Hoping Lyssa Would Ring

From 6:30 p.m. and onwards I was just chilling, listening to music, you know the drill. Relaxing on my Saturday night, I had no intentions on going out but each time the phone rang, I was wishing it were Lyssa. Not that I became infatuated in any way but last night, we shared a commonality and I felt like I have finally broken through a barrier thanks to her.

The yearning for Lyssa to call me was continually there and now it has died down but I wasn’t too defeated when Tyler ended up being my first caller of the night. The both of us have developed a touch of bonding between us and because of my objectives and insistence to better my life, we have become better of friends. In the time that we did talk Tyler asked hopefully if I wanted to head out for the night.

Juggling Tyler And Shawn

As soon as I heard those words my mind retreated to the peace and calm that would come from staying at home tonight. However, just like after any great root, you don’t feel that instant energy to go again straight away unless you are coaxed potentially. There was no interest in me heading to a nightclub, neither in the City or around Campbelltown. However, the Catholic Club seemed appealing and as we were contemplating our plans I had someone else on call waiting. This seems to have been happening a lot lately because around the time that plans are created, I get calls.

Asking Tyler to hold I was curious to know who was on the other line, hopeful that it was my female counterpart of yesteryear. Sadly, my hopes were again abolished but not to the extent of being disobliged. Shawn wanted to know if anything was going on for the night and as I told him the options he sounded as keen as me, not too great.

Having Tyler on hold for quite a while I chatted to Shawn and then converged with Tyler and back and forth again. Seeing it a waste to have one of them hang up, I had them both wait on line so I could speak with either party about the night. It would have been great if I had call conference but that costs money and I won’t use it often enough to have it granted.

Anyway, when informing Tyler that I didn’t really feel the energy to head for Chevy’s but if he wanted to, I would have headed to the Catholic Club. Alas, I made Tyler wait once too often and when I last talked to him he told me that he didn’t want to go anywhere for the night. “I’m pissed off now” he uttered, trying to put together plans coming out to a lesser affect than what he desired.

With my conversation ended with Tyler I told Shawn the news which didn’t seem to worry him. Neither of us really had the energy to go out for a second big night in a row and frankly, I didn’t have the strong desire to come back and write such prose in these pages. It frightened me to write for another possible spectacular night, staying home was the safe option. As Shawn asked me how my night was, I tried not to sound pretentious and just told it like it was, just with a lot of happiness and self-satisfaction.

Shawn’s Night At The Cave

In some way I wanted Shawn to know I had a great time and I figure that his telling me his night was great but then depicting a different story showed his significant envy. From what I was told of Shawn’s night out, they headed to two pubs which were both Irish clubs and then from there they headed to the biggest drain of their night, ‘The Cave’. Shawn couldn’t help but to throw dirt upon the club that Ralf so persistently wanted to check out each week.

It was his mission and a stupid one at that. Basically, they played R & B all night meaning that they couldn’t get into any of it and how Shawn was dressed, he stuck out like a thumb. Ralf even noted that it wasn’t a great nightclub which gives me some satisfaction in thinking “You should have come out with us last night instead of dogging it and then dogging it again”. In a way, Shawn deserved his lesser night for being the betrayer, armed with a double edged sword.

Shawn also told me about his trip with Ralf today. “You’ll never guess where we ended up just to get something to eat” Shawn asked “Narrabeen further than we have ever been.” Unsure of where this place actually was, he told me it was near Manly, a fair, fair way away. Shawn also told me that the both of them are heading out to watch “South Park” at the movies tomorrow which gives me an impression that the makeshifts are in full effect again. Before it was me and Keith, then me and Ralf and now, me and Tyler.

For Shawn it was Tatton, then with me and now he’s switched back to Ralf, probably loathing it as much as I. Next there is Ralf who tries his dominance over everyone but probably started off with Keith, then me and now Shawn. It’s funny how the makeshift works, as if we were playing musical chairs, the chairs being newly formed acquaintances.

Catching Up On Friday

That pretty much was the end of my conversation with Shawn before we parted words and decided it be best to stay home. Since from those hours of today’s watch I have been digesting some music and from those thoughts I do come freshly prepared in mind hither. Now that Sunday is complete and the time is 9:45 p.m. I shall begin again for Friday night and once that is complete, I only have Tuesday to Friday at work to complete.

Beginning now where I concluded for Friday night, I am up to the part where I have had my last conversation for the night and am ready to meet Tyler at the Catholic Club. Wearing my reflector pants and Petersham shirt as well as my jacket from Hound Dog, I also brought along my DKNY hat and two pairs of glasses.

Heading upstairs to chat to mum in the television room she told me that dad had been sleeping for a couple of hours because he went to fishing at 6:00 a.m. in the morning and didn’t get back until the afternoon. Despite my not wanting to wake him for an easy excursion from home mum decided that his having woken up five minutes ago to have something to drink was enough.

Heading into his room she woke him up from such soft slumber and proudly, he jumped at the opportunity to give me a lift. I love my parents, they are always there when I need them but then again, when isn’t a family there for you. They always have money to spare, my dad never turns me down from a lift and they are very loving.

On the way to the Catholic Club I could feel a sense of the night turning sour but I wasn’t sure if the churning in my stomach was from a lack of food or foresight of a bad night.

Signing In At The Catholic Club

Dropped off at the top of the car park I thanked my dad and began my spirited parade to the front entrance. Leaving my house and knowing we were heading to the City, I didn’t want to take any foreign objects that would later burden me. Therefore, one of the major items I didn’t bring along was a collared shirt for the Catholic Club, hoping that my jacket would be an allowed substitution.

Wearing the zipper to the top so that it revealed the lining of the singlet ornamented by my club chain, I stood with aplomb, knowing that the smart look I was wearing wouldn’t be knocked back. Surely enough, as I showed my identification the only question I was asked was who would sign me in. Figuring that I would have to page Tyler to come see me at Reception I noticed Chí standing at Reception with one of his friends.

Waving to him as we noticed each other I walked over and started chatting with him, seeing what he was up to. “Did you know you’re brother’s down here” I remarked, “He’s sitting with us tonight”. Chí was oblivious to my utterance and as we got to chatting a little more he introduced me to his friend, a tall guy whose name I can’t remember, kind of looked like Westie. Chí is a nice guy and for that I had no anxiety asking him to sign me in as I was full of brewing confidence.

Thanking Chí as he signed me in, the three of us walked down past the pokies in our attempt to find company. “Come and sit with us later if you have nothing else to do” I offered knowing that the more, the merrier. Whence Chí found out that Tyler was sitting with us he thought in jest to sarcastically note “Tell Tyler I want him to suck my dick tonight, seriously, tell him”. Amazingly, despite it being so graphically depictive, I did forget to tell Tyler as I headed over to our table.

Bidding farewell to Chí and his friend, I made my way to the quiet room in which I was assured to see Binh and Tyler. Sure enough, it didn’t take me too great a glance to spot them on the left hand side of the door, where that blonde girl was sitting last weekend. Taking a seat with the both of them I viewed what the Catholic Club did have to offer in regards to feminine adoration.
