Catching Up on Loose Ends
Let’s get started and have no fooling around as I want to accomplish a fair lot today as I missed out on Trivia. Not that Trivia really matters as I now despise being around Keith due to his egotistic escapades, I would rather sit at home and wind back with erstwhile chronology. Before I begin on the continental chronology of Friday let me begin with a couple of comments I forgot to add of the past few nights.
First things first, just a little pointer about Sunday night, well, two or three pointers. Firstly, I would like to mention that while I was heading up Queen Street on Sunday just after having my haircut I got lost in all the new roadwork. In their bid to make Queen Street one way they have also made one path head up Queen Street, the Chevy’s side.
My whole intention was to head to an optical shop on the other side and completely oblivious until I was shy of where the speed-hump used to be, I had to turn back because it was blocked off. They’re even ripping up the side portion where everyone takes a seat and from what I hear, they’ll be opening it up to traffic onto the main road.
Jett’s CD Writer Plans
Later in Sunday night while Jett was still at my house I forgot to mention that he was buying his CD Rewritable so that he can place it into my computer. Sounding very intent on buying one I wait with baited breathe upon the idea, so that I can finally start saving my diary in which I can start creating an effective outlay for such a project.
Not only that but I can start mixing songs, recording them and save all my art and desktop work, freeing all the more space. The Rewritable can also benefit with those large wave files stored on my computer in hopes that I will one day have a CD read and write drive. I guess those wave files of Lyssa will now finally be written in gold and oh man, if I could only have that wave file I heard on the music segment of ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’, crack up.
Just one more quick note, last night when Keith was over my house with Tamsen he thought to hand back not only my hat but my little bike clock that he told me wasn’t in his car. Me without my little clock is like Austin Powers without his Mojo and believe me I feel whole and more in control when I am at work and when I head for lunch.
Waiting on Centrelink
Man I was so happy this morning, the optimistically anxious question of “Will I receive money from Centrelink” kept looming in my mind. Further to that question I was wondering how much money I would get, knowing that it probably wouldn’t be over $80 at most. Last night before getting off to sleep just after midnight I called up the phone banking service but to no avail.
However, this morning the anxiety grew and as I wanted there to be money in my account so much, I didn’t have too great a faith. That second of silence after all the buttons are pressed and you’re waiting for the computer to reply with the amount in your bank was nerve-racking. Shock did ensue my face when I heard the new amount in my bank account, a full $190.
Amazed out the turnaround I quickly turned on my computer to evaluate exactly where the money was going before having myself a shower. I worked out that I could now get my photos developed as well as getting doubles of Tamsen’s pictures. On top of that, I could afford to place $25 in my Credit Card as well as paying off the rest of the phone bill which was $95 and still having $45 to spare for the weekend.
Most of that money is now gone to either pay bills or further expenditure but again, it couldn’t have come at a better time. To be honest, through this whole weekend I was riding on that money to come through for me when most I needed it. To understand the anxiety I was feeling prior to the good news you’ll have to comprehend the crushing hope, in fear that my full dependability upon that money would be an optimism too sparse. Luckily I wasn’t robbed, grateful that I did rob the government again…
Tamsen’s Cruise Stories
Just a couple more words about Tamsen and Keith being over my house last night before I begin with Friday night. Within our conversation and as we were looking at her formal photos and photos of her work holiday at Duffy’s, she mentioned a funny story or two. As I noticed Osama in one or two of the photos I soon learnt that this was indeed the work party as Osama used to work for Duffy Bros.
Naïve as he is and in his stubborn fervor, he strongly denied that he was drinking alcohol after he was informed that the light blue drink he was sipping was indeed intoxicated beverage. “No it’s not” Osama would blurt out instinctively as if he didn’t want to believe for one second he had been fooled into drinking the spirits of the evil. “Yes it is” one of the girls would argue and back and forth they would bicker about if it was really alcohol or not.
Taking a look at the pictures I could tell that Osama was a bit more open, with red cheeks and a continuous smile on his face. There was another story shared about four girls on the boat flashing their tits at a passing ferry late in their cruise night. Ironically, it turned out to be a Lesbian boat in which the ladies on the other boat cheered their red faces on.
