A Street Brawl Seen From the Car (Part 3) – Mad Chaos: March 14, 1999

A Heated Argument on Queen Street

With a Sunday paper each in our hands we headed to Queen Street to watch everyone coming out and as we made our way down the main road I noticed a Samoan guy having what seemed to look like a heated discussion. Diverting our car’s attention and the probability of a fight I noticed heaps of Samoan guys around and then this one tall and fairly solid guy approaching the one Samoan. Before you knew it he started punching into the Samoan who must have been around 24 years old.

The other Samoan friend of his who was maybe a year older than me but somewhat solid tried to help his friend but soon there was about six guys on the two Samoans. I thought that the rest of the Samoan guys would back up their culture but they just stood back and we were all in awe sitting in the car at the ferocity of the attack. The older Samoan was beaten to the ground with a fist flying from each corner. Once he was down there the taller Australian looking guy started to kick him in the head and despite his clutching his protective hands around his own face he couldn’t stop the stomp on his head.

Four Against One

Stomping his head into the ground I thought this a bit too much and with him on the ground I paid more attention to the other Samoan guy. Figuring that he didn’t want to get stomped in the head like his friend he made his way walking down the street with fist flying at him from everywhere. Let me just note that the attack was so fast upon them and there was so much numbers upon them that they didn’t get to throw any punches at all, none that I had seen anyway.

This Samoan guy walked towards the crossing where we were just before it and grabbed for his life to a pole. Still these four guys were beating into him, holding his face up and then giving him a clean hit to the head whenever they could. They were wearing him down and it looked as if he was going to fall but he was holding on to the pole and taking the brunt of it for a reason, he didn’t want to die. If he had fallen like his friend to the ground and suffered stomping to the head his fate would have been much worse.

Security Arrives Too Late

Finally after a minute of watching this brawl (Which seemed so long a slaughter) the security came over and even they had looks of mercy on their faces for the Samoan guys left in tatters. Both of the Samoans had their shirt ripped and the one who was leaning on the pole dizzily walked away as straight as he could.

His friend was left on the ground and lying on his Chest he didn’t appear to be moving that much. Within thirty seconds the people that were doing the bashing had disappeared, either that or I couldn’t remember what they looked like but that’s a bit hard. The security looked stunned at the ferocity upon the two Samoans and seeing all the other Samoans just standing around with blank faces, I knew they didn’t want to try anything.

However, I feel that if Mikaere was there with his bunch of friends, this probably wouldn’t have happened.

Ambulances and Guesswork

Parking the car and walking up to get a better look the Samoan on the ground wasn’t looking that well but he moved to a slumped position against a wall. It didn’t take too long before the cops arrived, four cars to be exact. With that came two ambulances and before we left back for the car I noticed the Samoan that was on the ground was throwing up, two maybe three times. The kicks to the head surely done damage to him as well as all the punches to his body and you could see his frustration as he punched into a roller-door as he chucked his chunks.

His other Samoan friend came back up the street to see his friend. He was down the street talking to a girl and hugging her, some emotional shit. If only I knew what the argument was about but I’m figuring that the older Samoan guy was drunk and he must have said something to the guy that whipped his ass. Then again, the Australian guy could have just been fighting him because he was trying to get onto his lady or something, that’s usually how these things start. I honestly thought that the Samoans were going to whoop their ass but I was wrong because I didn’t realize how much they were up against and how the Samoans didn’t stick together.

Watching the Girls Go By

While in the car I noticed all the girls walking up the street and while some of them were hot most of them were the ordinary Chevy’s type. Ingrid was also noticed from Pizza Hut in her club dress and I noticed her ass was pretty good looking from my vantage point. She was talking to Waali and the Leb Mazin guy and why she was I don’t know, maybe she was trying to score. Simon told me that she’s been around with a fair few people as I remembered how she used to like me and my zany attitude back then, one that I no longer have.

Home to Skipping and Job Ads

When the time arrived to 3:30 a.m. we headed home, Simon was dropped off first and then I. Upon coming back home I read the newspaper that we nicked, circled a couple of jobs I am eager to look into and then turned on my computer. However, before I started on my computer I done 1000 reps on the skipping rope, had myself a shower and then began here. The time is now 7:45 a.m. and my eye is starting to twitch so that means I have to get off fairly soon.

Actually, it means I’m going to get off now…

Autumn Embers and a Late Form

Sunday 11:32 p.m.

Embers aglow, Autumn uses the last of the ashes that breathe the spiraling air and kills such breath that we of life shall not live. When those Summer embers have extinguished I will know it to be Winter and death in the coals will be as dark as their sintered color. Tonight I must keep myself up until the early hours of the morning because I have made another error with handing my form in. Once more it has turned out to be a fortnightly form instead of a monthly form and knowing I had to hand it in on Friday I will now have to keep myself awake to hand it in tomorrow morning. The positive aspect of this is that I can start calling the jobs that I circled in the newspaper Keith got for me last night.

A Sonnet in the Making

Although there is barely enough chronology to talk of tonight I know I have much to talk about regarding characters from the lost years and my thoughts upon them. More of that will be revealed later in this chapter but for now let me also point out that I will try my hand at a Sonnet. Two hours before writing in this Diary entry I had a feeling inside that I would be able to write a great Sonnet tonight, I had the vibe. Thus, I have already started on one of the lost years Sonnets and if this is completed tonight it will make eight Sonnets in this series.

Reading the Biorhythms

Far from that now and before I begin I would like to recite the Biorhythm Cycles for tonight. It has been a fair while since I have included a reading in here but I figure because I want to fill some of these pages up now would be the best time. On top of that, my mental cycle has just kicked in and although it should have kicked in four days ago to my expectations I am starting to feel the vibe now. Tomorrow will also see the start of my physical cycle so I should be expecting something more than usual in the Gym. Anyway, here now is the Biorhythm Cycles for today…

Physical 23 DAY CYCLE 23rd DAY -11

Emotional 28 DAY CYCLE 1st DAY -10

Mental 33 DAY CYCLE 10th DAY +1
