Lyssa Rings Out Of The Blue
What a great day it was today, full of drama in a full day with my first real chance to be independent and competent at my job. I think Najla and I both passed with flying colors. The whole day was full of briefs, brief updates and my running around to do urgent errands for Shayma all accomplished on time. However, plenty of time looms to speak of my day’s events so why not start on my Sunday from where we took our break, arriving at the mall.
Just a quick news-flash. As weird as this seems, Lyssa called me tonight around 7:30 p.m. to speak with me but that’s not the weird part. The conversation started with her saying hello and for some reason, as soon as I heard the phone ringing I somehow knew it would be her. Grunting my hello, a dazzle of thoughts brooded in my head eager to spite the conversation with detesting words but somehow, it just didn’t come out as aggressive as I had wanted it.
Call it my inner sanctimony of mercy but all I ended up saying was hello in that detesting voice, and then when Lyssa asked what was wrong, my utterings were of how unappreciated her treatment of me was when last we talked. I knew her so well however and knew how she would be on the defensive, trying her best to protest but ironically, curbing her usual full-of-fits anger to nothing at all.
She was deviously smart knowing that she would have to let me get my pent up anger off my chest before she was allowed to feel even remotely inherent. As she listened, I told Lyssa how I didn’t appreciate her making me run around, her abusing my friendship and basically everything else that would have been written down regarding the matter, but it felt good to finally get it off my chest, all at once, as Lyssa would have expected.
She tried arguing that she never told me it was my fault for her not being able to bring the keycard, which frustrated me all the more (despite my being calm) so that lasted for a couple more minutes. Finally I asked Lyssa what the reason was for her call and she mentioned she needed to ask me a favor, how ironic. “Great, you run me around in a circle and now you want to ask me a favor,”
I remarked cynically. “You don’t have to do it if you don’t want” she stammered and then changing her mind she added, “No, I’m not going to even ask you because I know you’ll probably say no.” That sounded fine to me as our conversation basically ended there. As the phones hung up, my hunch was that Lyssa would be calling me back later in the night, and it wasn’t wrong.
A Favor After All
Having myself a shower just ten minutes ago, I was wiping myself off after using some body gel when I heard the phone ring again. Running to my room I knew it could only be one person ringing for the second time in the night and was hardly mistaken. Shun this weak heart from sinful fastidious actions for one day it will be my undoing of deeds that this other head of mine ponders upon.
The first words that Lyssa uttered in our second conversation was “I’m going to ask you my favor anyway” and still dripping wet and with the door open, she was asked to wait, dropping the phone to close the door, robe myself in the towel and then pick back up the receiver to hear what she had to say. I was pretty sure it would be something like lending her money or stupider things like taping her ‘Dawson’s Creek’ but it came as a shock when Lyssa asked me to help out by staying over for the night.
It took me back by surprise a little bit but my almost instantaneous reaction was to say no and cast-off the whole idea. I knew exactly what was behind Lyssa’s bid to have me over her house. Her emotions were obviously playing a part and she probably wanted to have me there because she was missing a certain aspect of having someone. Despite my instant male reaction under a squeamish towel, I consistently resisted, even when Lyssa mentioned part of the truth behind her agenda.
The reason Lyssa wanted me to sleep for the night was because her grandmother was in hospital and her mum was out there visiting. Lyssa told me that she tried calling other people but she said to me that she needed a male but not exactly in those words. After moralizing that it was wrong for me to head over her house, she mentioned that I could sleep in the spare room if I wanted to, which sent signals flaring that she wanted something to go down because obviously, she was intent on having me sleep in her bed.
To Stay Or Not
Damn my little man for he is still at shaft-point when even thinking about it and will be the strongly inclined reason that will have me sleep at Lyssa’s house tonight. I know it would be best to just stay away as far as possible because she is a bitch out to fulfill her own agenda but this invitation is almost too inviting. The thought of her giving me a little surprise through the night has persevered in my mind and now it seems, with the lecherous provocations, there is no stronger alternative than but to head to her house.
Her subconscious invitation to my little man has led me fall under her pray probably for another regrettable night. Although our conversation is now over and Lyssa is thinking that she will be staying home alone, I believe that she will try and call one more time before the night is over. If this doesn’t happen then I guess I’ll cave-in and call Lyssa to accept her offer. Therefore, as the time is now 9:10 p.m. I shall call her in a quarter of an hour if she hasn’t done so already, giving me time to prepare my belongings for tomorrow as well as time in this diary.
Oh, the twists and turns that come out of these normal days, and should it be blamed on my lack of a faith charm. Could my fate be dramatically altered to a disastrous conclusion because of a regrettable mistake that I may make tonight. Lets not think with the lap nor the heart, but with common sense, which preaches me must stay home, and that I do not…
Cold Train To The City
To quickly speak now of my day since it is hardly likely there will be another chance, let me begin. This morning had me wake up at 6:20 a.m., and not hearing my alarm, I was lucky to open my eyes half-awake otherwise I would have been very late for work. The alarm didn’t ring and when noticing the time, I threw myself straight out of bed for the shower. On Monday night I didn’t get to sleep until a bit before midnight giving me just over six hours but they were good hours.
When all was done and I was prepared, I stepped out into the freezing chill and awaited my bus for the next couple of minutes, arriving at the station to board my next train all the way to the City. Kalinda was on my same train and carriage but it seemed as if she didn’t want to talk. I don’t think she even noticed me when walking past, so trying to get some rest by laying my head to the window, the rest of my trip was irritated by a cold breeze flowing into the carriage and blowing light zephyrs across my hair.
It was enough to make me feel squeamishly sick, forcing me to lean forward to try to sleep like that but unfortunately the head freeze eventually got to me, coercing me to stand up and make my way to the doors to crouch down and recuperate. Feeling a little better I found a seat nearby and sat myself down for the rest of the trip, at ease, comfortable and feeling a lot better.
There was a girl that I noticed who was a great looker with a gorgeously defined face and chiseled but round features. She was a stunner to watch all the way to the City as she jumped off at Museum Station, leaving me to dwell on her alone before jumping off at Wynyard, and that was me.
