Just after that little show Ralf and Keith came back and minutes later this girl came dancing near us with her guy friend. Ralf and I were closest to her and as we turned in her direction she also turned towards us and she was noticeably having more fun dancing with us. Looking in her eyes I gave her a smile and she smiled back at me. That glare was held for a couple of seconds as I noticed how hot this girl was that we were dancing with. I’m not sure exactly what she was wearing but I remember she had black hair, a great nose, beautifully clean skin, a beautiful body and face. Soon after meeting with us her guy friend eased his dancing and wasn’t as confident as before. She told him to go sit down and as he walked away she danced with both Ralf and I. Bending my knees while still bopping to the beat I started to wave my hand from side to side in front of my knees implying for her to stand closer and get more intimate. Letting out a smile you could tell she wanted to but she didn’t attempt anything. Getting behind her while she was dancing I urged her to walk forward slightly moving her along with my hand on her waist. She was moving towards Ralf and as I got behind her and close to her my plan had worked, she was between Ralf and I. Getting a little closer by accident I brushed up against the back of her and she got startled and from what Ralf had seen in her eyes she was anxious. She continued to dance with us but more with Ralf and I gathered that like Lyssa in her night’s out while I was going out with her, she was only there to dance. Speaking into Ralf’s ear after some more songs she told him she was going for a drink and as polite as she came, politely she went away never to be seen again for the night and our lives.
Binh asked me for the time as the night became old and telling him it was 2:00 a.m. he took daylight savings into consideration, how long it would take to drive home and then gathered it was time to head off. Keith and Binh had to work the next day and I was upset that we had to leave early. I was having so much fun that I wanted to stay until it closed. It didn’t even feel like it was 2:00 a.m. yet, it didn’t feel like I had been dancing for three hours, more like one hour. The micro-fiber shirt that I had on had sustained the sweat from my body very well. The shirt showed no sign of sweating, not even under the arms and I was glad about that. Finally making our way out of the nightclub I glanced over the crowd one last time before departing my first great nightclub apart from ‘Colors’.
Dancing a couple of steps all the way to the front entrance I told the security guard that knew me “I’ll be back next week.” Making our way to the car I started doing handstands and flips because I was that pumped up. Undoing the buttons of my shirt to air myself out I redone the top button making me look like a Latino, like in the gangsta flicks. Thirsty as fuck we drove to a service station not too far down the road and Keith shouted me another drink. Still jiggling my legs around I boasted how great the night was and then we made plans for next week. From what I gather, the plans were to head for Liverpool RSL Club where they told me the gathering was huge.
Despite being lethargic, Ralf drove the rest of the way home disregarding Keith’s bid to drive and because of daylight savings we made it home around 4:30 a.m. There’s two things I remember about our jam packed night that I can now add. Binh and I were going sick, burning a hole in the ground with our dancing routines, we were going sick. The second thing I remember is coming out of the nightclub and my ears were ringing so much I couldn’t hear half the shit that was being said to me. As a result I was walking around a bit dazed and acting as if I was tipsy. After writing my Diary entry on Sunday morning I played the computer for a short while and then had myself some sleep, some needed sleep.
Today I woke up very late in the afternoon. Lucky for me Ralf didn’t wake me up for another early morning at the beach because I would have been fucked. Surprised was I to wake up at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon but more surprised was I that no one called me during the day. I just started writing in my Diary but what do you know, I get interrupted by a phone call. Shawn called me and asked if I would like to head for the beach. Being late in the afternoon I wondered if it would even be worth it but as he told me that Binh and a couple of other people were going I said for him to pick me up. Jumping in the car the talk was of last night and over the phone Shawn tried telling me that he also went to Penrith Panthers but I thought he was lying to make his night look better. From what Shawn had told me he drove towards Richmond with Tatton and they decided to visit Penrith Panthers for some fun. Walking around they then decided to pay their way into the nightclub, the time was 2:00 a.m. when they arrived. Seeing the stamp on his hand as I jumped in the car I knew it was true and then I tried to figure out how he didn’t see us or how long after he got there. If I had seen Shawn I probably would have stuck around for the rest of the night because they were playing R & B.
Binh was closing up the store as we approached and when he was all done his two friends jumped in his car and we headed just across the road from his Ambarvale Shop to get some petrol. Stepping out of the car I noticed another car on the other side of the petrol pumps with a pretty good looking girl in the back seat. As the two people in the front went to pay for their food I noticed she was glancing over at me so I gave her a wave and a smile. Happy to see her smile back and glance over again Shawn said I should go over and talk to her and feeling confident from last night’s ordeal I gracefully and smoothly walked my way over. Taping on the tinted windows I smiled at her inviting and shy face and gesturing for her to wind down her window she told me she can’t. The back window had no winder so instead she opened the front door. Opening the front door wide I knelt down and said “Hello” asking her where she was headed and things like that. This girl was 17 years old and eager to talk with me as she told me her HSC was starting tomorrow, she went to school at Thomas Reddall and asking her name I think she said it was Kirra. Asking if she would like to drive down to the beach with us she just smiled and told me she couldn’t her friends wouldn’t like that. Looking into the convenience store I noticed the driver who was fat and older look at me, her stare reminded me of the obnoxious stare that would come from Carleigh. As the two snobs walked back to the car and closed the doors I tapped on her window, waved her goodbye and as she waved goodbye and kept looking back while exiting I did farewell my first confident conversation.
Picking up a guy called Vedat in Binh’s car we headed for Wollongong as the sun was continually falling. On the way there I noticed Tod’s car and then Penelope’s right behind that. I gathered they had finished their barbecue day at the beach. Lyssa told me later in the day that four cars went down with her. To me it sounded like she was trying to brag about her day and make me jealous but I heard her say four cars went down with them, another Torana and a Ford Ute. Listening to Wu Tang on the way down to the beach we approached the Bulli road where it’s a steep descent. Shawn warned me that his brakes might fail going down her, should I have been worried, I think not…
Arriving at Austimere beach we parked our cars next to each other and finding the beach almost desolate of people we grabbed our towels and headed to a spot I chose, where two nice looking girls were seated. The time was 6:00 p.m. when we arrived and as soon as the towels hit the sand Binh, Vedat and the two younger guys stripped down and immediately jumped in the water. Shawn and I went to dip our feet in the water and thought that Binh and the rest of them were crazy for jumping into the freezing water.
Shawn and I made our way back to the sand that held our towels and sitting down we adored the view and the two girls that gave us reason to sit at our spot. One girl had a mad American tan and looked like she came from Hawaii or North America. She reminded me of Zola somewhat but her skin was soft, delicate and her legs and boobs were both immaculate. Still, the girl next to her was more my type and noticing her looking at me once or twice I thought to make another move like I had with Kirra. Shawn and I were once again debating on whether I should go over to them and picking myself up once or twice I sat back down to build my confidence. The sun was out, the skyline was receding and my confidence was building. That’s when I stood up and walked over to these two girls and sat next to the Hawaiian looking one.
“Hi” I uttered and receiving my reply I asked “Are you girls locals.” Receiving a nod I then asked where North Beach was and if it was down the coastline because a couple of my friends were down there having a barbecue. It was all true but while seated next to them that was all I could come up with. Never did I lose my confidence in conversation and at the end of it I found out some interesting information. Apart from the fact that the two girls have never been to the City before I found out that the Hawaiian one was 17, the other was 16 years old. The younger girl seemed interested in me as she told me she had her L’s, she tried making conversation. The younger girl was called Lotus and I can’t remember the other girls name, it escapes my mind.
