Wacky Photocopier Trouble
The second half of my day with Najla was much quirkier and offbeat. Because I was still hyped from lunch the real me began to come out in force. For example, every time that Najla coughed or blew her nose I would say “Bless you” and when she sneezed I would keep silent. The second half of our day was relaxed as I continued to help her out with a brief while she started on the mail around 3:00 p.m.
Our wacky day began when we both made our way to the photocopier to photocopy a couple of pages. Najla had to get them sorted and stapled by the photocopier as she had fifteen photocopies but as she just pressed the sort button I pressed the staple button. “No, no” she fussed, “That’s the wrong button” but I held her back from touching any buttons. Somehow the photocopier came up with a problem in which we had to stop and reinsert the paper and when we started printing again it was fine.
However, as all the copies got stapled and we took them all out we found that they printed blank, we had the pages the wrong way around. Heading back over to our section I brought back a staple remover and as they were all removed we placed the paper back into the photocopier and this time got it right. This is where our wacky Friday began to emerge and from there my weird thoughts began to emanate.
Twister At The Office
The real idle humor began when Najla and I were sitting at our tables and I suggested out of the blue that work should have a twister night, the game. Then I went one further to note that the hallway from the elevator to our doors should be a huge game of twister in which you have to spin the wheel as the elevator doors opened.
Slowly but surely you would make your way up the game of twister to your door and in the process, you can have entangling fun with your coworkers. From that wacky comment that stems only from my mind I implied that we should have a suggestion box at work so I can make that suggestion. Through the later hours of the day Najla and I were both sitting in tears at our table as to the comments we were making.
During all this Najla’s boyfriend called in which I answered and then handed to her. The conversation was about their meeting after work and I found it funny how she had to say “I love you” before hanging up. “He made you say that didn’t he” I asked her as she nodded her head. We had another laugh about this and for the rest of the day we were elated in humor.
Files And Paper Cut Jokes
Delphi came down for a little while as she was looking for files and had a chat with the both of us. Delphi was trying to locate some filing and files in which I helped her out with the filing and she done the same by taking some off me. Livia also came over asking if I could look for a file that was probably closed and as it was shown to be closed on the computers it was most probably sent off to Brambles storage.
However, as we both made a venture to the only box holding a couple of closed files not yet sent off we were lucky to find her file in there. As she called me a legend I used that as the next source of amusement in my conversation with Najla. Near the end of the day Najla also got a paper-cut and from this stemmed another great joke fest. Beforehand Najla had told me about her mother getting her life insurance and I noted that if she bled hard enough it would come into effect.
Combining our position in the worker’s compensation department we noted that Najla could receive workers compensation. Then we discussed the severity of her wounds and how one day we would receive a paper-cut that would kill us. Like a huge slice across our necks, being overly sarcastic and having a good laugh. When the day of raillery was over Najla and I gathered our belongings and headed out a couple of minutes early. Usually Najla and I are practically the last people to leave the office but this time around we would be leaving earlier.
Walking To The Station
Heading to the station together we came up to the lights and then from behind Delphi said hello to us and began walking with us to the station. Asking her for what she was eating she handed me some kind of lolly as we talked on our way to the station about ourselves. Delphi was 21, I’m 20 and Najla was a tender 19 and for that age Delphi noted that it was the best age to be.
When you’re 21 you’re expected to be more mature but at the age of 19 you should know better but you can still act young. Heading to the ticket machines at the station Delphi cut in front of me and I playfully placed my card as if I was going to put it in the machine before hers. We fussed around flicking our hands around trying to get our card in the machine but I let Delphi head through first.
The Broken Escalator
Saying goodbye to Delphi first and then imitating that same farewell with Najla I headed down to my platform and caught a train to Central Station. Making my way to the express trains I came up to the escalators and was confused in my daze as I stepped onto them but they weren’t working. Confused for a split second I looked back and had a laugh as I noticed a blonde girl in the same predicament.
“What” she laughed as we continued walking up the escalators and I know I could have said something better to someone who had opened up in result to our amusement but I just remarked something about the escalator. As usual, a few minutes later I kept thinking I should have said something like “Is it me or did the whole world stop when I laid eyes on you”. Catching an express train home I slept for most of the way and then catching a bus home I arrived around 6:45 p.m.
Friday Night Offers
For the most part of my coming home on Friday I was thinking of my heading out for the night but I also knew that I had to head to the Gym. Just as I started eating I received a phone call from Keith and at that same moment after coming out of the shower I heard a tap on the door. Deciding to answer the door it was Jett returning my umbrella and as I asked if he was thinking of staying he told me that he was headed to the movies to watch ‘The Mummy’ and I was invited.
