Late Again With the Diary
Late once again, the morning has come upon me and I have much to write of my night but my appetite for literature just isn’t here. Once more my eagerness to type in my diary has been halted, at least for one more night. Some nights I just don’t feel up to scratch and tonight it’s taken me an hour or two to face this computer but here I am. Despite only having one night to talk of I dread the length of pages and lack of creativity in my words but I shall finish my chronology here for tonight.
Before I begin for Tuesday let me just make a note of something I forgot to mention in my Saturday night. When Shawn, Tatton, Keith and I went out for our last time that Saturday night to do some off road rally driving we made our way back home past Queen Street. What I forgot to mention about our night was how we noticed the papers were out and stopping on Ralf’s street where the paper shop is down there we patiently waited for a taxi to leave that was hanging around the front suspiciously.
Stealing Sunday Newspapers
Our aim was to steal a bunch of Sunday morning papers for each of us and as the taxi left from the front of the newsagent I spotted another car that looked fairly new. Gathering that they were either waiting for someone to come out of the flats, they were the owners of the store out on prowl or they too wanted to steal papers, we patiently waited for them to leave.
Seconds later they started to slowly take off but cutting across the road towards our car, they asked, “Do you know of any good parties around here.” Engaging in small talk they then asked if we were there to steal papers and as we cautiously nodded, he yelled out to his friends, “Get em boys” and they jumped out to grab a bundle of papers each.
Tatton also decided to join in on the action and as I watched him from the back window he picked up a bundle of heavy papers just like everyone else. The hilarious part was when Tatton was bringing them back and losing his balance in the middle of the road he started leaning more forward with each step.
Loosing his balance he started stepping all goofy and before you knew it he dropped the papers in front of him while running at full pace as well as forgetting to let go. This caused Tatton to topple over the newspaper bundle but still not letting go, his arms yanked on him and like a rubber band he was pulled back towards the papers falling back over them. So Tatton tripped over the papers and then being flung back towards them he fell over them.
I could imagine all the guys from the other car were having a laugh at him running back to their car because the three of us in Tatton’s car were balling our eyes out in hysteria. You had to see his face, his bumbling fall and then his elastic rebound to reap the full hysterical world of laughter. Getting back home we all had a go at Tatton in the car and as I was dropped off I had a read of the paper and then got myself back to sleep.
Hiccups and Sunshine Lines
Adding some extra portions of thoughts and considerations into this Diary I have two things to point out here. The first about my bodily functions and thinking upon it lately I realize that I sporadically hiccup. Not being able to remember the last time that I hiccupped it must have been a year or two back but the moral of the story is that hiccupping has not been part of my routine, not daily, not monthly, not even yearly. It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten how to hiccup and what it feels like. Being the complete opposite of my mum and Lyssa, they hiccup frequently but not as frequently as I sneeze.
The second point I would like to add to my Diary has to do with the Sonnet I made called “If thou dost play, thou play with all ‘f sun’s luster.” Surely I’ve mentioned the moral of the story and what it means but reading over it last night I have come up with two lines to depict the moral of that story. When it feels like my emotional walls have been caved in I should know, like the sun shines upon me, there will always be a brighter day. That is the two thoughts that were looming in my mind, now for chronology.
A Tuesday Phone Call
My Tuesday could have started around midday when Lyssa called me but I got myself back to sleep very soon after she called. Calling me back around 2:00 p.m. Lyssa and I started to chat. As usual in these waking up hours I don’t recall much of the conversation but what I do recall is that Lyssa advised me she had something to tell me but it was better if she told me when she got home.
Gathering that Lyssa was just trying to get back at me when I didn’t tell her about the Nintendo surprise I just went along with it thinking it wasn’t anything. Lyssa also informed me that Jermaine called her last night seeing how she was doing and somehow the conversation turned onto Devon. Lyssa then told Jermaine how much she loathes Devon for being his obsessive self.
Finishing our conversation after a couple of minutes I woke myself up and then wondered if it would be a good idea to head to Campbelltown to run errands or to leave it for the next day. Tossing a coin on whether I would go to the Gym late or not go to Campbelltown at all, I decided on Campbelltown.
Banking and Gridiron Plans
Donning some clothes and having something simple to eat I left around 2:30 p.m. and within 45 minutes I was down there. Firstly I made my way to the Commonwealth Bank where I stood in the inquiry line for at least 20 minutes. There were only two people in front of me and plenty behind me and yet, there was only one person assisting. Most of the people thought this was a joke as I did but my stern and quiescent glance showed no emotion.
Finally my turn was up and for the next couple of minutes I had my keycard and MasterCard exchanged for newer cards as they had now expired. When this was all finished I made a deposit of $20 into my bank account to tie me over until my next payment arrived on Monday for the Credit Card.
There is probably only two more payments left before I am asked to produce my booklet for Mutual Obligation and as you all know, I haven’t been doing a thing to help me in their quest to have that booklet completed. For that reason I will be off pay for a while and right when I had a bill to pay, great shoes to buy and a football game to attend.
Oh yeah, there is a Pre Season American Gridiron game headed down to Homebush’s huge stadium. They will be playing a preliminary game and Shawn, Tatton, Jett and I will be buying tickets on Monday to be part of the five thousand strong crowd that are also buying tickets. The event will be staged in April and I will be looking forward to it.
