Chest Day Grind
Chest: Beginning with a warm-up of two minutes on the bike I made my way to the Peck Deck Fly’s Machine but after stretching considerably I knew I was in for a tough day. After some warming up on a lying Fly’s machine I started on the Peck Deck Fly’s with 170 pounds just managing to complete 15 reps. Moving now to Dips I was fortunate enough to only complete 12 reps. From there I moved to Machine Bench Press and with 180 pounds I completed 6 reps. It didn’t feel like anything was working so after a little while I put down the weight to 160 pounds to just complete 10 reps.
Moving back to Peck Deck Fly’s with 140 pounds I completed 12 fairly easy reps. Moving now to Incline Dumbbell Curls with 55 pounds I tried to complete a set but stopped myself at around 8 reps because I didn’t have the will power to push any further. Pullovers with 70 pounds was next and with this I performed 10 reps. Moving to my last two sets on Cable Crossovers I loaded the weight with 50 pounds and performed 12 reps. Pushing the weight up to 60 pounds I bent over and done another 10 reps.
Biceps and a Phone Call
Biceps: Starting with a small warm up with dumbbells I made my way to the Preacher Cable Curls and putting on 60 pounds I managed 7 reps. Moving now to Dumbbell Preacher Curls I found it tough to find right form with 35 pounds but I came out with 10 reps per hand. Moving now to Concentration Curls I performed 10 reps with 30 pounds and that was basically it.
For the rest of the night I was just mucking around on my computer and just as I started to type my new entry for the month Ralf decided to give me a call. Basically he said “Come out the front, I’m going to be there in a second, I have something to show you” and as he did I turned off my computer and made my way out. The surprise wasn’t a something but indeed a someone, it was Preston.
A Surprise Named Preston
Ralf had been talking about not having seen Preston for the last month or so and I gather that because he was talking about Preston to me he thought he would bring him over and showcase him. The both of them walked up to my front door with me and I invited the both of them in but they had to get somewhere.
Preston and I weren’t the best of friends and I’m not sure what Ralf was hoping for when he brought Preston to my house but it wasn’t a reunion type event. Sure I dig Preston and Wilfrid but as far as throwing my hands around him and crying went, I was on the other end of that stick.
Preston kept looking at my upper body as I had my shirt off and near the end he commented on how big I was now and tried to flex his arm muscles. They left pretty much after that and what was funny about their departure was that Preston hurried Ralf up. Everyone knows that Ralf talks too much but seeing his brother have enough sense to pull him away, it was funny.
Free Verse About Beauty
Now the time draws close to 11:25 p.m. but let me just say that I’ve been pussy-whipping around not doing much damage in my diary. In that time of repose I did come up with another four lines of poetry with a nine syllable ruler but no rhyme. Rather, this is a free verse poem, one that I haven’t written since the days of the lost years and a certain controversial poem in general, figure it out. This poem on the other hand speaks figuratively of my will to hold onto another’s beauty dearly as if it was all the worth in my hand. Thus, let my free verse poetry begin…
If all your beauty was but a coin,
I would to my palm eagerly hold,
Ne’er this hand shall your flourished worth part,
This worth, that I spend wisely upon,
Aches and a Broadway Plan
Now, to conclude where I left off I must inform the reading public (If there will ever be one) and myself that the pains in my Chest have subsided and is well-nigh of disappearing. The only problem is that I started to feel a little bit of the same kind of treatment in my left arm this time around. To explain it bluntly, it feels like a tiny tickling sensation through your muscle which also feels like it hasn’t been stretched at all.
Now after my little visit from Ralf on Monday night there was nothing after that in the form of communication with anyone. Rather, the computer until the early hours of the morning was my source of communication. Apart from playing some ‘Vikings’ and typing I watched a bit of television and whilst seeing the Broadway musical called ‘Rent’ on a commercial I once again thought it be a good idea to head there with Lyssa. The plan had already surfaced some nights ago but considering it’s moving to Melbourne in a months time Lyssa and I should get out and see it in the next two weeks.
Errand Day Begins
Now to speak about today and all the events that have taken place. Today was a fairly lively day and I did get out and do a lot of little errands that will tie me up for the next couple of days and keep me happy. Firstly let me just mention that Ralf decided to give me a call around midday today and considering that was a little early for me I didn’t care that much.
Ralf was home for the day because he didn’t go to work and he wanted to help me get my Proof of Identification card so I felt I should get up. So with that telephone conversation Ralf told me he would only be ten minutes before coming to my house so I didn’t bother to eat that much but only to get dressed. Ralf took his time getting to my house but when he finally arrived we made our way to Campbelltown.
Waiting at the RTA
Intent was Ralf to head out to the RTA for my Proof of Identification card but I was more eager to get something to eat. So for that we made our way to Macdonald’s where I ordered the original Big Mac and an orange juice for health. Making our way to the RTA from there I ate my food outside on the back of the car as Ralf walked inside to get me a ticket. Once my food was finished we made our way through the sliding doors and sitting ourselves down we realized we weren’t too far in the line.
After a couple of minutes my name was called out so I made my way to the desk and applying for my Proof of Identification card they gave me some stuff to fill out. Once that was complete I headed back and with my hair in a ponytail for the photo they took a photo with their high tech digital camera. They once again asked me to smile but I tried pulling an uncaring face hoping I would look as faithful as the other photo had been to me. Crossing my fingers as the lady handed over my card I was shocked at how old fashioned it looked and worse, the picture of me.
Apart from being smaller than it should have been in the little box it was also blurry, glossy and it made my face look puffy. The clothes I was wearing made me look like a shot from years ago and the face I was pulling was halfway from smiling to being quirky. On top of that it appeared that I had my head slightly tilted to the side and to make matters worse my hair that was in a ponytail was more bunched up on one side. So the tilt of my head looked as if I had part of my hair airbrushed out of the picture, terrible.
Comparing this photo to the one done a year or more back I must say that my face is chubbier and I’ve lost that killing edge. Nowadays I just look bloated despite heading out to the Gym but back then I was lean in the face and for that I was less of a sight to laugh at. Now my body is coming back to me and I hope that with some time and probably some more exercise like riding the bike I will lose the chubby appearance in my face and get it all back.
Shirt Shopping and Bills
From the RTA we headed up to Macarthur Square where we checked out Jermaine Jermaine’s Jeans and in there I picked out the black shirt with the white V Neck and white arm stripes. Picking out a small I found it didn’t hug as much as the other one did but I bought it anyway. Putting on my shirt as we walked back to Ralf’s car our next destination was Campbelltown so I could pay off my bill.
Parking in the Mall’s parking area we made our little journey to the Telstra shop and in line I waited for a fair while. Ralf was outside talking to whom I think was Andy’s brother and when I came out we greeted and a couple of minutes later we were on our way. Heading back towards the car we met up with Vedat at the front entrance to the mall and as we chatted and he found out we were headed to the library he thought to come along.
At first he was acting as if he had to be somewhere else so Ralf and I walked towards the car but as we were just about to jump in the car I had seen Vedat running towards us and gathered he also wanted to be at the library. So the three of us jumped in and off we were to the library.
