Jett Rings From the Gym

Saturday 5:37 p.m.

The last day of the month and I chose adventure instead of monotony in front of this computer. I stopped writing in my diary, theoretically around midday. The reason for this was because I was getting bored quick and was getting frustrated with being in front of the computer with such a dueling task to complete. Therefore, my first call of the day went out to Jett in which I caught him training down at Bradbury Gym.

As we got to chatting and he advised me that him and Min-Su went out to the revolving restaurant in Centrepoint for all you can eat, I sat there intrigued. For forty dollars, the both of them had all you can eat seafood, salads, ice-creams and anything else you can think of that this place serves. From this huge meal where Jett noted he ate a ton of food, they headed to Darling Harbor for a little while and then caught a Ferry for ten minutes to Circular Quay.

All in all, the both of them had a great time out together, still very much in love and without a bad word to speak of each other. Having nothing further to add to the contemplation of vivid nights, I asked if Jett was still heading over my house and sure enough, he told me he would be over after the Gym with his Playstation.

Lyssa on My Mind

Tired of writing in my memoirs, I stopped after this first conversation, trying to get inspiration to write of my damning conversation with Lyssa. Whenever it comes to memories with much emotional baggage attached, I tend to find them more damnable and toilsome to write of, prolonging the task with extended overture. Anyway, from my calling Jett I received two calls forthwith and as I tell you of that sixth sense with Lyssa, I didn’t feel her presence on either of them.

In addition to my sixth sense with Lyssa, we both have the same deficit span from each other. In that (And for the lack of a better specification), I mean to say that Lyssa and I grow apart and then yearn for each other on the same level, this comes with knowing someone inside out for so long. When I start to think of Lyssa in my mind, most probably, she’s at home doing the same thing about me and when I am thinking to myself “Lyssa will be the next person to call”, she usually is.

These days bring no anticipation of Lyssa to call as after our last ordeal over the phone, I won’t be expecting her to cheer up for another couple of days. Even though Lyssa is going out to Retro for her friend’s birthday and even though she’s inviting Ivan along and Imad is going to be there, I feel that she will long to call me in a couple of days.

Even though Lyssa doesn’t seem to think so, the same primal urges that bid me to think upon her assist her in picking up that phone with dreary thoughts to call me. It’s a wicked little circle I kid you not and with each step, my feet chained to a huge ball, I make minimal progress, but progress it is. Away from the burdensome drone to humanity that has possessed these limbs, so livid from relationships.

The Parramatta Trio

Keith was the first to call me after my conversation with Jett, trying his luck as he always does for my company. “I was just ringing to see if you wanted to come to Parramatta” he asked scantly and when I heard him mention, “With Tamsen and Ralf” the trio of doom had behest my anxiety. There was no way I was going to go out with desperado, girl with rocks in her head and guy with nothing in his head who rambles those rocks to sleep.

There was no consultation to hear that they were thinking of inviting Shawn to head down with them and frankly, shopping at Parramatta didn’t sound like my cup of tea, especially when I had no money to spend and those three loonies were accompanying me. When Keith knew that I wasn’t coming along, I changed the subject to his night last night. You wouldn’t be clued into my stance last night but he headed to the Catholic Club and rang me up during the night to cordially invite me.

Nevertheless, as today, I declined his offer to partake in these memoirs I never touched. Anyway, Keith told me that him, Tamsen, Tyler, Binh and Vedat were down there and the only people that sparked interest were Vedat for his new braided hair and Tyler because he was the outsider. Keith obviously had a shit time and broke his word now more times than you can poke a stick at road-kill. Keith noted that some time during the night he lost Tyler and when they were all finally heading outside, they noticed him standing there with a friend.

From Tyler’s mouth, Keith heard that he was kicked out of the Catholic Club because he was suspected of holding drugs on his person. I’m not sure whether to believe his story as there was no proof attached but from his yarn, he was searched for drugs and then left outside. Tyler was so pissed off at the end of the night that he ended up walking to Chevy’s by himself and as Keith kept saying “Wait, we’ll come with you”, he never waited.

In the end, Tyler headed to Chevy’s drunk and from what I was told, he met up there with Tino but I don’t think he would have hung around them. Keith dogged Tyler yet again because if Keith really wanted to, he would have headed to Chevy’s with Binh and Vedat later in the night but obviously, from his lacking story, he probably just ended up going home with Tamsen and fucking the wench with his Phoenix-infected dick. Tamsen still hasn’t bothered to ring Min-Su and obviously that is because Keith’s scared and envious of their love for each other as well as their influence over Tamsen’s decisions.

Shawn Calls Back

The second person to give me a call was Shawn ten minutes later. “Did you call my house a couple of minutes ago” he asked and with my knowing I hadn’t called, I figured it to be Ralf or Keith. To his father’s knowledge, three people had called so I figured to inform him that the dooming trio were headed to Parramatta. Shawn didn’t sound too worried that he wasn’t there for the phone call as we talked about the Football game last night.

