Parramatta Shopping and a Call from Lyssa (Part 1) – Mad Chaos: October 3, 1998

Timing is certainly essential these days and today, Lyssa had impeccable timing. For the whole day I was at Parramatta, Jett came over right after that and just leaving five minutes ago I was called by Lyssa. Very quiet was Lyssa on the other side of the phone as it was late in the night. Lyssa asked how I was, how my night was and then if I was thinking of calling her lately. Because we had that petty hang up fight two or three nights ago we didn’t call each other and this was Lyssa’s time. To redeem myself I told Lyssa I would have called her on Sunday after my beach visit.

Informing Lyssa how I was in Parramatta for most of the day and had bought my clothes Lyssa told me how she got back paid $900 from work. In fact, everyone was back paid since July as there was a 5% increase in pay for everyone, including her brother. So Lyssa was ecstatic and buying herself some pants that come just past her knees (Like the one’s Tessa Minogue wore for her recent concert) and heaps of other shit that she didn’t really need. Now Lyssa has money to save for her trip to Bali, she’s definitely there.

Lyssa told me how she was just at Kiley’s house tonight for a barbecue. Kiley’s parents weren’t home so she thought she would have a get together and that’s when I informed Lyssa that I might also be having one this weekend at Simon’s house, but I don’t think that will happen. Sounding somewhat sad Lyssa told me that she was still worried about being pregnant and once again I boasted the probability of her being pregnant. There is only a minute chance Lyssa could become pregnant because I withdrew way before Lyssa could have felt any of me. Still, her whole nightie was drenched in my semen so there could be a small possibility. Lyssa’s mum had come home so only after five minutes of conversation Lyssa had to hang up the phone. A little upset at the fact we only talked for five minutes we said goodbye and the next I will talk to her will probably be on Sunday. That will happen if Jett and I don’t visit the beach again but I doubt that will happen as Jett is becoming hooked on Min-Su.

Waking up Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. I once again had a sore neck. Walking straight upstairs I had myself some yogurt to eat and then coming back down with a towel had a shower. As my body dripped with water I dried myself with that towel and then headed for my room to prepare myself. Time passed and as the clock ticked to 10:30 p.m. I headed out. With my wallet in my pocket and bike clock in my other pocket I made my arduous walk in the sweltering heat. Reaching Campbelltown I made my way to the bank and using the automatic tellers out the front tried to take my money out. Shock adorned my face as I learnt that I couldn’t take $350 out and was hoping I wouldn’t walk home empty handed. Checking the balance I was surprised to only find $320 so taking that out with less enthusiasm I restructured my spending habit.

Jumping onto the first train available after ten minutes of waiting I caught that to Leumeah and jumped off to a ticket machine that was open. Gathering my ticket I waited once again and then next train was to Parramatta. Not remembering much of the train trip I only remember arriving at Parramatta at midday. Gracefully stepping through the ticket machine I made my entrance to Westfield Shopping. To be nice to long and lengthy paragraphs, I shopped for the next three hours and in that time bought these items… Deep Baby Blue Grandfather Collared Shirt where the buttons can’t be seen, a lighter duller blue for wearing with any work pants, $100 clean as polished speeches, a beach towel and some cool water cologne.

Entering detail now, the first item I thought of buying was the light, dull blue shirt. Perusing through a men’s wear shop I was attracted to some shirts and as the guy came along to give me some help I tried on two of the shirts, liked one and told him I would be back later in the day if I was happy with my pick. Swimming around the center some more I came across another shop, quite small but it sold a vast range of work-wear. This is where I noticed the baby blue shirt similar to the one I already had but the only difference, instead of having a collar it was a Grandfather Collar design. Trying this shirt on with some trousers I really liked it and despite having the exact same color at home I bought it. For most of the day I was looking at baby blue shirts and almost bought a second one but lucky for me I didn’t. Next I ventured to a shoe store and personally picked out some very sophisticated and smart looking shoes. Maybe I would have preferred shoes less shiny and perfect in their color of black but I chose the best.

Out of the work clothes shopping I made my way to ‘David Jones’ and once again venturing I came across the perfume section. Knowing that I wanted to buy perfume I noticed a girl there, my age, with more brown hair than blonde who was serving. After ten minutes with another customer (Who was an old lady) she came up to me and I asked to try some ‘Cool Water’ and some other brands. After talking with her about perfume and then trying some on I thanked her for her time and made my way downstairs to where I heard they sold beach towels. For half an hour I walked back and forth until I finally made a decision to buy a beach towel for $35, pretty steep. Well, the towel is to my choice and is lime green in color which is pretty cool. In my mind I was thinking to buy a sand yellow color so I would fit in with the beach but I thought it would be best to buy lime green.

Having bought a towel I only had enough money left to buy board shorts for swimming or to buy perfume for myself. Thinking of the latter option I made my way back up the escalators and decided to try the perfume one more time. The girl once again served me and this time we tried about eight different perfumes before I finally chose ‘Cool Water’. The downer about this is that I wasn’t getting a spray on version but a splash on cologne version which was cheaper. That didn’t really bother me as long as it works, but it only works for three hours. When I get myself a job this month I’m going to buy some better cologne, some contact lenses, some more suits, more clothes and save for a car.

Having now bought everything I could I was happy carrying around four bags in my hand, looking like a super shopper and feeling good about myself. Walking out of the shopping complex my mind waved goodbye to all the good looking girls inside and heartily greeted the very warm weather outside. The sun, even though behind clouds had reached 28 degrees today. When the sun comes up today the roast will be set over 32 degrees, cool aye. This afternoon is going to be a scorcher and I’m going to be in the midst of it, at the beach with my green towel, absorbing the sun, getting a tan and living the single life. How fun is that, nothing to dampen my life right now as I don’t have anything there.

The train trip home was tranquil and upon arriving in Campbelltown with $10 left I wondered if I should catch a bus home. That thought was quickly taken out of my mind as the bus departed for Bradbury and I wasn’t on it. Instead, I walked the sun’s Tatton’s into the heart of Campbelltown, bought myself a drink and then headed home on foot. Nothing special happened on the way home and as soon as I stepped into my door I dropped the luggage, stripped down and had something to drink. Thirst was playing my throat and still having a bit of a snotty nose I started blowing. Asking my mum to be a Receptionist, there were calls and no one had dropped over. That was rather disappointing and so I decided to give Jett a call to see if he was still coming over.

Picking up within two rings he answered “Yep” and that’s when our collaboration of words started. Instantly Jett told me he was coming over with the Play Station within half an hour so we hung up the phone and I prepared. Well, I didn’t really prepare, just had something to eat and waited. Jett told me that he was supposed to be called later to go out with Min-Su and Tatton to the City. Min-Su was playing a game as far as I know. Instead of having herself invite Jett to the City she had Tatton call Jett up to see if he wanted to come. Min-Su was being childish once again with her plights and for that Jett felt not like going. Jett only wanted for Min-Su to ask him to the City, not Tatton for Min-Su. From what I heard, Min-Su really wanted Jett to go to the City, if she did she should have asked herself.

Just before Jett came over I kept myself occupied with the thought of doing some weights before my next session which will most probably be on Monday. So, heading to my bar of weight I added 40 pounds to it’s total and started with a warm-up on Biceps and a 20 pound plate. When that was done (And with the same weight throughout) I done two sets of Bicep Curls and two sets of Overhead Press. When the sweat was finished and I had wiped my face from perspiration due to the heat withheld in the room, I was finished.
