Writing Slump

My biorhythms cycles must be at their lowest negative cycle or on the decline because I’m starting to prolong my chronology in this diary because I never feel like writing in it. I do procrastinate hours before I actually write in this diary hoping that somehow all that depiction can just magically find its way into this diary without my having to type or even think but, that doesn’t happen.

Maybe when I get a microphone set for my computer in which I only have to voice my words, it might be a little easier but I’m always going to be flustered before typing. There are days when I do love writing in this diary and those are the days where my best poetical works emanate from but right now I’m in a slump of antipathy and calmed days can only take me back out.

You see, because I have been so overloaded with depictive chronology I haven’t given my mind too good a workout in these pages and sadly, philosophy or poetry has been lacking. Nevertheless, this slump will be ridden and there will come a day next month where the revival of philosophy will be distinguished. Another thing, for this month, I believe my big words and barrage of great sentences has been lacking and if there are big words I tend to overly use them.

Compared to April or May this month is lacking in literary content and grammatical equivalence and to put it simply as I have been this month, a ten year old could understand what I wrote and probably get bored of it. Let me hope that my unwieldy adventures yesterday will change the course of accidence in these pages. The sun shines bright outside if only for a couple of minutes and I will embrace these glories of sunshine to write upon my next paragraphs of chronology. This would have to be one of the sparse few moments in this month where the sun has been out, savor it…

What Happened Last Night

My heart really isn’t in these words that I collaborate and I stand down somewhat to talk of last night because there was so much to speak of that words for three hours would not discern. However, I shall begin by noting that I went to sleep at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday night. From what I heard of everyone’s adventures, Keith and the rest of them headed to the Catholic Club and then from there they all headed up to Kings for the night.

There were no great stories so I definitely didn’t miss out on anything. The only news I can share is how Ralf was carried home by Keith and Binh from the Catholic Club. Ralf was so drunk that he couldn’t even walk, hence the assistance from the others. Normally a walk to Ralf’s house would only take ten minutes but this time around the depleting exercise took an hour and fifteen minutes.

Waking Keith Up

This morning I woke myself up at 8:30 a.m. after a good sleep. Feeling replenished and eager to find out plans for Kangaroo Valley I gave Keith’s mobile phone another call. Another reason why I called Keith was because I knew he would still be asleep and being bothersome was amusement on my behalf. Rightly, I did wake Keith up and as he limbered his stiffened tone he didn’t allow me more than two questions before he asked to get back to sleep.

Quickly asking him what time we were headed out to Kangaroo Valley Keith told me that he would call back later in the day. The reason I called Keith so early in the morning was so that I could estimate how much time I had to write in my diary. It looked to me as if we were headed out around lunchtime so minutes after giving Keith a call I started writing in my diary. Finishing in my diary around 11:30 a.m. I had myself a shower and then waited around for Keith to show up which didn’t take too long.

Keith arrived at my house with his car revving out the front just before midday and as I headed out with the clothes that I would wear for the day I jumped in the car. “Is that all you’re taking to Kangaroo Valley” he asked and realizing that Keith was getting everyone together so we could head off instead of just driving around for a little like we had planned, I headed back in the house to prepare.

Running upstairs I packed some bread, bananas a knife and then heading back downstairs I put a shirt in my ‘Blue’ bag and headed back out to greet Keith. Jumping back into Keith’s car I remembered that I hadn’t brushed my teeth since the night before so I was wary that if we headed back to my house I would prioritize brushing my teeth.

Picking Up Shawn and Ned

Shawn’s house was the next place we headed and as we revved the car out the front of his house his desolate house didn’t show any signs of remittance to our persistency. Therefore, Keith had to step out of the car and make his way to the backyard where he walked into Shawn’s bedroom (The garage) and woke Shawn up. Still half dazed we didn’t bother to pick Shawn up straight away and opted to come back for him in fifteen minutes as we headed to pick up Ned.

Arriving minutes later at Ned’s house Keith jumped out of the car and headed inside as I decide to sit tight and linger in the car. However, flicking the button to pull the CD in and out was starting to get monotonous so I decided to make my entry into Ned’s house. Ned was getting himself prepared for heading out to Kangaroo Valley, packing all the necessities and finding time to blow up his mum in the process.

Ned is known to be choleric in having a quick temper and I was reminded of my old days of rebellion when Ned was yelling abuse at his mum whilst she packed his bag. He swore at his mum in front of Keith and I which made me remember how mean I was to my mum in front of my parents, demeaning and demoralizing her. Now I know it was bad to make my mum look bad, I do love her and I’m sure she’ll appreciate my sympathetic commiseration.

