Money To Burn
Life is good and work is pleasant, well what more could you ask for. Well, if all the people affected within these memoirs were having just a blooming day as mine, I’d be content with life. The reason my mood brings sublime verse to these pages is that I have been wise about the wad of cash in my wallet, reserved with my attitude upon work and eating in moderation to which we now have a surplus of food at home. I now seem to have more money than I can handle, having $400 just sitting in my little hope chest awaiting expenditure patiently.
In addition, I have money to spend on little necessities that I never get around to doing and in addition, today the money from my tax cheque came through so that leaves me with a further $180 on hand to fix my bike and buy bodybuilding supplements. Nevertheless, there is no urgency to buy any of these items as the hustle and fad of buying clothes has been exceeded. I have such an abundance of money and little time to spend it. The same applies with my dietary intake.
With mum having gone shopping today, there was an abundance of food left over from last fortnight simply because I don’t eat as much as I used to. Rather, in moderation I eat, having my small breakfast, rudimentary sushi at lunch and then a cooked dinner awaiting me when coming home. I feel like I’m doing mum a favor by eating less and having her spend less time over the stove for my sake. Mum saves at least $100 a fortnight from her payments, now she can save just that little bit more.
Work was also pleasant to which I was reserved to receiving any kind of stress. The people I talked with were pleasant and again, I had an overflow of conversation poured upon many facets of my day’s work and with many people, some old, some new, some once loathed. There was no urgency at work, only content upon my completing four briefs and putting myself well back onto the road of recovery, away from another prolonged month of briefs. I won’t say that life has been superb today but, it was to say the least, refreshing.
Jett Drops In
For the short time I have been home I’ve only encountered one situation worth the mention before I begin upon my already devised plan of chronological abdication. After grabbing myself half a whole cooked pumpkin, some cakes, a mandarin and a cheese and bacon bread, I headed downstairs to fill up my stomach and begin upon these pages. However, not even sentences into my chronology, the disillusioning knock of company upon my window made me turn off my computer screen and bid open the door to Jett.
Wearing his usual dash of yellow as he rode in on his mountain bike yelling out “Nigga”, I regarded his mostly yellow Adidas jacket as looking good. “Yeah, I use it so that cars can see me on the road at night” he remarked which was a logical reason. Sitting himself down on my waterbed I started up the Playstation and chucked on ‘Driver’ as I figured he would obviously want to see the end of the game and the cheats.
Within our playing survival and the proper game with these fanciful extras we talked lightly upon skirmish to which I brought it up. Having headed to the bank on the way to the bus stop, I had just enough time to take out $180. Explaining now that I had enough money for the deposit on Friday night, he mentioned that he’s already arranged for fifteen people to be there which is a decent number so far. Chatting about work and other biz, he left a couple of minutes ago and now I am back upon my pages.
Ringing Imad About Skirmish
Seconds ago I also just gave Imad a call to which I asked if he wanted to head to skirmish with us. My relations with Imad seemed to have gained some momentum ever since he has moved out of his dad’s house and closer to mine. Having visited his house twice thus far and him having visited me once, the game isn’t over and our renewed company is only just beginning. Therefore, inviting Imad to skirmish was a relevant move, I’d love to have him there to either shoot at or side with me.
Imad also asked me again if I wanted to head out rock climbing on the weekend but with it looking so busy, we had to make some compromises. Ruling out Friday night as I’m going to be heading to Chevy’s, I made a compromise with Imad saying “If you help me buy contact lenses and then see me through to putting in my bike to get fixed, I’ll head out rock climbing with you”. “Let me sleep on it overnight” Imad uttered to both of my requests to which we then ended our conversation.
This Saturday can’t go by without my having a second opinion on contact lenses. I’ve already asked Lyssa and Imad to come along but I really think Lyssa will be preoccupied with shopping for a car as well as not being bothered to make the distance for me. In addition, if the both of them pike it then I can always favor Shawn’s opinions or one that I would rather prefer, Jett’s.
