A Blue Haired Night in the City (Part 3) – Mad Chaos: October 17, 1998

Tatton picked out a song from the Duke Box and it took forever for it to come on. Meanwhile we sat talking in our little group and as everyone was being loud I decided to put on an act of being loud. Once I started so did all else on our table, it was funny, we were now part of the pub. Tatton and Shawn drank their beers and when they finished everyone but me bought a round. As usual someone had to ask me to try some beer, this time it was Tatton, I said no. Fox Sports was playing Gridiron and watching with passion we also noticed that Pro Wrestling was on, we all noted that it was fake but an art form. Shawn’s blue hair wasn’t doing much but being blue, Tatton got some attention though. While at the jukebox again he got chatted up by an old lady around 26 years old. Well she wasn’t old looking, she was wearing the usual, fuck me boots, leather skirt, you know the deal. We’re not sure if she was trying to chat Tatton up but he was having a good old conversation with her.

Deciding to bring her thoughts into our night’s events Min-Su decided that it was time for her to go home. Figuring that she would bring this up I have to also say that everyone wanted to stay home when we bought our tickets. Shawn told us that a party at his house would be great because he could invite some girls from Pizza Hut but we already bought our tickets and couldn’t get a refund. Min-Su was now Tatton’s worst enemy as the word spread around the table and everyone had to make a choice, stay or go. Tatton was really content to head for ‘Sublime’ but no one else wanted to go. Myself, I didn’t really care if we stayed in the City or left for Campbelltown but I didn’t want to visit ‘Sublime’. Still not certain but more certain about going home we made our way to Macdonald’s across the street as Tatton still pissed off wanted to get some food.

In Tatton’s defense for a good night out I have to say that Min-Su did ruin it. Since the phone call to me telling me that she didn’t want to visit ‘Sublime’ and was trying to change the plans around, I knew something was going to go down. Jett and Min-Su were being too entertained with each other so they didn’t want to visit a club. Tatton should learn from this experience and he told me that never again is he going to invite Min-Su to the City, she just caused a big huff and puff of the situation. Even when we got back to Campbelltown Min-Su was being selfish. It was 2:00 a.m. when we arrived back in Campbelltown. Shawn didn’t want to drive his car with 6 people because he was drinking and said he would make two trips to get people home. The plan was for Shawn, Tatton and I to travel back to the City as soon as possible. Min-Su was hiding behind Jett and Jett was hiding behind Min-Su and they were pissing Tatton off for not giving us an answer or getting in the car. Min-Su wanted to spend her last hour with Jett and at one point I thought we were all going to sit there on the pavement at Shawn’s car because of Jett and Min-Su. Shawn started his car though and Jett, Fred and Min-Su were driven, home finally. More about the end of our night when I reach that chronological state.

At Macdonald’s Tatton was showing how angry he was by putting some shit on Min-Su in his own little way. Tatton ate his burger then lay his head on the table so I sat there and done the same, so did Shawn and Fred, funny shit. No one wanted to be the one to say ‘Let’s go back to Campbelltown’.

Saturday 9:18 p.m.

What am I, getting tired of writing or something. It must be the twelve-page rule that I write thumbs down when I reach that number. It takes me twelve pages to get bored of writing. Well, whatever it is I’m here after plenty of hours rest and the reason I’m back and writing in speed is that I have to go out tonight and I slacked off on writing about the rest of last night. Not that there’s much of last night but there is a bit to write about today’s events which I haven’t gotten to yet so let’s start from where we left off and see how far we can get before Keith gets here. The plan for tonight is to head for the City and from what I planned, Keith should be here in no less than fifteen minutes, fast typing time.

Now we were in Macdonald’s and nothing special really happened but Tatton did have a sook and decided to head for another bar until we all made up our mind of what we wanted to do. There the rest of us sat and grabbing some money off Shawn I ran to the phones to see if Keith was in the City as he said he would probably go. Like everyone else I crossed the street while the traffic was running and making my call I noticed a girl standing at the Cinema’s, pretty sexy but she had something about her. Keith didn’t answer his phone but as soon as I got back to Macdonald’s we realized that it was time to head off home. Tatton came out of the bar about this time and he was enraged knowing we were all heading home. Still Tatton could do nothing except for follow.

Walking to one part of Town Hall Station we realized after walking right into the complex that the gate for the station was closed. Tatton was ecstatic about this and gathered that we had to stick around at least an hour to catch a night-ride bus but this didn’t happen. Tatton was picking on Min-Su and being all out rude to her but not enough for Jett to say something back to him. It all went wrong when Jett and Min-Su were coming down together, I knew something was going to ruin the night because of that and it did. Jett and Fred walked into the other part of the station and as we all followed we noticed the trains were still running and it was open. Making our way down to our platform the time was 12:30 a.m. and it was basically the last train we were catching.

The wait was at least 20 minutes so Shawn and Fred bought themselves some food and when that was done we went walkabouts. Tatton was whimpering in a corner and we went to talk to him but he wasn’t being very receptive. Basically his night of going to ‘Sublime’ was fucked up but the real fuck up was bad planning and wrong people, that would probably also include me but I would have gone if it came down to that. Plenty of girls walked past us but we also walked past plenty of good looking girls not really doing anything out of the ordinary apart from whispering to get their attention. By myself at one stage I caught the escalator down and in the middle platform (We were on the bottom platform) there were two blondes, one skinnier and the hottest piece I have seen in a while and the other also beautiful but a bit larger. The skinny one was wearing black pants, a hound dog blue top a v neck and her hair was either up in a ponytail or something else. Whatever it was I loved it and going down I caught their attention by waving to them and I was surprised that they waved back.

Back downstairs I was with a new ambition. Gathering Fred, Tatton and Shawn we made our way to a surprise that I wouldn’t tell them of. All they knew was that there were some beautiful girls up on the next level, heck they didn’t even know that. Making our way up the stairs I gathered that if I was with a group I would have a bit more confidence and I did. As we came up the stairs and around we noticed the train pulling up and kicking myself for having bad timing I also noticed the girls jumping off their seats just as we came around the corner. Looking at the beautiful blonde with the blue top I raised my hands in desperation as if to say “Oh God, I’m too late” and as they walked past us I just smiled and she smiled back feeling somewhat intimidated. As they jumped on the train we thought we would have some fun and locating them on the train we bent down to see them and all four of us starting smiling and waving. It was funny but it’s a shame and good in a way that the girls didn’t notice us. The guard and plenty of people on the train did notice us though, that was cool.
