Lost Desires and Lost Dreams

Thursday 4:00 p.m.

Hello again, and welcome to the pages of lost desires, dreams and hopes. This juggling of prosperity, how long will it somersault in my life. From the chance of losing my payments to finding out that these pages and my poems may never be seen by other eyes is breaking on the stones of my faith. These entries are getting shorter in detail, longer in jargon and more insipid to read as the determination and enthusiasm is slowly beginning to ooze from me.

The reason I stopped writing on my last entry is because I had enough of typing in my diary with nothing else of avail to assist my day. However, that little episode is over as I’ve had time to myself, time to gripe and time to think as I sat out in the backyard for a little while. The will to write has overpowered me a tad more than my last entry so I will try and write responsively to that desire as best I can now…

A Mystery Car Out the Front

The story begins from yesterday, when I had finished my day in the City and was now headed home on the bus. Starting from when I arrived home that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. I prepared myself something to eat as I was starving. Having only eaten Froot Loops that morning you could understand the appetite that would have accumulated. However, as my mum boiled me some sausages and I heated up a meat pie I didn’t have too much of a chance to gulp down on it.

Hearing a car out the front of my house I peered out of my open curtains only to see a strange car never before seen. Trying to look deeper into the car through all the shrubs and trees out in my front yard I could only make out blonde hair. Immediately that pushed the excitement button in me as I thought that it could only be Lyssa or Jewell and I was hoping for the latter. All of a sudden all my Christmas’s had come at once but my only problem now was cleaning up the food and mess in my room.

Looking out the window again I couldn’t figure if indeed it was a blonde haired girl I had seen or even if it had been for me so I kept myself composed as I made my way to the front door. Hearing footsteps creeping into my view from around the tree I thought it could probably be Kieran and Lyssa or Jewell and her brother. Nevertheless, my heart stopped beating so profusely in anxious bliss as I found it to be Pari and Osama. This upon itself was still interesting as I opened the door before they even made their way up my driveway.

Osama and His Marriage

“Look, he’s already opened the door for us” Osama remarked with a smirking smile upon his cheeks. Waddling up to my door they showed courtesy as they closed the door, took their shoes off and then made their way into my room. Greeting them both with a handshake I sat them down in my room as we began chatting amongst each other. The conversation was interesting and of many different topics but one thing we did talk about every now and again was about Osama and his marriage.

From what I was told, Osama had been going out with a girl for two and a half years in which he finally married her not too long ago. Despite this long lasting love the family of the girl kept saying bad things about Osama until six weeks into their relationship she left him. Now she keeps calling him daily asking for a divorce but because Osama is Muslim he doesn’t want to give her the satisfaction. Actually, his wife called while they were at my house and he felt the need to step out of the room for a second so he could chat in private with her.

In this time Pari asked me to play the piano but I declined that offer several times. The next best thing was for Pari to hear his favorite song by R. Kelly but I kept playing around with him on that also by pressing random repeatedly and noting “Here we go, this will be your song now”. Talk of what we were all doing also sprouted and in spite of Osama working as a low paid security guard for C.P.S we all considered ourselves broke.

Magazines and Night Plans

With Osama heading back into the room after his phone call Pari started talking about my muscle magazines so I thought it would be good to hand them all to him. Pari insisted that he didn’t want to take them off me but I knew as I was shoveling them out of my wardrobe that he was inclined to my offer and wanted a good read, in spite of them being an old read.

Shifting the conversation to boredom and friendship I told them that I don’t go out as much anymore because I tried getting to sleep early so Osama offered for us to go out for the night. At first the thought of heading to the movies was on the table but both of them didn’t want to sneak in as I proposed and I didn’t want to butcher them of their money when they offered to pay because I knew I could sneak in.

Through the topic we made uncertain plans to head out to a nightclub on Saturday which I would be inclined to do if Osama wanted to head out. Neither of them have been to a club before and Osama wants to head out because he’s practically single now. Yes, he is hurting as he agreed upon through the night in references to his relationship but he also wants to get out there and get over it.

Therefore, for his ailing heart we decided to head up to Macarthur Square but to play the Super Session at Fun n Games for two hours in which they would both shout me in. Apart from the loads of magazines I gave to Pari I also thought to get rid of the plastic pool given to me by Rochelle, (We all had a good laugh about that) and a couple of singles from the wreckage of a person’s home.

Osama’s Lead Foot

Scooping their prizes into our arms we put our shoes on and then made our way to Osama’s car. Placing all the books and other possessions into the backseat along with myself he started his Scorpion and we were off. What didn’t surprise me however is Osama’s driving ability. Knowing that he has crashed a car before, I noted that he had a rather unpleasant lead foot and a rather ballistic approach at when to use it. It was like Osama had a twitch in his leg and unlike his unavailing sixth finger that holds no real purpose, the twitching played an important role in his driving forsythe.

Ivory White at Macarthur Square

In any event, we made it safely to Macarthur Square as Osama parked where most others do, at the side entrance to the Cinema. Jumping out of the car we made our departure to the Cinemas where we checked out what was screening but thought not to see a movie. Osama thought it was a sin to sneak in, obviously against his religion. I might take this moment to touch upon how Osama and Pari were dressed. Both of them looked smart in their mostly ivory white and white clothing.

Their clothes looked fairly new and it seemed to me that they would be able to pose for a Just Jeans commercial in the styles they were wearing. Compared to my all black apparel I did feel somewhat different to them but never unsociable to their styles. Their styles did brush off on my thoughts and if I had money to spend I would probably consider buying the colors and styles of what they had worn that night. However, thus far, I only really have two items to wear out.