A Weekend Agenda Piles Up
Nevertheless, with my having to work up a sweat at the Gym to which I will also head down tomorrow and buy my supplements when coming home, it should be a hectic day. However, if I stick to a routine of Saturday, Wednesday, Sunday and then back to Saturday which would be three workouts a fortnight, I could be hitting the Gym on Sunday, taking another worry from my Saturday’s huge agenda. These weekends are always pumped up now with a horde of tasks to achieve, let’s see how this one fares…
The Gurgling Toilet
Just some quick notes to thought before I move on about today’s events to which I will then backtrack to Friday night. Having just had a quick shower to wash some of this sweaty residue off, sitting upon the tiles and brushing my teeth as usual, an uncanny occurrence startled me for the second time today. This morning upon having my shower, having my feet near the drain to which it was building up water underneath me, I heard from somewhere in the bathroom that bubbling noise in the water as if someone had farted under water.
Figuring that it was coming from deep within the train, I didn’t pay much heed to it but it started to irritate me after a touch of time. Tonight, just having another short shower, that same noise reoccurs causing my curiosity to stop and probe around. Taking a listen around the bathroom, I stood up and looked at the toilet bowl to which I found the culprit. There sat bubbles continuously coming up to the surface, making an exasperating noise.
Figuring that this only happened when I was having a shower, I probed some more with my suspicions and upon flushing the toilet, found the whole bowl to fill up to the brim with water. Facing an obvious problem, I found it to settle after a while to which there was less water than normal. The toilet seems to have some sort of plumbing problem, one that I have to warn dad about. However, as I wasn’t in any sort of hurry at work today or with anything else, I’ll take my time to get around to it.
Am I Really Alone
Diverging now to my most sudden thought of philosophy, the characteristics of my life. Heading home today and for the past month periodically, I’ve been trying to work out exactly what kind of person I am, what makes me, my mettle, my character and what of my lost charisma remains. I came to the conclusion today that I’ve never really been alone at any part of my life but as not knowing what alone really is, I’ve always been the privateer of life, the lone rider, the individual.
For my whole life to date I’ve remarked through these pages that there have been two days where I have felt destitute and detached from civilization, scorned or put down. However, although I chose by my actions and unduly reservation to be this lone rider, in reality, my being surrounded by friends amongst all diversities of my life is company enough. To say that I am alone has a double meaning of contrast. To one, I am not alone as I have such an abundance of people to talk with at work, my friends and so forth.
However, on the other hand, all these relationships are baseless as the people at work aren’t really my friends, just my companions. In addition, acquaintances greatly outweigh friendship and to say there is no entity behind me and Lyssa or other past-blooming relationships holds much truth. I chose to be wary, upon my individuality, my companionship and therefore, my being spaced from life to devoting much energy to my own actions is what makes these hands move and this heart tick.
An Ode To Jewell
Far from the full stream of my life, one of past benefit reigns this paragraph foremost. Being stale bread now, a couple of days before the infamous treatment of Lyssa’s birthday, I thought upon the one disastrous cause to my dismal memories, of Jewell. Figuring that it would have been bad time to implement such remembrance after Lyssa called me to throw spite about the way I handled her birthday weekend, I held off the thought to what residue presides now.
With much of the luster and passion having subsided, there is only one verse to shed upon this paragraph. Jewell, an ode to you, although disseminated time has lapsed our worth and our time is far gone, our passion lives forever, within this heart, these pages and these loved memories.
Future Best Seller
Need not I be like the one pathological liar I know to truly make sense and anticipation of my day’s worth. These memoirs to which I can already see are best sellers of the future. At work on Monday I was thinking to myself, each month worth of diary entries earns me one million dollars in future book sales. I hold such faith in these pages that I show much anticipation for the pages I write. Back in the day before these pages really began to lift, I used to live for Letterman, now I just live in my room.
However, as I like dwelling in my room for the whole day upon these pages, it is a small price to pay for future commodity. Again, if I had to choose between work or my memoirs, I would definitely choose my memoirs, at the least cutting back my working hours or the most drastic, quitting work altogether. These pages don’t need funding, that’s what is so good about this project, I already have what I need.
However, with some more insight into my future after a laptop computer and having people write their thoughts about me, I’m also thinking of buying a digital camera to take a picture of everyone that affects my life in some way so that they can be placed upon these pages to color up my life. I figure, with the technology of the future, I could afford at least one or two digital pictures stored upon these pages per day, of people, of events, of anything worthwhile really.
My laptop and its possessions will be like my third leg, always with me wherever I go. My memoirs and me are as thick as thieves and tonight, like scooping together sand from two different directions to join them in the middle, I will treat my depiction as such. Working on today’s events, I will also travel back to the earliest of my chronology which is Friday night and explaining that a touch tonight, I will continue this bringing together the past and the present to demolish this burdensome backlog.
