Revenge on the Cockroach

The peril has been thwarted once again, the death of yet another critter that walks among us unnoticed has been tallied, the cockroach is no more. This time around it has not been by the flush of a toilet or the capture of a toilet roll but by the magnitude of power behind the mat that rests to the entrance of my room.

Yes, seeing the little critter I picked up my mat and with deadly force squashed the bastard more than a couple of times spreading his guts and innards and making him stick to the hard floor. Another to the death count but still his cousin is patiently waiting upstairs for his fate, up in the kitchen where he treads upon our food.

Lyssa Bored at Reception

Today is the fourth day of the new year and although nothing important has happened for me today Lyssa went back to work. In fact, Lyssa rang me today to wake me up at 1:30 p.m. it was her lunch break. Being bored as there were only 12 people at work instead of the usual she was also frustrated. Lyssa had been on Reception for the whole day where she only received three calls to date and on top of that, her day wasn’t over until 5:30 p.m.

Having already had lunch with Penelope she was contemplating on having an earlier day. Instead of heading home at her usual set time Lyssa was going to sneak out at 5:00 p.m. and that she did. Lyssa got home fairly quick from work and receiving a lift from Ali when she got back to Campbelltown she arrived home at 6:00 p.m. Gathering that Lyssa left at 5:00 p.m. so she could catch a train home with Penelope that would explain Ali being there to give her a lift.

Gym Passes and Plans

Lyssa and I finished our conversation after twenty minutes and saying goodbye to each other I informed Lyssa that I would be heading to the Gym soon. Having myself a shower first I had something to eat and then called up Commonwealth Bank to find that my money had come in. Grabbing myself a towel and putting on my Gym clothes I headed down for my workout en route Bradbury shops. Taking out my money I also glanced at the new copy of FHM which I later came back for after my workout.

Before I speak of my workout let me just note that Olympus Gym doesn’t have ‘Day Passes’ so that means I would have to pay extra if I wanted to do a double split workout in one day. For that reason my ambition can’t come true unless I pay that extra money. Coming to a conclusion I regard buying a weekly pass once a fortnight will more than be enough. Then I can work out to my heart’s content and I think I would probably up the intensity to four days and one small double split. Now let me include my days workout blueprint.

Chest Day After the Tear

Chest: My two minute warm-up on the bike, you know the drill. Today I thought to take more of a ballistic approach to training spreading out most of my exercises. Beginning with Incline Dumbbell Fly’s with 30 pound dumbbells I produced 12 reps. Taking the weight up to 50 pounds per hand I struggled somewhat to complete another 12 reps. Deciding to try a heavy set of Dumbbell Bench Press for the first time after my pec tear I managed 10 reps.

However, my right pec felt a bit awkward and the best explanation would be to say that I felt a tiny bit ticklish in the right pec lifting the weight. Moving to Peck Deck Fly’s I moved the weight up to 160 pounds and just managed to complete 10 reps. Taking down the weight to 150 pounds I once again had a hard time completing 10 reps.

Moving to Cable Crossovers with 50 pounds per hand I performed 12 reps. Taking down the weight to 40 pounds I managed another 12 reps. Moving now to another exercise that I shouldn’t have thought of doing, Machine Bench Press. The weight was originally set at 140 pounds but feeling a tad light I increased the weight to 160 pounds to complete 10 reps. Lastly I jumped onto assisted dips and with 40 pounds assistance I completed 10 reps.

Arms and Abs to Finish

Biceps: Deciding to change my routine somewhat again I began with Reverse Grip Cable Curls with 40 pounds and 10 reps. When that was done I warmed up on Standing Alternate Dumbbell Curls with 20 pounders. Moving up to 35 pound dumbbells I managed 11 reps per arm, that’s pretty good. Moving to Dumbbell Preacher Curls with 30 pounds I performed 12 grinding reps. My last set was with Standing Cable Curls and performing 7 reps with 65 pounds I dropped weight to 50 pounds to perform 6 more reps.

Abdominals: Fairly simple this time around. Starting with Machine Ab Crunches and 30 pounds resistance I performed 30 reps where half were side to side for my obliques. The next two sets were of 40 pounds and 30 reps were performed each. My last set however I grew too tired and had to complete it with a break.

Jett Asks About Min-Su

After my workout I had my usual large meal and then I sat down having fun with my computer. An hour after getting home where the time was now 7:30 p.m. Jett gave me a call from Macarthur Square. Jett rang me up to invite me to watch ‘Rush Hour’ with Janice Chan and Chris Tucker next Tuesday as he would shout me in. The real importance of Jett’s call I believe was to find out what conversation Min-Su had with me when he left my house.

It seems that she said to Jett “Ask Tony what we talked, I poured out my heart to him.” Well, as much as I didn’t want to get involved in their dispute I tried hard not to remember the events and in actuality I couldn’t remember. All I could muster up for Jett was that Min-Su was upset how they never get to see each other. In the middle of our conversation Lyssa rang on call waiting and seeming in a cheerful mood she asked me to call her back when I got off the phone. Getting back to Jett he had to go anyway.