Being the patriot for Parramatta that he is, Shawn thought to note that we would get our ass kicked when we played against them in three weeks, making plans with each other to go watch the game live on Friday night. Shawn brought forth his intention to head to Meridian tonight hoping he could persuade me along but I had different plans. Sick of everyone folding on my plans or my having a shit time on everyone else’s planning expertise, I decided it would be best to just stay low and stick mostly at home this weekend.

Apart from Sunday which could be the make or break for next month’s odyssey, the first day of the new month could be a dramatic contribution to the flow of events. Last night and tonight don’t really matter on the turn of events for this month because it is almost over and that’s why I agreed to watch ‘What Becomes of the Broken Hearted’ with Jett, Min-Su and Anders tonight. That shall be my only sign of content for tonight as I leave in a couple of minutes (Being at 6:15 p.m.) and come back home to type the rest of the saga in this diary tonight.

Driver on the Playstation

Just quickly, when Jett came over with his Playstation, we set it up and after some toying around with the wires, we started playing ‘Driver’. Thinking that I had blown the wires to my amplifier from pumping the music before Jett arrived, I found the chord to the back of the video came loose and that’s why we had no volume coming out of the speakers for the Playstation.

Anyway, we started to muck around with ‘Driver’ and after we got tired of doing the missions, we began on ‘Survival’ being the best fun in the one or two hours we played on it. At one stage I took out a tape as Jett headed down to the shops to buy some fish and hot chips and started to tape clips of the game. When Jett came back from the shops, we ate hot chips with fish and then began on a game of Madden 98.

Madden Ninety Eight Rematch

Not having played it so long, we found it now to be on par with an Amiga game, that’s how far back it felt like we were going. The graphics compared to the 99 version weren’t even close and to think that I used to stick up for the 98 version. Anyway, Jett was two touchdowns ahead of me where he missed both his two point conversions.

In the second half of the game I got back with a touchdown and two point conversion and after I got my second touchdown with a quarter to go, I slackened off with points. Scoring one more touchdown with a minute to go, I didn’t care about the extra point, kicking a punt into the goals. Jett had to score a touchdown and a two point conversion to tie with me and deciding to give him the best chance, I done stupid shit to let him creep forward.

Scoring a touchdown with three seconds to spare, I allowed him the two point conversion as well, knowing that he would throw to either side. The real game was fought in overtime, showing leniency with haphazard plays, unfazed when the ball turned over to Jett after my failing to get a fourth down completion. With the ball now in his court, he shut me down with a huge pass to one of his wide receivers and as quick as it was over, we had come to our conclusion.

Speakers and Savings

For the rest of our time together we played some more ‘Driver’, opting to play the ‘Survival’ portion. You could tell by Jett’s ambiguities that he was getting tired of the repetitive seconds spent avoiding the smashing clamor of turbo charged cop cars. Spending this time to hook up his hands free kit to his mobile phone, he kept pranking Min-Su in the hopes that she would call him back. Meanwhile, I loaded up the video recorder and started taping some of the better crashes and flips, well, all of them. Turning down the volume that was on full ball, I had Jett ring Min-Su up from my house so we could plan our night out at the movies.

Speaking of my sound system, I’ve found that over the past couple of months cranking these puppies up, they haven’t the affluence of pump as they did say, one or two years ago. These speakers have grown old to the beset age they now live which bids me to say that I should change the entire sound system and have plans to do so when I have bought a couple of items with the money I have now.

On that note, I’ve realized a vital trend in the way I’m spending my money as well as planning for the future. In natural theory, I alternate spending patterns with the changing seasons and I do believe that I have been spending my money wisely. Each fortnight I know exactly where my money as maybe half a year ago, I created a list of everything I wanted to buy in the medium term as well as the amounts and time they would take.

Altogether, I think I created a list of goodies equaling to $20,000 and in real time, that would most probably take two years. Getting back to my prior point, for the whole of winter and ending just before Spring arrives, I’ve been potentially gorging my money on the likes of clothing foremost and in all means, improving my appearance. Foresight for Spring sees me saving my money for a laptop which shall conclude the ritual of preservation in late November.

The game plan for Summer is to save for a car and as I want a decent car worth $3000 or a touch more, I’ll be spanning that into Autumn. Basically, each change of season brings a change of expenditure and planning for such future projects. From what you know of my forsythe and my temperament, you shall know that my optimism never dies and for as long as I live, if personal dreams are not met, they will loom unassumingly in the back of my mind.

Getting Ready for the Movies

With the cessation of Jett’s phone call with Min-Su, he also called his dad and made plans to be dropped off at Min-Su’s house. As far as I knew, the plans were going ahead and along with Anders, we were headed for the movies to watch ‘What Becomes of the Broken Hearted’. Packing up his Playstation when the time arrived to 5:10 p.m., Jett advised that he would be back at 6:10 p.m. to pick me up.

Just having had myself a shower and sitting here dressed in my usual black attire, I’m ready to pop out and have a decent night without the withdrawal symptoms that I usually get when I’m sitting at home alone and everyone else is out having a good time. Jett should be over any time now so as I leave these pages, I should be back a couple of hours later tonight, eager to write journalistic reviews regarding the movie, appraising its worth.

There is not much else to note except that everyone else should be doing their own thing tonight but what they do doesn’t bother me because frankly, I don’t give a damn…
