A Day of Clothes Shopping

Fashion crazy, that’s what I am. Today I spent the whole day in the city shopping for clothes. I didn’t buy too much but the five hours spent trying on clothes and enjoying the rapture with Shawn were five hours well spent. I love the thrill of the sale, the chase, I love it all. Oh how I love clothes, shopping for them and finally getting to wear them, feeling such fresh comfort.

I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable or productive day of shopping than today and with the purchases I have put on lay-by and what I’ve also bought, I have added another chapter to changing my image completely. We had the City all sussed out as I even drew a little square diagram of all the streets we were going to walk down in search of hidden labels with our names on them.

My ploy was to jump out at Museum Station and begin by walking up Oxford Street. When we came to the Morrissey shop we would head back down Oxford Street, down Guilford Street, visit some shops there and then head up George Street. Ducking into the QVB we would check out a varied list of shops within that district and from there we would head to Pitt Street where we would end our parade of shopping.

All in all, it was a hectically planned day, one which neither I nor Shawn had a problem with. However, I shall leave the thrill of today to a later time as I must now write of Friday night at work before I leave these pages to head out tonight. Even though I didn’t buy much new shit I want to try out what I have bought thus far from Hound Dog but never got to wear last weekend.

Keith’s Big Night Out

This weekend fares no better in planning and if it wasn’t for Shawn feeling pumped and saturated with good vibes, I would have opted to stay home than be the third leg. You see, for some strange reason not understood yet, Keith is with Tamsen tonight and probably because of his persistency, she’s coming out. Keith is trying to string together a big night of events obviously to impress her and as Ned is going, I feel he needs Ned around to make the both of them feel more comfortable.

Keith is an idiot, as both Shawn and I rightly discussed on the train trip home. I already know tonight is going to be a dud and I’m just trying to figure out where to place my money to see when Keith and Tamsen will have an argument and ruin the night. If it wasn’t for me and Shawn finding that bonding power I wouldn’t even consider going out tonight. However, Shawn and I are going to rock the floor with our new gear.

We’re going to muck around and be in all sorts of moods tonight. The both of us wanted to head out to the City so much tonight but of course, it can’t happen with these bunch of clowns. Nevertheless, next week will be better planned and we will head out to the City, I can be sure. However, as I planned, let me now speak of Friday.

Naqi at Sydenham Station

Friday morning began late for me as prior notation serves. Sleeping in a little more after the first ring of my alarm clock I got myself ready, wondering what to wear for my last day of the weekend. Cutting to the chase, I jumped on the train and slept my usual nap on the train towards the City. However, I was fortunate or unfortunate enough to wake up when we arrived at Sydenham Station.

Looking outside on the platform as the doors opened I noticed a familiar but an malevolent face that I did scorn upon. Naqi was the sole person jumping off at Sydenham Station, his ragged clothes covered in paint, his facial hair having not been shaved for days and his stern and unwavering face that he pulls. Grabbing a smoke and lighting it up in his mouth as if he was trying to uphold an image for the cigarette company (For cigarettes being cool), I eyed him with contempt as he walked past my window.

He was doing his usual ‘I’m a sick cunt’ walk taking care to look good as he was lighting his smoke. He was completely oblivious to my staring eyes as he walked past but in the last seconds of his walking past me it did seem like he blankly looked in my direction. Turning back in my seat to see if he would turn around he didn’t do such a thing so I gather he didn’t see me.

Waiting at St James

As Naqi jumped off from the first carriage I was continually wondering if Lyssa was on that very carriage with him. The envy struck a chord in my condemning nature as it started to play on my mind until we reached St. James Station. Curiosity got the better of me as I jumped down to where the doors open. Sitting down on the long chairs I waited patiently to see if Lyssa would walk past, I wasn’t disappointed.

There Lyssa walked with Penelope who looked over and saw me sitting down first. I didn’t show as much envy as Penelope was there, hoping Lyssa sat in one corner and Naqi in the other. I know that Naqi would have gotten a big head from sitting in the middle of both of them whilst looking so ragged, like he was the Kingpin.

It gave me some satisfaction to believe that Lyssa was on one side of the seat and Penelope was in the middle but I’m not sure what the seating arrangements were. As Lyssa walked past right next to Penelope she looked inside and saw me seated there. A smile emerged from her and just before she was out of sight she gave out a big wave to me. Lifting my hand slightly I smiled and waved back to Lyssa but I wasn’t too happy about her having sat with Naqi.

Mail With Najla

After that little disappointment of the day I headed to work from Wynyard Station. Heading to the mailroom I learnt that Najla had already picked up the mail so I made my way up eagerly to our section in administration. On the way up I caught the lift with the Scottish girl. Saying hello to each other we jumped off on the second floor and I asked her if it was her last day. She nodded her head in approval and as we headed into the offices I wished her luck, she thanked me and I was on my way.

Greeting Najla and whomever else was standing around my section, I spoke in my usual playful tone to Najla about picking up the mail, a good start to a good day. For the first hour of our day Najla and I got deep into creating briefs, herself having a headache with her file. From that hour we began on the mail in which we both worked together again. It seemed that we were getting more swamped with work as the days progressed and filing was just a horror.

Hunting for a Photocopier

Anyway, it took us forty five minutes to get the mail done and I had a hard time getting investigation reports photocopied. Heading to my normal photocopier in the kitchen I found it to be out of service as it needed toner. Being scared off from the one in the middle of the legal department I decided to use it because Zenia sat around there. Zenia is one of the most attractive women on our floor, the best I’ve seen yet.

She wears the clothes, she has the body, the blonde hair and the conservatism in attitude. What I find more intriguing is how Zenia seems to always chat with Kelsey who sits in my view. Kelsey is usually out doing her Law Clerk duties at court but when she is at work, you can be sure Tatiana or Zenia are speaking candidly with her. Anyway, I ended up using a photocopier in the other kitchen all the way around the building.

That little Lebanese guy was there talking with one of his friends and I don’t really appreciate his attitude. Even though he looks like he doesn’t think he’s king shit he looks more the type to talk behind your back and laugh silently at your expense. It was for this reason that I didn’t feel comfortable and moreso when the photocopier jammed once or twice. Heading to the really slow photocopier right near our section I just finished what I could and then placed two investigation reports on the incoming mail for Monday.

Another Errand for Jana

With the mail complete Najla and I began again on more briefs to be sent out. Having myself a problem, one of my briefs didn’t have a claim file attached and I gathered that Diskovery either didn’t photocopy it or they did and forgot to add it to the rest of the file. Informing Jana about my little quandary she had other problems on her mind, her own. Jana wanted me to head out on an errand for her and when I achieved it without fuss or hassles I was once again deemed as a champ.

When it comes to errands or helping Jana out in some way I always meet her expectations and as she’s the supervisor, that can’t be half bad for my career. Late in the day Jana even talked casually with me, almost brushing off our existence as work enterprise. Jana had a headache because she was constantly getting yelped at by people. David was looking for files and because he’s all back the front in his actions he asked Jana to take care of it. In the end I helped Jana find all her files in which I was deemed a champ, something I take proudly to heart.
