Lyssa Cheerful on the Phone
Giving Lyssa a call back she seemed happy for some reason and it was funny and eerie some of the things that happened. Lyssa and I were more talkative unlike our usual conversations as she told me how boring her day was at work and what time she got home.
However, in our mad cap action Lyssa’s phone rang and then hung up so she thought to check who called. With that I regretfully let Lyssa go as she told me she would only be five minutes but after ten minutes I gave her a call. I wasn’t angry at all, rather I wanted to have a shower and with that I guess Lyssa talked for longer.
Waiting Out a Television Show
Upon having my shower for the night and reading my FHM I waited for Lyssa’s call but noticing that ‘Felicity’ was on television I gathered Lyssa would wait until after the show. And for that I was right, Lyssa called me a couple of minutes after her show finished. Lyssa and I started speaking about her heading to Penrith Panthers this weekend for Ali’s birthday where they will be renting a room.
Rather, Lyssa informed me that it was like a mini house having plenty of rooms and plenty of space, all for $140. Asking Lyssa if it topped the hotels that I had taken her to including the Novotel for our twelve month anniversary Lyssa was rather brazen with her response saying that it was far better than anything she had been to. That did brandish my self esteem giving me a blow to the ego and annihilating my thoughts upon respectful taste.
Dinner Plans and Making Amends
Lyssa asked me what I was doing for my birthday and informing her that I might visit a nightclub she told me she will take me out to dinner and it is my choice where we go. Only knowing two real places that we can head that are restaurants being Chili’s and Lonestar I implored Lyssa to choose.
Regretting her actions that caused me to get angry when Lyssa last slept over my house Lyssa wanted to make it up to me and sounded genuine in her plight. Lyssa wants to come over this Friday night before she heads off to Penrith Panthers to make amends of the wrongful stress she gave me in her sleep, so be it.
Pitch Games on the Phone
Starting to sing a song of reasonably high pitch Lyssa tried to join in. It puzzled me how I was doing the higher voice and Lyssa was filling in an octave or two lower. With that I said “You’re the girl, you should naturally be doing the higher voice” blaming it on Lyssa’s deep and husky voice. For the next couple of minutes I sung words sarcastically to Lyssa like “Listen to me, I’m singing” and bid her to sing them back to her mum.
It surprised me that Lyssa enchanted the hallways of her house with her loud husky opera voice that began to crack with even the slightest increase of pitch. This fun kept working for the both of us as Lyssa sang things like “Mum, I’m singing” and other sarcastic opera orientated comments. Lyssa’s mum wasn’t trying to pay attention to Lyssa and I thought it was a crack up as Lyssa tends to be more modest and humble when silly things are at play.
Playing another game with Lyssa I kept going up in pitch note by note and I had Lyssa try and match the pitch I was at. It was funny at times as Lyssa would just sing the same pitch she had before simply because she couldn’t get any higher, you just had to be there. Understand the humor in my voice being without a glitch so high in pitch and Lyssa’s voice cracking intensely under the pressure of her tonsils, it was hilarious.
Sleep Talking on Tape
In all our fun I also decided to show the two recordings I had done of Lyssa when she last slept over and once again she baffled me as she said “Can you tape me when I sleep over next, I want to hear what I say in my sleep.” Lyssa tried to put the voice on she does in her sleep but she couldn’t even get close to her sleeping voice. Lyssa sounds more babyish when asleep as opposed to her boisterous attitude when she is attentive.
Alas, Lyssa had to get to sleep for her next day at work and as the time came up to 10:15 p.m. Lyssa said goodnight to me and was on her way back to sleep for her second day working in the year. Myself, I played some more of the game on my computer until I finished it just a couple of minutes from midnight and that’s when I started this. Well, the time is now 1:38 a.m. and after having typed in here for a while now, having had something to eat and watching some television to give my fingers a break I think it’s time to head off.
Tomorrow I have no plans but I think I should head to Campbelltown to hand in my money to pay the phone and then I should head to Centrelink to look for a job or ring up Franklins to ask them if they have any jobs going.
