Heading Home On The Train

Explanation in the short history of Monday’s chronology is sparing upon the second half of the day. There was not much action that these erstwhile pages haven’t already explained upon their cliché moments. Therefore, with the day adjourned of further notation, I bring us a canter to the station with Najla, my anticipation upon seeing the girl with the original red polo neck sweater and what begs to be spoken about my expedition upon the train.

Disappointed in not having seen my main red attraction, I started to count my lucky stars when after finding myself a window seat alone, a girl with lovely tanned legs and a short work skirt sat on the same bench. What made me more intrigued was how she decided to move over and take up the middle seat when some other guy asked if he could sit on our three seater. Grabbing my attention furthermore, it would be hard to forget her wearing a lime green to a yellow woolen mini skirt that upon her sitting down, she had to pluck it down with her hands as not to reveal too much, yummy.

Looking delicious as well as sophisticated with her black waistcoat on, I think she read or listened to music for most of the way home. Uncertain on her background, I do remember a touch of beef in her long legs, the beautiful tan without stockings and what was soon to be an obsession to see her boobs hidden behind her jacket top. Feeling it would be too obvious and rude to keep reverting my eyes to her cleavage, even when she looked to be sleeping I only glanced once or twice but to no immediate satisfaction.

What aroused me slightly was the fact that she chose to sit next to me and then planted her feet against mine and her hands closely tucked upon my sides as if an inadvertent ploy. However, the mood and pleasures of that favorable glance were ruined when she moved when a spot by herself became available. Confused on why she had decided to create such seemingly futile moves, I figured the whole ploy was just all in my head with some discrepancies to fictional value.

Ringing Round For Rock Climbing

Skipping the act of the already explained Tuesday and after a half an hour break chatting to everyone who is heading out to rock climbing tonight, I am almost ready to begin upon Wednesday. Just a quick note, ringing Imad around 3:30 p.m. and being the first he noted that he would be coming over my house in the next half an hour to which I should be expecting him any minute. However, Imad with time always seems to be lacking so I figure I have some time on my hands.

Imad seemed to be at his dad’s house tending the crazy Naqi and the wacky world of his family. Above all the commotion in the background and hearing Naqi whisper “Whose that” I quickly renewed plans before he had to hang up the phone. Tyler was the next on my list to call and as Nero was the third and the one who built the most of my little insecurity, I unraveled a pattern.

I figure that I called the people that I was most comfortable talking with and seeming I’ve known Imad forever, I didn’t create anxiety thinking of what we would talk about. Tyler being next and knowing him for a fair while now as we’ve worked ourselves into a friendship groove, I found him to be shopping around for a car on Blaxland road which surprised me at his promptness. Having $10,000 to spend on a brand new car, Tyler was looking at a Celica 90 which was white in color and had a sunroof.

“You’re only thinking of spending five thousand dollars aren’t you” I queried as he noted “If I find a car that I like, I’ll buy it”. The conversation with Nero will probably be better explained with Saturday’s chronology behind me and therefore, I shall leave that depiction to another day. In parting to the happenings of today and having been to the Gym, we’re meeting at 5:00 p.m. and the plans are still on for rock climbing.

Still Keen To Get Up

Wednesday morning seemed to be the degradation, sandwiched firmly in the middle of the week. Still, three months into work I’m not thinking on the same lines of my last two jobs where I started to get frustrated with lack of work and boredom thinking “Maybe I’ll just stay home today instead of going to work” each morning upon hearing the alarm ringing. To this day there are no regrets on working at HIH and I’m still eager to get out of bed, head down to work at such an early time in the morning and give them a menial day of my efforts.

Wednesday morning I actually woke up at 6:20 a.m., hearing my mum crashing down the stairs in the bid to wake me up. Mum sets her alarm twenty minutes after mine goes off and each morning she comes tumbling down those stairs half asleep to see if I’d woken up yet. Wednesday it had started to come to the point of irritation as she knocked on my bedroom door and I yelled out “I’m awake” in my inherited language.

Seemingly late, I took the time to have a decent shower, brush my teeth, have something to eat, dress appropriately and then have a shave before stepping out the door. Catching the late bus and the late train to work as was the usual case this prior week, I slept for most of the trip to work, holding the window seat as usual. That girl of intrigue with the mole ended up being urged to sit downstairs with one of her friends so disheartened, I had all the more reason to sleep.

