Get Chaos Screen Recorder on Google Play
Disabling the screenshot button
I had already created a version of the app bundle that lets you disable the screenshot button and turns the record button into a one-pixel overlay. You cannot see it on the screen, but you can still tap it. I built an APK of that and installed it on my phone.
Recording Floor Is Lava
Floor Is Lava had just gone into closed testing. When I loaded it onto my phone through the tester link, I smiled, thinking that I could now use a screen recorder to record myself playing the game, cut bits and pieces into a video montage and advertise it. That was exciting. I put the same latest build of the recorder through its first real test the next day, July 5.
Feature Log: July 4, 2026
- Option to disable the screenshot button
- Record button becomes a one-pixel overlay that still responds to taps
