Hound Dog And Ilse
Having ten or more minutes before the shops closed, we quickly made our way to Hound Dog to see if they had any yellow lens or blue lens glasses for nightclubs. There was one pair of glasses there which cost $50 but they weren’t the type I was looking for. Ralf tapped me on the shoulder while I was looking around, pointing to a girl working at the counter noting it might be Ilse, Jaromir little sister.
Having a purple streak in her hair and looking the part of a Hound Dog girl, she really surprised me in how she was working in that store. However, I didn’t approach her and wasn’t sure if she had seen me but decided not to acknowledge me but she looked busy and for that, I didn’t approach her. Ilse has always been someone where the best of my pranks and cracks would be brought out to make her smile and laugh. She is a good person and if she was a year or two older, someone I wouldn’t have any trouble getting to know.
Hunting For Crazy Love
Our last place of visit before leaving Liverpool was a record store but this time for me to look up that song ‘Crazy Love’ by ‘Aaron Neville’. The desire to buy this song was tremendous as I had the guy behind the counter dig through his computer database to look up the Phenomenon CD, but as far as finding it on a soundtrack, we couldn’t have it done. The dude threw it over the headphones for me nevertheless, causing me to sit back with a joyful chill running through my veins, mellowing out my already tranquil heart.
Ralf’s babbling voice was hard from my soft tunes as he chatted about his being a rapper, DJ and the likes to the unhappy crew behind the counter. Seriously, Ralf is a walking mouth with legs where you wind him up at the back once for him to talk for a year. I think sometimes that Ralf probably talks to himself at home before he goes to sleep or even during sleep; wouldn’t that be something.
Tuning out to the heavenly music, I wasn’t too sure whether to fork out money to buy the CD with one good track on it or wait to see if I could find an album of his with that song. The better option was to wait and as hesitant as I was, this sounded like a good solution as something was bound to pop up. Well, something did pop up as Jett told me that he could get me that song as he had it on one of his soundtracks.
However, he was supposed to come over on Sunday which didn’t happen so now I’m trying to get into contact with him before I head out to Keith’s house at 2:00 p.m. to watch the Football game between Brisbane and North’s. Anyway, I ended up buying the TLC album after checking out their ‘No Scrubs’ single, checking out HMV for my song before we left.
Ralf’s Casino Trick
Heading back to Campbelltown, we chatted about the events of our Saturday night and again, Ralf tried sneaking in his will of heading to ‘Sydney Harbor Casino’. However, this time he noted that he only wanted to walk around but his real agenda once there seemed as obvious as the jerry curls on his head. What’s the bet that Ralf will try the same little trick when our new weekend springs into place. What I find whimsical in his capers is the fact that no one listens anymore or goes where he wishes.
Everyone has learnt to stay away from his planned nights because we all know by now that they either fall into the category of being shit little clubs or places Ralf has never been to but boasted well of. Besides these cavorted capers, we made our way to my house to drop me off. As I jumped out of the car Ralf told me that he would ring some time later in the night with some more details. I was hopeful that we would go out as it sounded like Tyler, Binh and Shawn were keen but I wasn’t too sure on the outcome.
Jett And Min-Su Visit
Once home the strain of my diary had me writing directly into it in hopes of completing my chronology, which carried on for a couple of hours, as you would be able to note from the length of pages but I must also add that I had to pause to ring some people and entertain Jett, Min-Su and Ralf when they drove over to my house. I’m not sure when Jett popped over with Min-Su but it would have been around 8:00 p.m.
Hearing a distinct knock on my door I went to answer it with a sigh because I thought it would have been an keen and bothersome Ralf. Partly glad to see Jett come to visit me with Min-Su, it was a good friendly gesture, one of my true friends and the last in the line that has not faced certain extinction. The mood changed into a joyful exuberance as I watched Jett and Min-Su muck around with each other, feeling happy for them when knowing they were still deep in love.
The extent of our conversation escapes me but I remember talking about the song ‘Crazy Love’ with a quick mention handed down about Keith. Having my camera in handy and knowing I had a whole role of film to diminish, I took two shots of Jett and Min-Su prancing around on my waterbed, two lovely shots of them being close and loving. Their lasting so long is commendable, being so different of each other but like Lyssa and I, making it work but that’s about where the similarity ends.