Najla Sets The Mood

As choleric as Najla tends to get over the phone with her family, my moods seem as fickle as her choices upon the day to work slackly or dependently. My day is judged mostly by how Najla handles herself at work and if she procrastinates, whinges and lingers on, then I’m obviously going to get tainted and inhabited with an indescribable animus, leaving that ever so bitter taste on my tongue. Not only was it Najla who made my day seem unbearable but the antics of Jana combined made it a misery worth the abolishment.

The day was indeed fickle for everyone, with moods clashing and differences combining to make it an aggravation and at times, a blessing away from such. For starters, the true crunch in my discrepancy against Najla’s laziness came around lunchtime. Being the first to head out for lunch I left some mail that the mail guy had brought up, hoping that Najla would open it without my asking. Leaving for lunch I also took a glance around our working area and all the files in the boxes waiting to be put away, just knowing deep down inside that nothing would have changed.

When coming back from lunch at 1:00 p.m., I wasn’t surprised upon seeing exactly the same scene as I had left, save for a file spread out all over our table and all that little paper having fallen out of the hole puncher. Having already left for lunch despite my coming back a touch early, I had to clean up our area considerably before I could even succumb the intense stress given by her annoying tardiness.

Najla is the only one who has had the bottom of the hole puncher come loose on occasions which spreads the round little pieces of paper all over the place. However, what’s more annoying than witnessing this is having to clean up after her. As for the unopened mail, yep, it still lay unopened and guess who had to rectify that shit. Considering it was already 1:00 p.m. and usually we got the mail out around noon, I quickly opened the mail and distributed it around to the senior secretaries.

Jana Wants A File

Not only was Najla an instigator of irritation but Jana also had the aptitude for evil. In her usual way, Jana headed over to our section looking for a particular file. In usual cases, Jana would ask us if we had seen it without looking first and most times, it’s usually in the filing. Searching since the start of the week, it finally came to the point where she looked through the closed files after I couldn’t find it on the computer’s closed file list.

Jana’s attitude of forwardness and brash naïveté was just irritating and as I am to blame for her finding the file amongst the ‘to be closed’ files, her complacency was menacing. What really irked me later in the day to which I paid no heed to their naked eyes is when Jana came back and without proper explanation shoved some papers in my face. “Can you place this in closed files” she asked as I wasn’t sure whether she meant the actual closed file or the folder where files had already been closed to which we store away the loose bits of paper that never made it.

“I’ve confused you haven’t I” she smiled to which we finally worked out where exactly she wanted the file placed. “What, where did you think I wanted it” she asked as I tried getting canny with my words to which I did in sarcasm say “Oh,, thought you meant the closed files closed files”. Confusing Jana, she walked away throwing her hand backwards as if to say “Whatever” but what words did leave her mouth were “Najla, how can you put up with him”.

David And Jana Clash

This, a constant reminder that Jana seems to think I’m as cuckoo as David yet, I seem only to irritate her as much as I do at work. Jana has one of those tenaciously choleric qualities that sees her switch moods with easy irritation. Jana also seems to be the only one at work who I mock with fumbling words and where everyone else has a laugh, she whinges and walks off.

Speaking of David and having not shed much words of him due to his always being locked up in his dismal room, I feel that David is as fickle in mood as he is with changing his underwear. David is usually zany and a touch cuckoo in the head but he’s good to be around. I’ve found that when David is in a bad mood to which he tends to lock himself up in his room, Jana is also affected and has a shit day.

With that, Jana brings it onto everyone else because she wants everyone to see just how upset she is, seeking sympathy. David however who is moderately happy never sheds his woeful days upon me or Najla because we are so far down the rungs and so far out of his way that we never feel the flack. However, as Jana is the supervisor and deals with David directly, she cops shit from him, she gets depressed and probably has those feelings of quitting like I immediately felt upon her today.

We all get those days and to me, they only really come when Jana is bringing our worlds down with hers or Najla is just plain old lazy. Nevertheless, in a million moons, I never think about quitting my job, those days came in the weaning process when starting work, those first few days of uncertainty and insecurity…
