Stoned By Secondhand Fumes

What a trippy feeling… Last night, where the condiments of curiosity were added, I sat at Nero’s house with the strong possibility that I was minorly stoned from all their fumes. There was no faking of my actions that night, just pure insanity, babbling constant shit and a stream of laughter that I just couldn’t put a stop to. From laughter came a touch of a headache and my eyes (Just like now a bit) were starting to feel tired and close up.

The tears were running down my cheeks profusely and yet, at most times we all didn’t know what we were breaking out into laughter for. If last night was indeed the first night that by secondary fumes I’ve ever been stoned then it was a great night indeed for a first. There were the friends with more new beginnings, the crashed party, the persistent girls for dick we held out of the house and the constant hilarity of the night.

Last night Imad, Nero, Tyler and myself got together and I feel that if we were missing one of those juices, it wouldn’t have been the same. I also feel that with Imad popping over my house at the right time, it has created now the perfect bond between the four of us who definitely all have a certain charisma about themselves. Today at 5:00 p.m. the four of us have made plans to head out rock climbing which was originally my idea with Imad’s but after we asked Nero along at my house and needing a partner, I had to give Tyler a try.

There were no hassles with Tyler stepping out like I thought there would be and now, if Nero, Tyler and Imad can get over whatever getting stoned gives to them, we will have another day together. Remembering that on the way back home when I was being the biggest fool protesting harshly that I wasn’t stoned, Imad said to me “Just wait until tomorrow, you’re going to laugh at today”.

Chatting With Nero

Turning our focus onto last Saturday, we begin with the knowledge that I woke up early in the morning and then started upon my memoirs for a good hour and a half of the morning. Awaiting Nero to head over my house after we had a chat on the phone, the aim of our morning’s game was to head out to the Gym together. Nero is a gem to talk to on the phone and each time I call him he’s always uplifted by my voice and I then by his.

The man with the Purple Pleasure which has playboy bunnies on the back window for a touch of class and whose catch phrase is “Nah, Jack”, he’s the man. After an uplifting conversation that left me in high spirits, I continued with my typing awaiting his arrival and soon enough, his car turned up out the front of my house at 12:30 p.m. Having to start work at 2:00 p.m., we didn’t have too great a deal of time but it was enough for the both of us to bond just that touch.

Wearing my Guess shoes and my Adidas pants because my other shoes were covered with mud from skirmish, upon jumping in the car those were the first things he noticed. “Jack, those shoes are beautiful” he smiled with a gaze which with another person’s gratifying opinion, I was all the more content for having bought them. It was with Nero’s parking the car that I noticed for the first time the ‘Purple Pleasure’ on the side of the car, asking for the story behind that.

Paying For Water

When at the counter, the smooth charms of Nero rolled out as we both paid our way in and then asking if I wanted a drink of water and to my kindly saying no, he uttered “And one bottle of water for him”. The girl behind the counter smiled to the appeal of Nero as she noted “That’s right, he’s having one whether he wants it or not” and knowing that this small charity would have seen the girls admiration for Nero climb up, I with a complacent smile led the way down the stairs and towards our first workout together.

There isn’t too great a deal to speak of my workout other than it lasted around an hour and I’d considered the whole body in my workout. In truth, because I was chatting away with Nero for most of the workout, I wasn’t thinking too much about pumping weights hard and just took it easy, jumping on here and there as he followed sets after me. Not worth its own section (Just this once) I worked out the Chest Biceps, Triceps and then the Abdominals before retiring.

The Chest along with the Abdominals received the most attention as we also worked upon the Biceps despite Nero already having touched up on them in the morning with his free weights at home. With the Chest, we worked on Peck Deck Fly’s with 120 pounds, Machine Seated Bench Press with 140 pounds and a host of other weight variances. The workout was fair but it gave the both of us to catch up with some conversation so we can bridge that gap of mystery further.

When it was time for Nero to head back home, I insisted that I walk back home for the exercise as he needed to drive back to his house without any hassles anyway. “Don’t be silly Jack” he exclaimed as I stuck to my guns and thanking me for the day, we made further plans for him to come over that same night for the Playstation but alas, he didn’t arrive.

Heading For Campbelltown

Just to quickly brush upon the rest of my Saturday before my next entry at 6:00 p.m. which will undoubtedly take a couple of pages anyway. Heading back home and taking some Creatine with some of my new muscle definition supplement, I had myself a half an hour rest and then decided to head towards Campbelltown at 2:30 p.m. Hoping that the optometrist in Campbelltown would be open, I didn’t take into account that it was late in Saturday.

Nevertheless, I did think it would be closing around 4:00 p.m. so to my credit, I still had a fair amount of time. Dressing up now in my Guess shoes, black cargo pants and my white Hound Dog top (I need new colors for summer, black and white is too bland) I stepped out and towards the bus-stop at the shops, hoping I would be able to catch a bus down.

In my little venture towards the bus-stop and with my not wearing socks with these new shoes, the small size of the shoe was starting to chaff my toes. Having to pull them in so they wouldn’t feel like they were bulging out the front, I learnt an invaluable lesson after wearing them yesterday to Campbelltown. With socks the shoes feel fine but once you’re barefoot you have to clench your toes.

Reaching the bus-stop at Bradbury shops, even before looking at the timetable, in my mind I wanted to walk to Imad’s house and try persuading him to head down to Campbelltown with me. However, after some logical thought, I figured missing my bus would mean I’d have to endure these shoes for a longer duration and Imad probably wouldn’t come anyway.

Laughing At My Shoes

Therefore, as I waited for the bus with these two Samoan girls sitting down inside the waiting area, I couldn’t wait to jump on and rid slight insecurity. The first thing the two girls looked at was my shoes and then in their language they continued on with their conversation. However, I couldn’t help but to feel they were cracking jokes about my shoes and as I jumped on the bus, I didn’t care about the girls, only my day’s mission.

Dropped off at Campbelltown Station, I made my trek down Queen Street which was looking dismal in population at most. The first destination I sought to check out was the optometrist near the ‘Advertiser’ building and to my surprise at the time, the store was closed. Cursing at my having to come down to Campbelltown almost for no reason, I made a trek up to the mall in hopes that I would be able to find an optometrist there to help me out with my needs.

Running Into Lonnie

Knowing that I didn’t want to travel to the same guys that fucked up Penelope’s eyesight, I wasn’t too sure upon who it was, the guy upstairs or the new optometrist downstairs which was like a box. Out the front of the mall near Sanity, just before walking in I bumped into Lonnie walking the opposite way as myself. Stopping him to have a chat, he introduced the friend standing next to him to which I thought it was his cousin and we just got to talking about jobs, how I was going and his now having moved to that road where St.

Pats High School is on, most probably St David’s Road. You can’t escape the disgrace from the past, only cover it up as best you can. That’s why I felt like laughing and shaking my head at the same time when our school days were brought up by me. Lonnie tried to make those days seem like we were good friends at school when we both really knew that the first year of knowing him was hell for me.

Lonnie used to spit onto my clothes at school when I was in the library and whenever he would walk past, I would fear some unneeded retaliation. However, when I befriended Tobin to which Lonnie had been locked up in the detention center for some time, I used Tobin as leverage to at least make the situation with me and Lonnie seem void. The reason he started hating me was just a whim of his on a certain day and it carried on until I made friends with Tobin.

From then on, he was wary of being my friend but after a while and then coming out of school, our friendship did out of malevolence originate. Jett used to hate Lonnie to which they had a fight one stairs on a flight of stairs but after such a long time, I don’t care to chat with him and associate him with myself.
