Crumbed Fish After the Gym
With my Gym now newly over I walked in the rain again so that I could head down to the shops and buy myself a crumbed fish. The line was fairly long as it was lunchtime for most working people. That didn’t bother me as I patiently waited and in a couple of minutes I was off and walking back home. Hiding the food with my towel so that it wouldn’t get wet I made my way home and began digging in. It was around this time that I found out Keith had called my house so I gave him a call to see what he wanted.
Ringing his mobile phone he explained how he wanted to go up to Macarthur Square to get Binh some pants for his birthday and after explaining that I wanted to check out the bike shop we decided to do both. However, I was in the middle of eating so I told him to pop over in about fifteen minutes. Keith gave me plenty of time to eat and in half an hour he popped over. Coming in while I got myself ready we headed out to his car where I brought my jacket because it was cold.
Checking Out the Bike Shop
Keith had the intention of visiting the link while I was at the bike-shop so he dropped me off out the front of the shop and then made his way to the parking for the link. This shop that was near the link I feel was a much better shop to do business with. The shop was set up for better customer roaming and the people there were rewarding to my needs.
Therefore, while in the shop I asked them all the questions about my bike, found out what I needed, what prices to spend and finally told them that I would bring in the bike within a week or two. They only charge $30 for fees and on top of that they can fix the buckle in my front rim for only $20 as well as the scratches, oil change, links on the chain, you name it.
All up it might cost me around $65 and then I would like to buy a bike pump, little bike bag and some bike wear. Next fortnight’s pay will be when I get the bike back on the road and the fortnight after that will be when I finally get all the extra parts I need. Thanking them for their assistance I made my way to the link.
Job Hunting at the Link
Lining myself up on the job-finding computer right next to Keith I searched for various types of jobs. Firstly I looked under laboring positions but I soon realized that I was long from the industrious workload of erstwhile years and it no longer appealed to me. Hence, I started looking under my favored topic of Word Processing and in the excitement I found two equally great jobs. When I am finished writing this diary entry I will think about giving them both a call as I need to get some money and a job is the best way to do that.
Keith also found himself a job and eager to apply we made our way to the free phone in the link. Keith called the offices as I sat down and enjoyed my relaxation and the soapies that were on television. When Keith was done with his phone call he decided a fax of his résumé was in order. For that we headed to his car where he took out his resume and then we headed back inside where he faxed it through to the company. There was a lady upset that the fax wasn’t working and we’re not sure if it worked for us but I’m certain it all went smoothly.
Sneaking Into The Craic
Heading back to Keith’s car our next little adventure led us to Macarthur Square where Keith had to exchange the pants for Binh’s birthday as noted. However, parking at the cinemas and then walking through we noticed that there were no ticket collectors standing around so we decided to sneak into a movie. While on the way to Macarthur Square we were talking about ‘The Craic’ and how we both thought it would be a good movie to watch and guess what, that’s what we snuck in to see.
Once in there Keith walked back outside to buy himself a drink and something to eat inside. Sitting back as the movie started I enjoyed the humor and the jokes. The movie was so Australian and when they had the outdated dating game and the first scene where the aboriginal guy spots Jimeoin, it was a crack up. The movie despite being low budget was pretty good to watch, it had the entertainment and I did indulge in it.
Pants at Macarthur Square
When the movie was finished we made our way through ‘Fun n Games’ to ‘Harris Scarf’ where Keith had to exchange the pants. However, while in there Keith couldn’t find pants that were a smaller size and thus, Binh obviously had to stick with what he had. From Harris Scarf we walked around Macarthur Square walking into a couple of shops.
Keith checked out a phone shop to see what phone deals there were (Despite the fact that he bought himself a new phone yesterday) and I walked into a clothing shop to try on an oversized jumper with a neck top (Keeps the neck warm). Soon we were finished with looking around Macarthur Square so we made our way back to the car.
Wishing Binh Happy Birthday
Stuck with what to do Keith suggested that we head to Binh’s bakery shop so that we could wish him a happy birthday. This sounded fine with me as we headed over there and both of us shook his hand to wish him happy birthday. Keith helped himself to some rolls of bread as he talked to Binh about what he wanted to do for the night. The plan as I heard was that they were headed to the Catholic Club to have dinner, head to Molly’s and then to some other place I can’t remember.
For a second Binh was going to invite me but I had no money to spare and besides that, I wanted to get to sleep early as usual. Keith then started talking about Saturday night and what was supposedly happening. Binh sounded like he didn’t really want to reveal what the plans were for the night because I was around but they talked about it anyway. The actual plans for Saturday night aren’t certain to me but the best bet is that they are headed up to Gosford.
At one stage Keith and I headed next door to the pub so that Keith could gamble some money in hopes to win more for the night but he lost his $15. There were a couple of times where he was ahead but some bad guessing and he was heading down in the stakes.
There were times where I was his good luck charm but that quickly faded. Having lost his money we headed back to Binh’s shop where I bought myself a Swiss Roll Cake and began eating the large sucker. Keith and Binh deliberated upon their night some more and when all was done we jumped back in the car and it was time for me to head home.
Another thing to add before we begin chronology from being dropped off home, involving Binh’s Saturday night party. He’s thinking to invite Phoenix and only on the grounds that he wants to get a root from her. If he’s actually going to get her invited or not is another thing but I will be a bit pissed off if she accepts and she’s supposed to be engaged to her new boyfriend.
A Quiet Night In
When at home on Thursday night I began watching television and around 8:00 p.m. I received a call from Shawn. Obviously he wanted to know what I was doing for the night but for the sake of sleeping and wanting to have an early night I declined any offers, as I would have with anyone else.
From that phone call I just relaxed and when it neared 9:00 p.m. my eyes started to get tired. It wasn’t too long after that time that I decided to shut my eyes, turn off the lights and get myself to sleep. Early in my sleep my neck started to give me aches so for the rest of the night I slept on the floor, which dealt me no hassles.
Cream and Job Calls
Today I woke up at 6:30 a.m., which is nothing new. Eight hours to me is the nominal sleeping time I should endure, no more, no less. Since I’ve been awake I’ve started typing on this Diary, I’ve had something to eat, watched television and I’ve been down to the shops. Having the urge to buy myself some Vitamin E Cream for my growing stretch mark on my arm I began my little traipse. Not being there for very long I bought myself what I believe to be the stronger cream called ‘DAL-E Cream’ and then made my way back home and onto this computer.
The time now is 10:05 a.m. and when I jump off I will think to call those prospective employers for an interview on Monday and then Keith to see if he still wants to head to the link to do another job-search. Like I noted, tonight will be a night for reminiscence, for philosophy and musing so be tuned in the next entry.
Where all my little thoughts that have been growing this month will be written out, explained and deciphered. Before I leave let me just note that my tooth again has that internal heartbeat thing going on. Fearing that the enlarging hole will eventually cause me pain, I’m taking better care of my teeth, brushing them on every available occasion…