With his departure I started talking to Keith who told me that he was heading out to the Catholic Club and then Chevy’s was the go. Like I said last night, Keith really knows how to kill a good night by repeatedly abusing it and because he doesn’t have anything but Chevy’s in his mind now I chose not to go. Because Keith had control over the planning I knew it would turn out to be a shit night and I might be wrong but that’s just my assumption.
Chest Day With Loose Hair
Having something quick to eat I prepared for the Gym and then ran out of my house and jogged to the Gym entrance. Deciding to leave my hair out for a change I found it to be interesting but somewhat bothersome to my workout and conscience. Although there were no women working out I still didn’t like how my hair sat and constantly I am now wishing the day that I braid my hair to arrive, or the day where I will put braided extensions in my hair. Anyway, the last part of my chronology would be to speak of my workout…
Chest: Beginning with a couple of warm-up sets I began with Bench Press and using 150 pounds I only managed 6 reps with a spotter. Moving to Cable Crossovers with 50 pounds I managed 15 reps before conking out and feeling the stretch in my Chest. Incline Dumbbell Press was next and beginning with 60 pounds I completed 5 reps and then a further 5 lowering the weight to 50 pounds. Dips continued my stress on the Chest as I worked up 6 reps and then a further 4 reps with assisted Dips.
Bent-over Cable Crossovers ensued with 60 pounds as I managed only 12 reps and then from there I moved to Peck Deck Fly’s and pushed out 12 reps with 120 pounds. Seated Machine Bench Press was next with 140 pounds and completing 6 reps I continually lowered the weight for a force of more repetition. Finally, my last set was of Pullovers and by now I was fatigued to the max but I accomplished 10 reps
Biceps Back And Abs
Biceps: Completely bi-passing the back for a little while I began with a warm-up on Preacher Cable Curls and then with 50 pounds I completed 12 reps with two slow reps down. Reverse Cable Curls was next with 30 pounds of light weight and 12 reps but from there I headed to Alternate Hammer Dumbbell Curls. With 30 pounds I forced out 12 reps, paused and then a further 8 reps was added to my tally for the Biceps.
Back: Only completing two sets for back I started with Neutral Grip Lat Pulldowns and struggled with 120 pounds for 12 reps. My last and final set for back was Close Grip Lat Pulldowns and with 120 pounds I pulled down a further 12 reps.
Abdominals: The force behind Abdominals was also diminished because someone was occupying my favorite machine so I ended up completing a set of Crunches of 25 reps side to side. My last set was on Cable Crunches and with 60 pounds or kilos I pushed out a further 25 reps to conclude my workout.
Jett Gives Me The Brush Off
Coming back from the Gym I was prepared with the short time I had to head out with Jett to the movies but as I continually tried ringing his phone wouldn’t answer. Finally I gave him a call a couple of minutes before 9:00 p.m. in which he said he could pick me up but it was a different story on the phone. When I asked if there was still a spot in the car for me Jett went all goofy in his voice then straight out said no.
This sounded a bit weird as he then handed the phone to Min-Su who sounded confused in what to do. I’m not sure why I was getting the brush off but I figured that Jett never really had any intention of having me head out to watch a movie as he was already there. That was one of my proposed plans down the drain as I told Min-Su not to worry and that I would be heading to the Catholic Club.
Jett talked to me again before I left and he told me that he had a ticket lined up for me if I wanted to come down but it was all hopeless babble and white lies. Not disappointed at all I tried ringing Keith but the same result came from ringing him. Through the whole night I never got to speak to Keith as he would never answer his phone and after a while passed I started to write in my diary.
Waiting On Kangaroo Valley
That leads me to the conclusion of my Friday night as I drifted off to sleep at around 12:30 a.m. Yeah, I probably missed out on going to Chevy’s but I figure that Keith’s planning would have fallen apart or he would have headed home early in which case, I’m glad I didn’t ruin my night in such fashion.
This morning I woke up at 8:30 a.m. and almost instantly I decided to bother Keith by calling his mobile phone. Still half asleep he asked me to call back later and as I quickly asked what time we were heading out to Kangaroo Valley he wasn’t sure as he was still sleepy. From that phone call I got myself something to eat and started typing in this entry that you see before you.
A couple of minutes ago Keith called me back informing me that our heading out to Kangaroo Valley shall begin at lunchtime. However, Keith is coming over now so that we can head out for a little while and in that time I guess I can buy my train ticket for work as well as some Brylcreem. Anyway, I have finally reached the end of my chronological saga and as both ends meet, I shall be off now and see you when next I hear of words that do speak.
