A Dropped Call at Dawn
Now Lyssa just rang and the time is 3:32 a.m. but the two times that Lyssa tried to talk the phone hung up after a couple of seconds. Therefor I gather that the public phone Lyssa was using is faulty and on top of that Lyssa probably wanted to head over to my house for the night.
Considering Lyssa hasn’t called back yet to inform me of what she wanted I can say with certainty that she’s on her way to my house. If that is the case then I won’t be able to write the rest of my chronology tonight but I should get to this Diary entry quickly now.
Oprah and Lonely Weekends
Still speaking of Thursday now being night Lyssa gave me a call at 9:30 p.m. and once again I gather she called that late because she didn’t really want to speak to me. In our last conversation of the night we started chatting about what Oprah’s show was about. Basically it was about sex and Lyssa informed me she learnt that if a guy doesn’t go off during sex and doesn’t get any treatment he has to do it himself.
My line was busting to be “Yep, that’s me alright” but I kept to myself and still making Lyssa unaware of what she should know. This was the conversation where Lyssa informed me she was going to be alone for the weekend as her mum was going yachting for that whole time. Friday night (Being tonight) and Saturday night would be Lyssa’s lonely days.
At first Lyssa informed me that I should stay over her house on Saturday and I was happy to oblige to that (This might have been in our first conversation) but later Lyssa informed me she had to go out on Saturday night for some party. So I gather that Lyssa is trying to sleep over my house tonight because she doesn’t want to be alone at home.
A Birthday Riddle
During our conversation I remembered that it was our 19th month knowing each other after going out so I gave her a puzzle to solve. “What is nineteen months old and always celebrates its birthday on the 21st” I questioned Lyssa. She was completely clueless to what I was trying to get at and finally telling her that it was a day of celebration she clicked. “I was trying to imagine someone being nineteen months old and having a birthday every month” Lyssa replied, she was completely stoked.
“I’m so happy now” Lyssa informed me as we were both in a ho-hum attitude. “Isn’t it weird how I thought to sleep over your house tonight thinking in my head that there’s something special about today,” Lyssa uttered. But, there was no possibility that Lyssa could sleep over my house considering she had to get to sleep soon.
Lyssa was even going to bring over all her work things so she could get to work from my house. Lyssa was thinking about heading over to my house before I even said anything about our celebrated day. Out of context here I must say that Lyssa must be pretty horny to want to come over all the time out of the blue these past few days. Is she going to get her chance of it tonight.
Keith Turns Up Outside
Our conversation ended fifteen minutes after it began and around 11:00 p.m. Keith decided to park his car out the front of my house. Walking to my front door I let him in as he span some story for me to come out with him. You see, now that Noah is gone he has to find something else to do and I once again will be that something.
Having my boiled chicken and bowl of vegetables to eat I agreed to heading out to the Subway and when I was finished I clothed myself and we were on our way. On our way there Ralf decided to give Keith a call and it was here that we found out that himself and Shawn were at Subway so Keith asked them to wait for our company. Keith was supposed to see Simon because he owed Keith money for the telephone bill which is still under Keith’s name. Nevertheless, we headed straight to the Subway.
Gossip at the Subway Table
Once there we jumped out into the light rain and quickly walked to the sliding doors to enter. Ralf and Shawn were comfortably sitting around a table where Ralf was eating Kentucky Fried Chicken and Shawn was eating some other baloney. As it seems to be, the scene at Subway is all about gossip and conversation and whenever we meet there we always are involved in some moving discussions. Not sure as to where the conversation started I remember some key points of it and here I shall elaborate.
Gridiron Against Cricket
For one thing, we started chatting about Gridiron and we were almost going to get into another argument about which code is more hazardous. Once again putting the stop and start action up to that of Cricket Keith seemed to think with everyone else there that Cricket was more flowing than Gridiron. “No matter what happens in Cricket” I boasted, “there can not be a play for more than one minute.” With that I continued “In Cricket the play starts when you bowl the ball and then once it is hit it is caught and then thrown back for another play.”