A Put Down From Tamsen
Probably having noted before, Tamsen gave me the photos of her 21st birthday party and as I looked through I noted about the blonde who was at her party. “She looks decent” I uttered but what pissed me off was that Tamsen had the opprobrious intent to note that we were nothing alike.
Basically I was told that this girl was too good for me because she went to TAFE, used big words, spoke her mind and had a casual job at a radio station detailing public service announcements. Sure she might be from an upper class family but for Tamsen to put me down in such a manner, sticking to her obvious thoughts that I’m out for a fuck rather than being responsible in handling a relationship.
If there was anyone that Tamsen should be shaming it should be herself, for being with a loser and being a loser for doing such a deed. It ticks me off how this bad reputation sticks around with me for life despite my having been in a loving relationship for more than a year in which I still speak to Lyssa.
People overlook the good too often and stick to the bad and I don’t know what people see in me but they see the wrong person. Even Jett has this susceptibility that I’m more out for sex rather than a relationship and if you really sit back and have a good look, one year without sex or a partner because I’m waiting for the right person has to say something about me.
Friday Train With Shawn
Clichés aside, let me begin with Friday’s day at work. Being the last day of the working week I was looking forward to heading out, doing my thing, tidying up on my work and then heading home for a possible good night. The morning train to work was different for me on Friday as with a bit of luck, I bumped into Shawn who had been dropped off at the Station as I jumped off the bus.
Greeting him as we both walked up the stairs together this looked like a perfect opportunity to discuss our plans for the weekend as well as chat about current events. It seems that Shawn and I have been closest amongst the people I hang out with these days in which I haven’t sensed any sort of dog act in him like many people try and embed in my mind. However, I don’t listen to many people and rather, I like not to keep an open mind but a naïve mind.
Shawn and I were close when we were both off work. We would play all night on the computer, spend countless hours of sleepless dawns together and we would head out to places with mutual concepts. This lagged for a little while but now that we’re both working and he’s started to buy club clothes, we are both on the same level again. Shawn as a better friend isn’t necessarily an idiosyncrasy but an unparalleled oddity that has worked out.
Lucky that I remembered a conversation even existed on the train because as I had a late night I failed to write of it in my memoirs. Goes to show my attention to detail along with my apt performance when it comes to thinking in a chronological pattern. In regards to my conversation with Shawn on Friday, I can’t remember too much apart for our planning of the night. The initial idea was to head down to the City as the both of us were keen.
Planning the Fantastic Five
The only problem was getting everyone else to head out with us and this is where my bringing out the expertise of planning arrived. Let me just note, my being the man back in the days did have a part to play with Naqi. Not so much was I a puppet where Naqi would always second my thoughts but he had a car. The way I see it, myself alone won’t make the plans come to affect, I have to have someone wit the same interests, uncaring about petrol and all that consuming bullshit.
You see, Naqi didn’t care whether he drove as it was always the two of us and he loved giving his car a squirt. So far, there has been no one in this group that I have been able to couple with in that respect apart from Ralf but I also have to be able to bear the person. No one really listens to Ralf anyway so I knew that wouldn’t work.
However, with Shawn informing me toady on the train that he could possibly get the work van for the weekend, this thought once again breeds within my mind. There has to be someone along my side with a special caliber and the only people I can see with such potential are Shawn or Jett. Rubbing Jett out for the fact that he doesn’t have a car and he doesn’t like nightclubs, it brings upon me the more viable option of Shawn who is more or less allowed to drive the family car now because he’s working.
Having lost respect for Keith in which no one really wants to go out with someone who brings the night down and Tyler being a tad too puerile compared to the rest of us, I see this commonness between my decision and my end result. Shawn, who would have thought it, the clubber along with Tyler. Ace is becoming an old maid now, in his twilight years of settling down and therefore, unable to be part of our fantastic five.
Binh always has an attitude problem or has something else planned which makes him a hard choice of pick. The fantastic five, led by my planning and everyone else’s having equal fun. No Keith to down the night, no Ralf to avoid and just no Tatton, how great a pact would that be…
