Our Prank Radio Station
With Ralf constantly wanting to know what we could do I turned on the microphone for the computer and then hooking it up to the telephone we proposed to pretend we were a new radio station opening up in the Campbelltown area. Ralf thought this was a great idea and as we brought down my tape deck from upstairs for props and I typed up a script for us to say we got ourselves started. The idea was for us to fade down a song that would be playing in the background and pretend we have called someone who is now on air.
Most of the people we called froze when we told them we were the radio station that rings up people and asks for requests instead of the other way around and they simply just hung up. There were a couple of people that went along with our little skit including a Greek lady that just went off at us but all in all I saved four audio files to my computer. Here is part of the script we used for use in the future.
Radio Pranks Down the Line
“Okay that was Snoop Dogg with Bow Wow Wow and a can of Whoop Ass. Hi this is Bobby D on the LBC, and this is M I C here with me, You’re listening to the ‘Control Room’, that’s 93.7 on your FM dial, The latest radio station on the airwaves. We’re the radio station that plays the best and asks for requests.
Hello who’s on the line…” On top of that we also include some extra bonus shit after our second caller, that being… “Okay, “ *** “ for a gift certificate to No regrets lingerie store at Miranda Westfield, you have to be able to say this tongue twister Brought to you by my man M I C. If you can say Peter Piper picked a pack of pickled peppers Within 10 seconds that’s what you’ll win.”
The second part being “Now, “ *** “ You will receive another $30 gift voucher, compliments of HMV records any store in Sydney if you can guess the type of music that we play, here in the control room.” And to end that jaunt we had “Stay on the line and we’ll get your details. But for now, our next song here is Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean at the Control Room on 93.7 FM.” People actually fell for our shit and our American style voices and I really believe that we had some people checking the airwaves after we called them.
Lyssa Rings at a Bad Time
During our little exploits on the phone lines I received a call from Keith who later came over and joined in on the laughs whilst watching the cricket between takes. Also during our little performance I received another call but this time I took the microphone off the phone knowing it would be Lyssa. The time was 9:30 p.m. and when I answered the phone I was right with my assumption.
Lyssa called me at 6:00 p.m. that Tuesday and now without her usual confidence she chatted to me but knew straight away that I was with someone. For that reason she let me go but she commented on how I didn’t have to be rude to her. I couldn’t help being myself in how I get when people are around on my conversations but I tried being courteous to Lyssa in telling her that I would give her a call earlier on Wednesday.
Poets and Publishers
The time ticked over to around 10:30 p.m. and Ralf thought it was time for him to head home and get some sleep. When he did Keith watched some more cricket as I ate but in that time he told me some interesting facts. Noah being the poet and before leaving for the navy sent one of his poems (I think called ‘Heat’) to all the major publishers hoping to get it circulated.
Well, one of the publishers accepted his poem to get printed and Keith informed me that if Noah got a couple more going then he would quit the navy. The poem I don’t think doesn’t have any metric system but I wouldn’t mind getting a hold of it to see what I am against. For a little while it put a damper on my poetry thinking that he was probably much more flowing with his wording and figurative speech but then again, I haven’t given my poetry the publisher’s test.
The Borrowed Movie Saga
When watching television was over we jumped in his car and on the way to wherever I asked Keith to drive to his house so I can get back my movie. Keith could see my persistency and he called Binh. That got me wondering why but I soon found out that Keith lent my movie to Binh on Monday night because he heard me and Keith talking about it when we visited Pizza Hut.
The funny thing is that Keith informed me that in the couple of months he borrowed the movie he never got the chance to see it. If Keith expects me to believe that bogus story then he must think I’ve been pulling my dick as much as he supposedly hasn’t over my movie. So we drove to Binh’s house to see if I could get my movie back for the night but as he came out around 11:30 p.m. he asked if he could lend it just for one night.
So I let Binh borrow the movie for a night hoping that the same won’t eventuate with what happened to my camera. Binh gave me back my movie on Wednesday anyway, while I was chatting on the phone to Lyssa. He was also funny to inform me that he gave the movie a thumbs down, like I really care what he thinks.
