moon when I am alone and thinking upon my accomplishments I remember all the songs I had created. Recalling their exact lyrical tunes to perfection I keep singing ‘Stairway To Heaven’, knowing that it has the strength to become a greatly published song.

Each time I sing this song I keep rekindling my dream of publishing my lyrics and for a stage in my life I was on the track to that very success but alas, it was spurred on partly by the lost years. Nevertheless, lately I have thought just to throw together a couple of people just for kicks. Someone that can convert my sung lyrics to a piano accompaniment and people who can bring the harmony to life with their voices.

If this can be accomplished it would make me proud even only to publish my song on the internet, at least where anyone can peruse. If I can have one person say “Man, that’s a pretty good song”, I would have accomplished something in the lore of musical success. However, I feel that dream has come and gone, lived and dispersed but never died. That is the reason I keep singing my beloved tunes in my head, hopeful that one day my mind will finally click and I will make something happen for my creative countenance.

Parting Thoughts

Tonight I do sleep late again and with a bit of futuristic magical tricks to these late paragraphs. The time I sleep again tonight will be around 11:30 p.m. so don’t be disparaged, you will see me on the other side. Again, this month has been a blessing, not a struggle. It has been a continual progression and a chance to uncover what is under those illusive rocks of future preservation.

Just a parting thought now… As per someone hinting the amorously obvious, I have found comical amusement from the line “Your lines fall like bricks”. Now if only someone was as lame as to suggest “Do you like inserting yourself into tight situations” I would probably be tempted to use that line but then again, I would probably be tempted to answer her query with action…
