Chatting At The Photocopier
During the morning duties for mail, I headed over to the far kitchen’s photocopier as my having broken the normal photocopier still hadn’t been attended to despite my writing ‘Out of Order’ on top. Whilst there I was greeted by Thao who was already getting himself some photocopies and soon after Linh graced our presence with his. Seconds into our conversation, Sorrel also made her way into our little group and saying hello whilst still remembering my name.
Patting me on the back, she made me feel welcome as usual as she joked “I’m just here because I want to listen into your conversation” to which she stayed to chat mostly with Thao, noting he was a good gentleman. Far from that cry, Linh brought up the topic of the Gym and how he was eager to attend on Friday with me. “Yeah, I’ll go with you as long as we head to Bridge Street after hours”
I expressed. Taking a look at my Chest Linh asked “You used to work out before didn’t you” and as I explained my Gym history he made me feel comfortably eased when noting “It looks like you have a big Chest through your shirt”. Considering that I had a small frame and my shirt hides much, his noting that I looked fit and trim underneath meant that mostly everyone else would hold the same ideals which pretty much made my day.
Asking The Claims Manager
In our attempts to gain access to Bridge Street and racking our brains for an answer, Linh thought it would be best if we headed out to see one of the managers on the second floor. Excited to chat with a superior other than anyone in legal, I was beginning to delve into the big heads of the claims section and just how broad an elaboration their team was.
Walking into Ulick’s office in claims, the both of us sat down in his comfortable sofa like chairs as he spared a couple of minutes for our query. Linh seemed apprehensive and tense when he started explaining the story, sort of like how I would tense up when speaking to one of my superiors. However, because I didn’t feel directly intimidated, I took this opportunity to shine and upon Linh’s dying words extend his life with a confident speech about exactly what we needed.
“Well boys, I know how you feel” he remarked, “I’ve got access to Bridge Street myself”, explaining that the best thing we could do was email the head honcho in our building. Satisfied with the outcome and jotting down his name, Linh and I headed past Rhett’s desk to which we also counted him in for some access to Bridge Street and with that I was back over to my section after a pause in the day for my fitness.
Lunch In Hyde Park
Deciding to head to Hyde Park for my 1:00 p.m. appointment with hunger, my reminiscence upon the atmosphere had me coming back for more. Buying Teriyaki from Wynyard station and catching the train to Museum station, I jumped off and began my trek across the shaded regions towards my such prestigious trimmings. Sitting myself down amongst the remnants of lost love, putrefied by once oblivious glass and syringe tops, I ate delicately and then decided to walk it off back to work.
This might seem a tad out of place considering the certain conversation I had tonight but in respect to past thoughts, I might as well shed stale bread. Later in the day when upon reminiscence of the old days, I thought of a scenario and my undying love for romance. Running late for the bus home, when seated I thought to myself that if Jewell ever made me miss a bus because she was one minute late, I wouldn’t get angry.
Rather, as smooth as I do allow, much to her apologies I would say “Nah baby, don’t worry about it”, give her a warming kiss as I continue “As long as I’m spending this half an hour with you then I’m happy”. There is no wasted time or time to get aggravated when I’m in the presence of Jewell or anyone else I dearly love for that matter. Like one of my lyrical songs, time is on our side and with you, I’ve got all the time we need.
The Electric Blue Shirt
Just some more digression upon my antics at work on Thursday. Wearing my electric blue shirt, I found it to be a crowd-pleaser as well as a woman’s pleasure. The affects ranged from Thalia running her finger up my spine as she was passing my using the photocopier and Delphi being high on Pepsi put her two hands on my back and pushed me along towards my section.
Just like the Lynx effect (and probably wearing it) these two girls finally decided to take action into their own hands, showing me with these hints that my apparel appealed to their taste. With Delphi being hyper, Thalia being subtle and Najla being transparent, Anneliese had her share of idiosyncrasy for the day. However, Anneliese wasn’t nothing about me but all about herself as she chatted so ostentatiously sarcastic about her exploits at the Gym.
Completely contrasting the blend of this paragraph, when using the photocopier at work on Thursday, word got around that I had broken it previously. Manny was the one to note that he’d heard about my breaking the photocopier, noting that he too was once blamed for everything that happened wrong with the photocopier trying to make me feel a touch better when not feeling bad at all.
Learning To Apologise
Being my arrogant self, I usually don’t take the blame for much in which like Lyssa notes, I believe in my own lies so much that I don’t believe an apology is needed as I always figure out a way to be out of the wrongdoing. However, times do change and with them and these new responsibilities I will learn to shed this arrogance and allow myself to apologize more often. Hopefully this will help bring out that character just waiting to burst out of me, that charisma, so wholeheartedly anticipated.
Speaking now in economy of my trip back home from work, the train trip was satisfactory, slept most of the way and so on with such a cliché. However, when back in Campbelltown and jumping on that bus, there was that young gun again, making me beam with a big smile as I jumped onto his thumping bus. Counting the speakers he had lined up the walkway I recorded eight six-inch speakers which were probably all on full volume pumping an FM station. When arriving back home, Jett popped over my house to which I handed over $25 for skirmish and we talked about him coming over on Friday night to collect his Playstation and to watch the Football game.
Lyssa Rings Late
That is all of Thursday that I have here to speak of and now as the time has almost seeped past midnight I’ll just comment about the most current span of events tonight. Around 10:30 p.m. tonight while writing in these pages I was given a call by Lyssa to which she has been trying to get in contact with me for these last couple of nights. Knowing that Lyssa must have been going through a state of depression these last couple of days, I’ve wanted to speak with her on the telephone since Saturday but timing has always been bad.
Either I’ve been out or I’m so deeply busy with catching up on these pages that I don’t need another two pages of notation to worry about after having a conversation with Lyssa. That’s what life is these days, constant apprehension and mulled dosage of events. There isn’t a day that goes past where I don’t think “I’m going to try and do less things at work today so I’ll have an easier job tonight” but there is no such thing as moderation when it comes to fateful events.
Memoirs Are A Vicious Circle
As much as I try to escape overweighed chronology by shedding some of its outer layers, there is no escape from concurrency created with such procrastination. Memoirs are a vicious circle, unable to get out because it’s been too long spent inside. In addition, you cannot decline a memory once it has grown and inclined to which I remark about the inclination in the number of pages and various thoughts I write of these days. I guess the one thing that spurs me on famously is the fact that one day in life I want to be famous for this life portrayed.
Right now, I would receive a reaping reward if just one person could read upon my life’s progress so far and in awe utter “Damn, Tony’s really turned this into a money-maker”. Much satisfaction even in my death would I receive if I knew people would read these pages and with their inspiration remark “What a wise man and what a remarkable story”.