Hunting for the Missing Loan
Driving to Shawn’s house to pick him up Keith gathered he would be at home bored shitless and he was right. Even before we drove down the street Shawn was out the front looking to see what car it was. He ran down to the car in a joyous fashion and finding out we were there to pick him up he pranced back to his house and got ready to fill up the void of the day. Once picking Shawn up we headed out to look for Simon who still owes Keith $150 but it seems that everywhere we looked we couldn’t find him.
Keith called Simon but the conversation lasted a couple of seconds with Simon saying “I can’t talk to you right now” and then hanging up. Keith tried to call him for the rest of the night but Simon always found a way to either have no service or hang up the phone when it started ringing. Simon was being cheeky alright and he was also being evasive as we couldn’t find him. Keith was plotting to steal his phone and pay off the debt if he didn’t get the money and as we drove to his house where Lucas was already asleep we called his dad’s mobile phone.
Asking if he was home at his dad’s house he said yes and as he went to get Simon I handed the phone to Keith. He contemplated whether to talk with Simon or not but ended up hanging up the phone. His excuse was that he didn’t want to talk with Simon while his dad was around because he would tell him to do things that were more evasive like simply not paying. Upset that our night of searching had come to a halt I asked for Keith to drop me off home and that’s what he did, he dropped me off first.
A Quiet Tuesday Without Her
So Lyssa didn’t get to talk almost at all on my Tuesday because I was at the beach when she first rang and then I was with Ralf and Keith when she rang the second time. Upon hanging up the phone for our only brisk conversation for Tuesday I felt a sense of emptiness knowing that I wouldn’t get another chance. Even when I went out to have fun I felt that sense of emptiness and was counting down the minutes hoping I would get home earlier but after midnight I just thought to give up.
You could even take it to the extreme in saying we’re now even as Lyssa didn’t even bother to call me on Friday and if it wasn’t for me heading out to Ettamogah Pub I wouldn’t have seen her. Anyway, for Tuesday night I didn’t get to sleep until 4:00 a.m. in the morning but it didn’t really matter that I went to sleep an hour earlier then normal because I woke up on the floor at 2:30 p.m.
Taking Stock in the Mirror
Now I only have my most recent day in chronology to talk about and that’s the day just past, Wednesday. Before I note about that let me just inform my Diary my thoughts about my body. Looking in the mirror full starkers I noted that my skin was so gently formed, so tight. My Chest was great, my abs were great, my arms and back were splendid.
Posing front on and my side pose made me look great also but the problem was with my back side pose and my tan. Starting with my tan I am much darker in the upper body up to my pants line. That is because I spend much time in the sun and now I’ve developed a tanned upper body and a white butt and legs. If you look at me from behind I will look like cellulite city but the thing is I have none.
Looking in the mirror my buttocks have dimples in them, there is no shape to my butt and my hamstring area is just atrocious. Apart from the many lines of stretch marks and the ingrown hair as well as abundance of it my hamstring area had the dimpling effect also. For that reason that my back shot is the only ugly portrait of my body I’ve decided to include some leg exercises in my up-and-coming gym visits. Each gym day I will incorporate one or two sets for the legs be it for strength or just for toning, I will have it done and I have already started.
Time for Sleep and Sonnets
Well, the time has just passed 7:00 a.m. and you are probably asking yourself what the heck am I doing on this computer for so long an hour but look back on all the pages I’ve created and you will understand. So for that I must get myself some sleep but before I do just two things to mention. Chronology for the sake of Wednesday has been caught up to and when it is my poetical hand came come back to me.
The second thought is that besides the fact of my latest Sonnet being created in such a mental block I really liked it. Now I think I’ve created eight Sonnets this month and that’s nothing compared to the dozen or so last month but don’t forget, I’ve created short list poems as well. That includes poems from as little as four lines to as big as eight lines but not enough to create a Sonnet. Anyway, I have to get to sleep before I nod off so I guess I’ll be back here soon…
