Centrelink Ruins My Day
Well, I was having a good day, but now those dicks at Centrelink are fucking up my good day. From the easy street I have guttered myself back to destitution and I have the government to thank. Today I received a letter from Centrelink informing me that I must attend another one of their work for the dole sessions. This pissed me off because I have just been through that ordeal so I thought to give them a call so I could explain my reasoning and see if I can get out of it.
However, they had different plans and in the space of half an hour tentatively arguing with him I tried to get myself out of trouble by putting myself in it. In the course of my argument I mentioned that I was working for temping agencies and when they asked why I wasn’t writing it down on my dole form I uttered “Because I occasionally get work and therefore I don’t earn enough to be taxed”.
This was a stupid thing to say and as my struggle wasn’t getting any more deserved than the first couple of minutes his grip was becoming tighter on my throat. Near the end of our first conversation I hung up when he put me on hold because I was pissed off but because he was relentless he called back minutes later. At one stage he asked to call my temping agencies so he could verify I was getting paid but that would have got me unstuck so I volunteered to bring in my bank details.
I really fucked myself up now and what’s more, he’s the person that will be leading the information session where I will have to sign my form. Now, this will definitely change how I will be spending my money this fortnight. Instead of working on my bike I think I will save that portion of money, pricks.
For the past couple of hours I have been trying to relax so I could write effectively in my diary but that’s just ruined now. If this diary every had its last legs, it feels like these would be it. The strive to write in my diary or poetry at that has diminished and I hold myself no favors in flattery of any sort. I have until the middle of this month to make my changing into normality a peaceful one and following that date, hell will from Centrelink spawn. Let me now get to chronology before I rip up vengeful passion to these pages.
Going Out Without My Hat
Beginning now upon a more lighter note that does need not change the course of my life forthwith. Leaving my diary entry yesterday in the middle of the day I was on my way to the City. Packing my pockets full of necessities and listening to some music to relax myself for the walk I decided to do something different. Instead of chucking on a hat as I usually do I enjoyed how my hair looked just after a shower and decided to leave for the City without my hat.
Placing some Brylcreem in my hair I hoped that it wouldn’t stuff up and become all scruffy when I arrived in the City but my wishes didn’t come true. Despite that little flaw in my journey I left some time after midday. Taking my cargo pants and black bonds top I slightly sweated in the warm day but nothing to worry me.
Train Ride With a Blonde
Once at the station I had to sit around for half an hour for my East Hills train to arrive because there was a cancellation but I wasn’t worried as there was a good looking blonde on the seats next to me. Having her mother and what looked like her baby, I looked at her beauty, her long frame, her blonde hair and her perky breasts. When the train finally arrived I jumped on one side of the carriage while they jumped on the other but my plan was to see if they would go upstairs or downstairs so I could sit in view of them.
Making her way upstairs I done so also and for the whole trip to the City I had something to look at. There were times nearing the halfway point of our journey where she would try and sneak looks backwards by looking out the window but I was two seats back and on the other side, it was a bit hard. She did look interested at one stage but I don’t know why since my hair would have started looking shit right about this time, it doesn’t see enough light of day.
Dodging the Ticket Collector
Moving right along forward, let me make haste of these lengthened paragraphs I speak as I grow tired of minute details. Stopping at Central Station I was hoping that out of all the exits there would be one without a ticket collector but I was wrong. Therefore, I had to jump back on the train and try Museum Station, where the gates are always open of these times.
When reaching Museum Station I was right in my hunch, the gates were open and no workers were around to even think about asking me for a ticket. My trip to the City was worthwhile but still, I had to try and get out without buying a ticket as I only had two dollars.
Clothes Shopping in the City
My first place to visit in the City was a brand name clothing sale that I had seen on television. It was selling Gas Station pants at half price so I thought to check it out which was at the Town Hall. Walking up the steps of Town Hall I was advised that I had to make my way to the side entrance near the back so that I did. Once inside I noticed a heap of clothes racks, a large hall and music that pumped and reverberated off the walls to give out an echo.
Being by myself and not being able to distinguish what section was for male and what was for female I looked through two sections before I made my way out of there and never looked back. Despite what I was wearing I didn’t feel comfortable in there. From there I headed to various other shops, the main ones including the Gas Station shop (Where I bought my cargo pants and nightclub shirt) and Hound Dog.
When I was in the Gas Station shop I tried on some pants and a jumper which I have been trying to find for a while but they didn’t appeal very much to me. When in Hound Dog I tried on two shirts that were extremely tight on me and therefore, undistinguishable as to how they would look properly. There were some dark blue pants that I was going to try on but I thought against it as there was a large gape in the side of my changing room door where you would be able to make out my naked body.
Flicking my hair back continuously became a bother and I knew that I must have looked like a stray cat but I had to put up with it. For half of the day I was dreaming of my hat and placing it on my head for some stress relief but I placed a challenge to be a bit different in front of me and I accomplished that challenge.
From those two main stores I also made my way into a couple more well known stores where I tried on some more cargo pants and a blue button up shirt. The only reason I suckered myself into doing that is because I saw a good looking lady working in the shop so I needed some questions to come up with so I could talk to her.
A Day of Looking Only
There was nothing bought while I was in the City, no people seen, just in and out of shops. However, when I was making my way to the station I did notice Rory who waved to me from his car. Nearer to Campbelltown I noticed Pepsi who also waved to me out of a car but it wasn’t his T18. Rather, it looked like a brand new car and I couldn’t distinguish exactly what make but I think it was Honda.
The time in the City lasted until 3:00 p.m. that afternoon and despite not having visited the fig tree or any other place apart from shops it was productive. Now that I have received this new blow from Centrelink I will be spending my money different and again, I can’t yet save it. Rather, I had my eye on those blue pants from Hound Dog and on Monday I am thinking of heading down and buying them for myself.
Phone Calls After Centrelink
Also, the need to buy another pair of pants for work is on the Agenda so I can feel better about myself when I do start working again. These new thoughts were triggered off because of the places I called immediately after my conversation with Centrelink. Calling up another temping agency in Alexandria they were again impressed with my expertise and wanted me to head in for an interview tomorrow. They are asking for my bank details so I figure that they will deliver as quick as IPA had done for me.
Looking through my poetry I also thought to give some publishing companies a ring so I could find out some information about getting some of it published. It turns out that poetry isn’t in too much of a demand but I was put onto ‘The Writer’s Center’ and they were very helpful to be sending me out a monthly booklet. I also called the editors of FHM to find out who makes that great looking blue shirt with pinstripes, I want it.
Wet Ride Home
Getting back to my story in the City, I made my way back to Museum Station at 3:00 p.m. and luckily the ticket collector wasn’t there again. Down to the platform I made my way and walking along it I didn’t find it too difficult to sit myself between a great looking girl who was reading a magazine and an older lady. Usually I would hesitate and eventually stand on the walls but my cares were different this time around.
However, when the train arrived twenty minutes later (After four trains pulled in) she quickly jumped up and walked to the end of the platform. This I felt was so she could get away from me because she thought I was some deranged psychopath who wanted to eat her but I could be wrong. On the way home it started to sprinkle a tad and when I was finally in Campbelltown and I jumped off it was still present.
Therefore, instead of walking home, get wet and freeze my balls off I decided to catch the bus which was already there. Handing over all the loose change that I had for the bus driver he just threw it in without thinking of counting it and I sat myself down. There was a good looking school girl that jumped on and reminded me of Sama. The school skirt that this girl was wearing was fairly high cut, cheerleader length. Upon being dropped off I had to rush my walk home because the weather started to pick up.
