Get Chaos Screen Recorder on Google Play
Getting it ready for closed testing
After I got back home from getting the coffee, I went to the computer and kept going with the Chaos Screen Recorder, getting it ready for closed testing. I had to fill out the twelve point questionnaire in Google Play Console. It was an hour of copy and paste, filling in forms and answering questions.
At the end of the questionnaire, Claude AI made a feature graphic for me, so I did not even need to go into Claude Design. It gave me a nice feature graphic, and I used it along with the app icon.
Testing it on my phone
While I was out I tested the recorder and took screenshots with it. The screenshots below show what a new user sees: the welcome note explaining the two permissions, the screen capture prompt, the floating buttons, and the settings for the screenshot button, hiding buttons while recording, orientation and audio. They also show the volume mixer and the safe mode segment length, and the trim tool, which now has sliders.
The signed bundle
I uploaded a signed AAB file for the Chaos Screen Recorder to Google Play Console, so all of those steps were complete. Now I just needed twelve testers. I could market the app too, but I would not do that straight away, because I already had so many apps on my phone and the recorder would be the next one off the rank.