I tended to show my love with Lyssa in different ways than to how Jett showed his in public but there were many moments when we were just as playful as the both of them, when we were in love, but take nothing away from my relationship and detract nothing from theirs. If ever there was an end for them I would not wish to see it but I do feel that Min-Su’s feelings would be a turning point, where she would sadly fail to love, or fall out of love.
Ralf Wants Someone To Come Out
Within half an hour of Jett being over my house there was another knock on the door, this time a more loathed visit from an eager Ralf. Ralf kept batting into my mind the task of trying to get someone to come out with us but it just wasn’t possible. For one, we tried calling Binh, Tyler and Ace but neither of them wanted to come out or they weren’t home. Keith was working and the only person we could think of was Shawn. We even gave Tatton a ring but he was all up for harsh rejections, seen on Ralf’s face as he hung up the phone.
“There has to be someone to come out” Ralf stammered, “there’s always one person that will come out.” Even though I knew Ralf was speaking in vain and kept noting that there was no one else, he held onto his firm beliefs asking me to think of someone when there was no one. Jett was the only viable option but when he turned up to my house with Min-Su, I knew that it wouldn’t be worthwhile to ask. When Ralf showed up, his anticipative but procrastinated looks held him back from asking, and so came his despair.
When Ralf arrived he acted the usual gloat regarding his car. He always has to tell everyone in the first instance about his new possessions and as the both of them walked out the front to view the car there was a bit of hesitation in sitting around in my room with Min-Su. I felt a tad uncomfortable for conversation but she started it off and from there we had a ball. With the both of the boys checking out the car we talked about her new part-time job and I noted how I had found myself a new job also.
Keith Chases Tamsen
Min-Su was proud for me and as we changed from subject to subject, somehow in the midst of it, we brought up the point of Keith driving Tamsen home from the City. Min-Su seemed to think that it was a hell of a way to travel despite Keith mentioning it was on his way from Richmond back home. Min-Su started whispering about her thoughts on Keith taking out Tamsen in three weeks time and as she looked funny, I decided to take another picture of her.
Some recent news I’ve found out is that Keith is thinking of booking a cruise with Tamsen from Parramatta to Sydney. Apparently Keith wants to make it a romantic night so that Tamsen can see he still has it in him but it seems he’s fighting a losing battle and making himself look all the more foolish for it. Keith’s fighting a lost cause and he’s only going to look more the loser if he goes to lose his money and faith to waste.
Keith is one of those Duracell batteries that just keeps going and going and going and going. He will learn one day that Tamsen just wants to move on and one day he will finally accept it but for now he’s going to push getting back together as much as he can. To be honest, he doesn’t look too uncomfortable being without her but I’m not sure what he’s like when I don’t see him so his composure is hard to judge.
What I Did For Jewell
All I know from my experience was that there were good days and then there were days in which you hoped you could just get to sleep and forget the whole sorry ordeal of pain and suffering. However, I never went to the extent of trying to win back Lyssa’s heart in such a vain attempt. I tried different measures but I can be thankful that Lyssa and I still maintained a healthy relationship on the telephone and in person.
To draw more parallels, I did quit cold turkey with Jewell on two occasions and I did do things on par with Keith but my parts were classier and sentimental. When I sent Jewell her CD it was months in the making, correlating such intensity and passion felt between the both of us in the better hours of our youthful lime. However, when no was no, I did not push the barriers and rather, took back my loving words and gifts and strayed from looking foolish.
Keith does not have that dignity. He cannot adapt to loneliness or let go of what he thought was a good thing. In this day now I still wish that somehow, in another life, Jewell and I could have been together again for the second and most genuine relationship we could have experienced. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that in the future we will have our chance again.
If it isn’t for my calling her up on the phone or our chance bumping together on the street, we will with hearts join love to love each other. It is only in these days that I am starting to feel the loneliness dwell in these limbs and it hurts to know I have so much to give but no courage to find the every morsel of affection I deliver. I need but to embrace again for these hands do hug the air I breathe, and more of none I do say.
