Later I tried calling Tatton and he told me that Shawn was at Ingleburn Pizza Hut, probably talking to Simon. From what I had heard Shawn dyed his hair blue, yep blue like the soccer players and league boys in basketball. That is a bit of a change but when I did get the chance to see it tonight it kind of suited him, nothing unordinary. Shawn was at Pizza Hut showing his hair off to the girls there and later in the night he told me that he could have had two girls from Pizza Hut plus Tessa at his house for a party. Nevertheless, we ended up going to the City and having a good time anyway. Tatton told me he would call me back when Shawn gets home because he was the planner of the day. The phone lines were all hysterically ringing, begging for information and while all this planning was happening I gave Lyssa a call around 7:00 p.m.
Upon calling Lyssa I was treated with an animosity of another cause directed towards me because I was there. Lyssa was angry for some reason and I thought she was being bitchy because of something she found out about me. To be honest, I thought Lyssa found out that I had got onto Phoenix and was being sinister. Rather, Lyssa was just angry for some other reason that she cared not to share. Lyssa just gave me the clue that she hates everyone, what could that have meant. Because Lyssa was pissed off for an unknown reason she wanted to jump off the phone and told me that she would give me a call back later in the night. For some reason I knew that Lyssa wasn’t going to be calling me back in the night and I was pretty much right. Neither did I ask Lyssa what she was doing for the night but later I found that she was going out with Penelope to the Catholic Club but she wasn’t sure whether Penelope would want to go out.
In that space of time Tatton gave me a call back and told me the news. From what I knew Shawn was back and he was just about to pick Tatton up from home. The plan was that we travel to the City and then head to ‘Sublime’ but I knew there would be some tension there between Min-Su who was keeping her bid to stay out of clubs a secret from Tatton. Shawn was picking up everyone and then finally coming to pick me up and then we were heading for the station where Shawn would park his car. Jett was bringing along his brother for comfort in his situation so I was wondering how six people would fit in Shawn’s small Festiva.
The time edged closer to 8:00 p.m. and a fair while after I called Lyssa the first time I gave her a call back. After five rings I gathered no one was home and Lyssa had already gone out not bothering to call me back but I was wrong. Lyssa’s mum answered the phone and told me that Lyssa would only be a little while. On the phone I waited as Lyssa took her time, then some more time, some more time. Lyssa was taking a while and her mum came back to the phone to inform me she was still on her way. In my head I gathered that Lyssa was still angry and now I was thinking definitely that Lyssa was angry at me and this was her payback. After five minutes I heard Lyssa yelling at her mum to help her look for her fake tan so I gathered Lyssa was going out for the night.
I wasn’t even sure if I was going out for the night before Tatton called me back. Keith called me while I was getting ready to go out and he asked if I wanted to go with him to the Catholic Club. He was going to be there with Ralf and Binh and Tamsen was supposed to also attend the Catholic Club with him but because Min-Su was going to the City with Tatton she got pissed off. Keith told me last night when I had seen him coming back from the City that Diamond was once again at the Catholic Club, something like a regular. He also told me that Lyssa was there with Penelope and Lyssa told me that Keith was at the Catholic Club and it looked like he was by himself. There you go, I get all the information these days after the deed is done. Keith was good for inviting me but I already had plans. The way Keith saw it, if I didn’t have anything to do for the night then I should go out with him instead of spend a Friday night at home alone.
Back to my waiting upon Lyssa to answer the phone, it took about ten minutes for Lyssa to jump on and then still frustrated I asked what was wrong. Lyssa still didn’t want to speak of it but noticeably frustrated she asked if she could call me back in a little while. Finding that more comforting than speaking to an amonious character (There you go, I made another word up “Amonious” meaning angry) on the phone I asked her to call me back. Not even two minutes later Lyssa gave me a call back, everything was relaxed, everything was fine. Lyssa had her fake tan and with her three-quarter pants on she was tanning her legs while talking with me. Lyssa now told me of her night and I told her what I was supposedly doing for the night. Now we realized that the movie night wasn’t happening and it was a good thing that Lyssa wasn’t coming over. That way it’s harder for us to rekindle an old flame. The way I see it, Lyssa and I alone, in my bedroom with nothing more to do than look at each other, it’s bound to set something up no matter how much we try to be friends.
The beach was Lyssa’s plan for Sunday and she was also asked for Saturday but Lyssa thought nothing of it. Tonight Lyssa is going out to Camden to some Club or bar out there that she enjoys visiting. Our conversation was running fine even though I was called up by Tatton during our phone call and told to get ready in fifteen minutes. Instead I talked to Lyssa cool and calm despite my having to get ready. Lyssa appreciated that and I appreciated the fact that I wasn’t hanging up abruptly on her.
Finishing my conversation I got myself ready and around 9:00 p.m. I was picked up from my house. Walking out the front I noticed Jett jumping into the boot and being allowed to sit in the front seat I noticed Tatton, Min-Su and Fred in the back seat. Shawn was wondering whether the car would even make it up my hill, no problems. Jett was probably feeling intrusive about the whole ordeal of coming out so that’s why I feel he jumped into the boot of the car, to make space. Parking the car at the station we walked to the ticket man and asking Tatton to purchase my ticket he was nice enough to do so. Tatton told me he would shout me for the night because everyone knows that I’m a broke mother fucker these days. Lyssa helped me out in what to wear and picking my Adidas pants, my white bonds shirt and the black but faded go out jacket with the zipper I looked decent. Still, I need myself a new wardrobe, badly I need new clothes but I need money first. Monday I am heading to the City to check out some temping agencies.
The trip to the City was lacking highlights but there was a grudge match going out between Min-Su and Tatton. Tatton was constantly putting shit on Min-Su and Jett was just taking it, what else could he do. Tatton was trying to take control of the situation but I gave him a diss here and there to shut his hostile tongue up. Apart from that, Tatton was doing his Chewbacca from Star Wars and we were all going by our fake names, Cashus Silva, Rolley Fingers and Noodles Romanof. There was this old guy on the seats facing the opposite way who was sleeping with his eyes half closed, his mouth open and he looked like he was dead or dying. We kept putting shit on him while he was sleeping, hey we have to do something to buy time.
Min-Su was constantly sitting herself away from Jett. I don’t think they were mucking around because every time she jumped up Jett would get ticked off. Jett doesn’t look like he has much control of his relationship with Min-Su. When he puts his arm around her he doesn’t do it with confidence and Min-Su doesn’t give him that confidence. Jett is just hanging on and the way Min-Su was acting, I’ll give them a couple of months.
Everyone was in their own seat on the train anyway and finally making it to the City we jumped off at Town Hall Station. Not really knowing what to do first I only noticed all the girls walking past and acted my usual self, ecstatic and zealous in my mind. Making our way to a pub on Imad Street near the Cinema complex I found a couple more good girls inside and as everyone was ordering drinks I sat with Jett and Min-Su on some rounds stools. I think everyone drank last night except for me, isn’t that funny. My view was the best view on our compounded round table that seated the six of us. My view was of the front where everyone whizzed past. There were two girls that also sat in front of my view and I realized that after they traveled all the way around the bar and then to where they sat they would have had some thought of getting noticed. Well, I noticed those two girls for most of the night and all sitting with me knew it.
