Finding Tyler Again
Finally meeting up with him on the outer rails of the bar inside the dancefloor portion, he had the same sort of attitude as Miroslav and Redd. Whilst standing near him I was trying to entice him upon stepping onto the dancefloor but as he was waiting for the right opportunity, the best we could do was do some little grooving moves on the floor where we were.
Being on the outskirts of the dancefloor we could have just started dancing there but we didn’t do much more than just dip into the warm waters of what the night had to offer. In this time I noticed Daphne, the black girl with the long curly hair that I used to do gymnastics with at school. Yearning to finally have a word with her after I done none more than glance at her when last I was at Chevy’s I made a promise to myself that I would approach her later in the night.
Daphne Breaks The Ice
When I did lose sight of Tyler later in the night whilst chatting to Lily I did walk up to Daphne with my yellow lens glasses on and ask her if she had seen him. Beforehand the both of them were chatting slightly so it wasn’t strange for me to approach her since I knew her. Unbeknownst of his whereabouts I wandered around for a little while and when I did spot him minutes later I made my way towards him.
What made for an amiable night worth the venture was Daphne’s willingness to step out, grab my attention and advise me that she had seen Tyler despite my already having seen him. This told me that she too had noticed me over the weeks and probably wanted to say something to me but never had the chance. Now that I have broken through that barrier I usually create with my reticence, we will probably be able to gesture each other when next we see each other.
Faces In The Crowd
When finally we made our way onto the stage we began just in front of the stage and then minutes later the both of us stepped onto the stage and began our lasting indulgence for the rest of the night. Other people whom I did bump into through the night I shall quickly note. Firstly, Salima and Lavita were there and I can’t remember who’s who but one of their tits were practically hanging out of the low cut top.
In addition I don’t think she was wearing a bra and as she bounced up and down to the rhythm on the beat, you could almost will the nipple to pop out. Salima and her sister noticed me but it took my shaking hands with Wade, Zayd and Jonas for some extra recognition. Both Yunus’s were also there again including Pascal the Greek. On the less multicultural side.
Marzio made the transition from the Catholic Club to Chevy’s as he mostly sat at the tables near the bar with Kane and everyone else. The big black guy who tried to sell me E’s last time around recognized me as he spoke to me without the contagious attitude that was doing the rounds. Redd and Parker were also there along with others who stuck around them and a couple of other faces.
Snubbed By Janice
Big forehead Janice was also on the dancefloor in which I noticed her through the middle of the night. Deciding to stick my neck out despite my knowledge of her being a priggish bitch I headed up to her, taped her on the shoulder and cheerfully asked “Hey, what are you doing”. The obvious answer I wasn’t looking for when she answered in her conceited maunder was “I’m dancing”.
Straight as it was forward she turned back to her dancing, obligingly snobbing me off or at least it seemed. Unfazed I thought “Fuck her”, turned around and headed back willfully to where I was originally dancing near Tyler at center stage. Murphy’s Law always sets in when I think to myself “Nah, I’ll probably regret it” and then when finally deciding to take the plunge, the inevitable happens.
Late Night Dancing
Near the end of the night I bumped into Jonas again as I was getting myself a drink from the bar. Whilst there Lily and Janice’s sister came back up to me to say hello and as we began to talk I introduced them to Jonas. Releasing some of my burden I appreciated how Jonas began a conversation with Lily before the both of us decided to head up onto the stage and begin dancing again. My glasses were continually fogging up as I headed onto the stage so I pulled them out a touch to rectify the problem.
Heading over to who he arrived with, I tapped Gustav on the shoulder as we shook hands and chatted a touch asking if he still hung around Ignatius. Practically for the rest of the night I danced near them until it was time to head home. Mostly, I was too tired to dance in which I just leant against the back wall and occasionally let out a little move. When I did dance however I slowly started getting into the swing of things and then before you knew it, when the right mix and beat came along, I would be there with the best of them.
The Girl From The Catholic Club
The last portion of my night at Chevy’s will be to note that girl that I had fallen into a trance with when at the Catholic Club who also ended up at Chevy’s. Having the appearance in equilibrium of Phoenix and Sienna, for most of the last hour and a half she was dancing near me, at most, next to me. Glancing over at he on occasion I wanted to believe my perception that she was standing next to me because she thought I was attractive.
Just like Lyssa once noted, she usually stands next to a guy if she likes him so it gives the guy a better opportunity to open up conversation. However, as my courage was building up, my desires came very close to tapping her on the shoulder and noting that she looked gorgeous or some other fanciful line. However, the fear that she had a boyfriend or that my line would fall to tatters and ruin her perception of me in her mind, that fear caused me to procrastinate until I could wait no longer.
Right near the end of the night we were side to side of each other and as we were relatively by ourselves, if this wasn’t a telling tale then what was. Alas, I let her slip away and will remember the next portion of the night for a long time. Taking a look at the rails near the middle of the bar whilst dancing on the stage, I noticed her adoring presence.
Through the clouds of smoke produced by the smoke machine, I could sense downcast looks as she walked towards a guy I gathered she knew. With her head down, it stayed that way as from my distant viewpoint, I could gather he was telling her off subtly. With her depressant head down as if she was bowing to her fallen grace, there was no intervention only saddened acceptance. I had the feeling that he was telling her to stay away from guys and it didn’t look like he was her boyfriend but rather, a friend of the guy.
Therefore, if this was the case, it seems he gave her a second chance against her wayward infidelity. If I had not seen this, it would have granted a generous night of loyal remembrance but it did cause a discouraged night’s ending. My Friday night ended at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday morning where after writing a page in my memoirs, I decided to get some much needed sleep.
