July 5, 2026. Afternoon until 2:10 a.m..
A mess of screens
I picked up where I left off, creating products in RevenueCat and wiring the monthly and yearly subscriptions into it. It was a complete mess of different screens. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I followed the steps. By about 5 p.m. the test webhook worked, and I attached the products to the correct main product.
The wrong index file
Then I tested the new build, and it wouldn’t let me trigger the monthly or yearly subscription. I uploaded the entire AAB file into Claude AI to examine it, and it said I had packaged a previous version of my index file. I updated it, uploaded again, and yes, it worked.
Google Play now accepts payments. I accepted a payment as a tester.
A dashboard for usage
All the usage meters have been added. You press view, and it pops up a screen with all your usage metrics, with bars that go from green down towards red as you exhaust your quota. That was really fun to see come together. The app works. I use it currently at the gym.
Live prices and an onboarding step
Before midnight I fixed the pricing. The app was showing old prices, and I wanted the live prices from Google Play. The plugin can pull them, including conversions for different countries. I also updated the website with a privacy policy and the new pricing.
Filling in the Google Play publication forms, I had to create a temporary login for a Google reviewer, and that uncovered a small bug that locked me out when switching users. Claude wrote a fix.
Seeing the four onboarding screens again, I thought there should be a fifth step where you type in at least one personal best. I’m doing some research into the most common exercises to offer there.
Marketing on a schedule
The last thing I did was set up marketing with Claude Cowork. It comes in every day as a scheduled task and fills up Buffer, and Buffer posts for me. I’m not getting much reach, one or two people viewing each post, but I’ll keep posting and see what happens.