Having picked Ned up we headed back to Shawn’s house to await his reply and our departure. Keith’s car was already laden with camping gear, sleeping bags and the lot. Keith borrowed Ace’s eight man tent and it filled up most of his back parcel tray. Keith let out a sigh as he uttered “You’ve got to be kidding” upon seeing how much articles Shawn wanted to bring along. Besides his sleeping bag and pillow he was bringing along a cricket bat, a bag of food and a plate of Pizza in his hand.

Trying to pack all this into the boot we had to place his bag on my lap and everything else behind them as they sat in the back. Having to space to move around the area surrounding us was not for the faint-hearted or claustrophobic. The good thing is that if we got into a crash we would have been cushioned by the bags and pillows surrounding what would normally be a spacey area.

A Plate in the Tree

With four people now in the car there was just one more stop stationed on my request, my house. Considering that everyone was taking sleeping bags and my not wanting to be left out in the cold we headed back to my house. Running inside I grabbed a couple of other personal belongings like a sleeping bag and a pillow from my bed, food from upstairs and all that. I’m pretty sure I noted all this in wrong context but I’ll let it be imbedded so and rightly here. Having no time to consider brushing my teeth I headed back out to Keith’s car, in hopes that we could make another trip to my house later.

Heading up my street Shawn decided it was time to show no respect to his mothers dish which was holding the pizza that he brought along. As we headed around the top part of my street he handed the dish to Keith and nearing the next curve Keith threw the plate up towards the sky. Landing in a tree we thought that the plate would fall onto the grass and that would be that. Seconds later we heard a smashing noise behind us which liberated some and amused others in the car.

The plate must have glided through the air for a couple of seconds and picked up a draft of wind to make it a meter towards the road in order to smash. That was our pointless fun for the day, Shawn’s coarseness for anyone’s property including his own. Speaking of Shawn, I found out yesterday that he got that job in the City. Nevertheless, Keith feels that it will only last Shawn one week in which I also hold skepticism to his persistence but only time will tell.

The job is just outside of Sydney and has Shawn driving around in the City as some sort of electrician or courier. I’m not too sure exactly what he does but I do know he has 8:00 a.m. starts and he finishes at 4:30 p.m. Shawn told me that he would probably stick around for a little while to catch the train home with me but I doubt he’ll have the energy or patience to do that and besides, it’ll probably be futile.

Petrol Money and a Battery

Embarking on another set mission, we headed to Binh’s shop in order to loosen the load in Keith’s car. However, Keith decided to spark up his profits and greedy little intentions by using Binh’s ploy of petrol money. As we were pulling up to the petrol station in Ambarvale right near Binh’s shop we thought petrol was going to cost us $5 each but greedy Keith asked for a ten dollar benefit.

Protesting to this large denomination I didn’t have a problem with it as I professed “Hey, you still owe me ten dollars for my chain”. Realizing his error Keith told me that I didn’t have to pay but that still didn’t help the others out in any bids to budget for the weekend. Whilst filling up at the petrol station I jumped out to Ned’s beckoning as he handed me a torch and asked if I could inquire as to how much batteries would cost.

Heading into the store as Keith paid for the petrol I asked the assistant who directed me the right way and then as Keith was heading out the store I called him over for assistance. Ned was looking for a battery that wouldn’t cost him an arm and a leg and as I asked the counter assistant for the price it turned out to be $6.

Asking the guy if I could just walk over the battery to the car he allowed it as I showed the battery to Ned and got his consent. Hissing at the fact that it cost a bit too much money he handed me his money and then I walked back into the store and paid for it. Stealing the battery would have been easy but I’m far from those adolescent misdemeanors. I have matured in many ways and I gather by the end of this entry you will understand conformably.

Custard Donuts at Binh’s Shop

From the petrol station we snuck our way up to Binh’s shop, parking on its side wall. Binh was taking his brothers jeep along for the cruise to Kangaroo Valley and the reason we were visiting Binh was because we knew he would have plenty of space to even out our own sitting space. Heading into his shop Keith brought him out so that the vacating can begin. Persuaded by the sugar-clad sweets that Binh sold at his bakery, I was delighted to fall under their deeming power to buy a custard donut and another contraption that I love.

While Keith’s car was being emptied I ate away in hopes that I would fill myself up moderately so I wouldn’t get that hungry later in the night at Kangaroo Valley. With the exchange of belongings finished Keith closed his boot, started his car up and bid Binh adieu as we headed off to Kangaroo Valley. Little did I know at the time that we were going to be the pioneers of the day.
