Missing Fonts at the Library
Ralf was there to use the internet and considering he was going to head out to Liverpool to use them I thought this was a much better option. Vedat also wanted to use the internet but myself, I wanted to use the Word Processor to print out my Resume. There were no bookings except for one and Ralf was first in and best dressed.
Despite him booking it for an hour both myself and Vedat booked for when he finished as there were two openings. Although I booked myself I had no intention of paying for my copies and as person by person was called of their computers having run out of time I jumped on to each one. The first computer I jumped onto allowed my file to be displayed but I was pissed off that it didn’t have any Brush Script text.
That meant the top part of my resume would come out all blocky and I didn’t want that. Instead, I tried more computer and each one that I tried had the worst selection of fonts I have come across. It was apparent by the end of a long search that none of the computers had what I wanted.
Ralf Chats While a Kid Arrives
Vedat was also in the room watching Ralf use the internet. What I found funny is that Ralf looked under Perspex first and then his important day on the web turned out to be the rest of his time on a chat line. Vedat seemed to jump onto the computer next to Ralf as two girls (One who was decent looking and blonde) jumped off and left. Then there was this little kid who must have been around ten years old who came into the room and sat on the computer to the right of Ralf.
He was a loud little boy when he spoke normally and something told everyone in that room that he was going to be some sort of trouble. Well, watching him use a computer wasn’t a joke but a pity to his obvious lack of knowledge or brains. For half an hour he sat there trying to type and getting frustrated with the computer every second minute for not doing what he wanted it to. He asked me for some help with picking a font and I know he wasn’t trying to be rude when asking but his loud voice echoing in the room and his over the top politeness was pretty crude.
A Loud Little Typist
In half an hour the only words that this kid had on the screen was the two word title and a word or two on the next line. You would think that once this boy pressed the return button or the backspace button he would learn to do it again and again but he was pretty lame on the keyboard. He called someone from the support desk to help him out but the guy didn’t look like he knew much either. Either this or he just didn’t want to help the kid out because he was being a little too loud without knowing it.
He started getting frustrated once again with the computer and blatantly calling out loudly exactly what he was doing. His cynicism led him to say things like “Press the space bar, YES, now press the return button, YES, now, oh why’d it do that!” The kid obviously had no brains and I thought to ridicule his knowledge somewhat by disguising myself in my bid to help him. “Do you want me to fix that problem for you,” I asked the kid and as he agreed I pressed the keyboard shortcut for undo twice and he was back to where he started from, two lines.
Seeing that my knowledge had potential he tried to ask me in his polite but loud way for some help but I acted as if I didn’t know much and told him to get the person behind the desk. It was around this time that he started being a bit more obnoxious in his nature and everyone in the room was either laughing at him or wishing he would shut up so they could get some work done. It was like he was the little brat of the room and because he was now in society we couldn’t do nothing to maim him.
Taking Pity and Typing
When the help desk guy left he pleaded once again that I help him and after saying no and then hearing him get obnoxious with the computer screen I thought to step in. “Do you want me to type it for you,” I asked him and as he politely said yes I stepped in as he stepped out. Seeing that the piece of paper was in fact set out in a poetical form where each first letter of a line represented a larger meaning I wrote it out accordingly. Everything was centered, the heading was larger and underlined and to fit it onto a full page I had it all spaced accordingly.
The kid was happy with me and was amazed at how fast I was typing but as he was only a little brat kid I thought to keep my conversation at his level. Making him a colored border and then some other fancy stuff for him I had it printed out for him and after plenty of thanking me he left the room and everyone was somewhat gladdened.
Peace and a Chat Line
Ralf finally had his peace and as I sat with him we both had our turns on the web. Vedat decided to leave after he received a call from somewhere and as he did I occupied myself on the computer that the kid jumped off. Hooking myself up to the Internet I tried to jump onto the same chat line Ralf was on and I succeeded.
The only problem was that the guy came in and told me someone else was going to use the computer so I jumped up and sat once again with Ralf. After chatting to some girl from Australia and then some try hard from America that thought talking about his gun and how Australia being an upside down world was cool. Ralf soon had to jump off himself and as the time was nearing 5:00 p.m. we left for home.
Dropped off around 5:00 p.m. at my house I started to watch the news and then had myself something to eat. Watching more television upon television I thought to turn on my computer and in turn to begin playing ‘Vikings’ again. When the time finally arrived to almost be 8:00 p.m. I started upon the Diary and since then have been typing away. Now I am glad to say that the time is 12:21 a.m. and I am practically finished the chronology to be completely up to date but I have some more things of late to talk of.
Airport Tears
Lyssa didn’t get home tonight until around 9:30 p.m. and the reason for that was that she had to head down to the Airport with Nikita and Milton to pick up Janice who had been on holidays for a fairly long time. Lyssa informed me on the phone tonight that she was overwhelmed with excitement and tears at the airport as it was her most loved place. Viewing a guy seeing his two year old son for what seemed to be an age made Lyssa cry.
Picking up Janice there was a full car heading back home and I gather that Lyssa would have sat in the front with Milton as Nikita and Janice could talk. While Lyssa and I were talking she also noted that Penelope got the job at her work. That sent raw nerves running up my spine as I resented Lyssa doing any favors for Penelope but that’s the way it is.
During our call Penelope called up and Lyssa told me she would call me back and did so but only for a minute and that was it. Penelope sees Lyssa on the train to work everyday anyway but now they’re going to be seeing a lot more of each other.
Merrin Wants a Number
Around 10:30 p.m. I received another call from Merrin following up her pursuit for my brother’s number in Queensland. Telling her that I would call back in a minute I walked upstairs to get the number off dad and then after mum told me not to give the number over I showed no care for the brother I loathe and gave the number anyway.
It appears that Eric is up in Queensland and living with a girl and him receiving a call at 11:00 p.m. from one of his past lovers probably wont go too smoothly with his missus but who am I to care. I’m just passing along the buck and it’s definitely not stopping at me.
Now with my day all talked of an my night finished up I have none more to say but I hope that in my next couple of hours I will show further poetical talent. This poem that I started on the last day of January about death and me feeling the aftermath must be finished and I shall to my best tonight with the mind set that I have now. It doesn’t seem that this poem can be an attractive best of mine so I might as well try and make as much sense as I can as soon as I can before the concept completely disappears from my mind.