“No matter how stupid you hit the ball or how dumb the fielders are there is no possibility that a play will last more than a minute unless they keep overthrowing the wickets a hundred times.” They seemed to half agree with my comment and then I went on to ask, “How long do you think the longest play has ever been in Gridiron and then compare it with Cricket.”
The Footballer Behind the Counter
As we were estimating that a play could last two or three minutes depending on how the blockers block and if you run many reverses the worker from Subway uttered, “The longest play in Gridiron has been four minutes and a half, I should know, I was in it.”
This new voice to our conversation also mentioned that he had played for Miami College Football as a Defensive end and looking at him he just looked like a taller Tatton with fluffier hair. It was hard to give this guy any credibility but we did as we listened to him brag about how he played Gridiron in the states and then came back to play here.
That’s when we started talking about Macarthur Rams and how his was the team that Macarthur Rams beat up two years ago and he was one of the two players sent off in their teams . In the Rams team the only thing that happened was Tank and whoever else were given a warning. I remember that event but I don’t think I was there, then again maybe I was.
Old Stories and Bold Ones
After twenty minutes Keith sent him back to the register so he could buy some cookies and that basically got him out of our hair so we could concentrate away from disputes of football codes. Ralf somehow brought up hating Watty and then I informed all of them that he was the only one that helped me get my bike back when I fronted Jett and the rest of the Aboriginals. Then I went on to speak of the confrontation I had with the guy who had the baseball bat ready to hit me across the head with it while taking back my bike.
That led to more devious times when I was actually on the wrong side of the law stealing the amplifier and all the other appliances from that Campbelltown store years ago with Jett. How Jett wanted to get out of there once we had broken in, how we hid on the roof until we had seen the security guard come and go and how we hoisted everything home in a big heavy bag.
We also chatted about how I broke my finger when Keith mentioned ice bombs and for once in a long while I was confident in my conversation and telling stories and thus I was the popular one to be listened to.
Plans for a Canberra Weekend
Another topic brought up was the trip that Keith and I thought about, the trip for a weekend to Canberra. In that we will leave on Friday and hopefully rent out a hotel for two nights. In those nights we will travel to nightclubs where I will completely forget who I am and be more confident. Basically I will change my whole identity to be who I want to become for two nights. Shawn and Ralf sounded interested in the idea as we set a loose date of four weeks to work around my money problems.
Through that conversation two hot chicks walked in. One of them who I thought was the bomb and reminded me of a skinnier and prettier Rena had light baby blue tight pants on. By tight I mean they tapered loosely to her legs and then her butt cheeks just shined where you could see the G-String she was wearing vividly through the sheer material. Wearing white shoes she had a white top on and boy did she have a great set on her. On top of that she was blonde and she wore her makeup like a true professional.
Noah and the Navy Warnings
More conversation centered on Noah and how he’s now on his last warning in the Navy. Noah gets three warnings before he’s kicked out with a possible court marshal but so far he hasn’t saluted to an officer and he’s run around nude on the boat. Both are punishable with warning and it makes you think what they get up to on that boat, so much weird guys thinking so many weird things.
That’s when we started to chat about the good old days of stealing gnomes, stealing cars and then the rest of the shit that ensued. The last thing that we chatted about before leaving was how Keith thought I was a weirdo when I used to walk to Imad's house when he used to live in Airds. This was before we even talked to Keith or anyone else on the street.
From Keith’s description I used to walk with my hands not moving and close to my body, my head forward and looking at the ground and most of the times coming out through the dark of the alleyway. “He’s weird” Keith used to say. Thursday night we headed home around 1:30 a.m. and of course, I didn’t get to sleep way until the early hours of the morning.
Well anyway, that is Thursday and that is all I will be able to type of at this moment in time because Lyssa has just been dropped off, I can hear the car out the front. So just to finish this sentence off and that’s it…
