What is left to build
I loaded my diary and the latest version of BeStreak into a new prompt and asked what additional things I had wanted to program into the app. Nutrition was slated as next. When I checked my own notes, there was a lot: a nutrition tab, free versus premium nutrition tiers, blood pressure tracking, progress and stats charts, a weekly recap with activity adjusted BMR and BMI, and calendar overlays.
Those six things I have to consider adding to what is already quite a complex app, but if it adds functionality, then why not?
A debug panel only I can open
I set up a debug panel, and it works. I put my email inside the Firebase rules, so that if I’m signed in with that email, an HTML file hosted locally on my own computer lets me view the bug log. No one else has access to it.
I created a new APK with the debug button and form, logged a test, loaded up my HTML document, and what do you know, the bug was logged. That’s perfect. I can give a bug tracker version to the people doing closed testing.
Ideas at the gym
At the gym I had ideas. The rest timer could have some text to begin with: for heavy exercise use this many seconds, for cardio use this many. I don’t know how many seconds I should rest between sets.
Another good feature is instant conversion of pounds to kilos. On some machines you don’t know whether the stack is in kilos or pounds. I’m doing pec deck now, so I type in 75, tap it, and a pop-up converts it.
I also wanted to simulate a free user’s caps while logged in as premium. I used five audio clips and was told I had reached my limit, and I’d like to see where the caps hit without losing my premium.
And dials. To avoid typing, there could be small pills for sets, reps and weight that open a dial you push up and down. Dials will be much quicker than inputting numbers. Maybe a setting decides whether you use numbers or dials.
Blood pressure
Overnight I started on the blood pressure module, one of the six. It asked me some questions and went straight into developing it. When it was finished it was just what I had envisioned, but some inputs were not correctly aligned, so I had to go back. It turned out really beautiful. You have blood pressure readings now.
App Features Log: July 10, 2026
- Private debug panel that logs bug reports from the app
- Blood pressure log added
- Planned: rest timer guidance, pounds to kilos conversion, dials for number inputs
