Spotting the Neighbor Across the Street
In the whole day we must have talked about the lady from across the street at least three times and all about how beautiful she was. The last conversation was a couple of streets from my house where I prayed she would be out the front so that Ralf could see first hand just how much of a beauty she really was. Also, I hoped that she would be out the front so I would get a glance at her beauty closer up, so that I might finally see her face. Luck was with us as we pulled up to my house, the beautiful blonde was out the front of my house.
Using her mobile phone and walking to her newest model Honda Prelude she was wearing white pedal pushers and I can’t remember her top but those pants were amazing to her figure. There was something about them, they were slightly see through and I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what was different about her appearance but Ralf informed me later that she might have been wearing a leotard.
A Nickname Called Caprice
“You know”, Ralf uttered “She might be a Gym instructor, it looks like the leotard she was wearing underneath her clothes was so she could just whip everything off and be ready to do some aerobics”. Looking at her face it wasn’t as babyish as I would have hoped but nevertheless, she was around the 25 years old I had imagined. Her face was rather tanned and older looking than I had thought but she was still beautiful in all facets of the word.
Ralf seemed to think she was also hot and he finally put a name to her face, holding her on the likes of ‘Caprice’ who dawns on one of the FHM covers. So, like the Caprice pants she always wears that shall be here name until I figure it out, it sounds befitting. To say she looks like Caprice would be about right but as the face would match nicely I would tend to think that the ladies body from across the street was much better, much better…
For the whole time Caprice was out the front tending to the phone call we were chatting in the car, well pretending to be doing something important. This was so Ralf and I could get a better look at the lady from across the street and I feel her slow walk to her front door whilst pacing around for a little while was because Ralf didn’t know how to act like we were doing something.
Here’s me pretending to get a CD out so Ralf could play it for me but every ten seconds Ralf would glance at her and then keep making it obvious. This lady definitely has some powers over the mind and potential in the arts of luring my libido to great extremes. Soon enough she was back in the house so Ralf started up his car and then he was on his way back home after a long and durable day. The time must have been around 6:30 p.m. when I finally got home and as I did I had myself a shower and relaxed in front of the television.
Stargazing and Unfinished Chronology
Wednesday 11:37 p.m.
Lately I’ve been more attracted and drawn to the stellar aspect of the outdoors. Not only did I witness the solar eclipse on Tuesday but I’ve been spending more time in the backyard of a day, just sitting there, enjoying the sun and staring into the opaque limitless void. These past few days have been bringing me that same limitless void to the creation of Sonnets and I blame that on this Diary, shining upon me with graceful chronology yet to be placed within. For this reason I have not been able to fully extend my hand upon poetry as I have to finish one to complete another.
With thoughts of unfinished business at hand I can not fully concentrate. My mind will be wondering when this lot of work will be finished and thus, I lose out on most expanse thought of poetry. Thus, tonight I shall here still with hours to journey finish chronology to a certain degree. When this is complete I will to the backyard where I will lay a blanket down and in the blackness of the sky find solitude in the stars as I lay upon that verdant grass. But, before the clock ticks past midnight I shall here the rest of chronology.
A Mystery Valentine Arrives
Starting back on Saturday where Ralf had just left my house after a long day of viewing beauty and bargains I began my calming down of the day. This wasn’t to be as a surprise happened around 7:00 p.m. Something I never in my life imagined for this Diary to see, an act of affection that I would find nature in doing myself. Hearing a car out the front I took no notice of it as it sounded like no one’s that I knew but as my mum came into my room and handed me a letter I started asking twenty questions.
The letter read ‘Happy Valentines Day Tony’ and it was from a secret admirer. At first, I thought it was a prank on my behalf from Keith or someone but opening it up and reading the letter I knew better. Just to read some exerts from the letter I shall denote some of the document below as a quote of her words.
Dear Tony,
I have known you for 12 years but I haven’t seen you for 2 years. The last time I saw you was in Campbelltown on Queen St. where I was sitting in my ex’s car.
Today is Valentines Day so I decided to send you an anonymous letter to see if you can guess who I am.
I’d like to invite you to my house for dinner one day but if you already have a girlfriend then just ignore this letter and any consecutive letters. If you are interested in a relationship or just curious as to who likes you just follow the red crepe paper ribbons and they will lead you to my house.
P.S. happy Valentines Day, from your secret admirer of 12 years.
Guessing the Secret Admirer
Now most of this letter has been reprinted here for my Diary and as I tried to think who it would be I automatically thought that Faith was the one who sent the letter. After all, the letter also stated that she left school half way through year ten and that led me to believe it was her. After some more thought I realized it couldn’t have been Faith as this girl had known me since year four, since I came to Campbelltown.
If it had been Faith then a reunion would have been fun if not interesting because I also had some feelings for her but that dream was soon quashed. The letter also reminded me that I talked to this girl about two years ago in her ex’s car and this was the leading clue that I had to work with.
Following the Red Ribbons
Giving Ralf a call as he had only been home for half an hour I told him of what had happened and he didn’t really believe me at first but soon he was all ears just like me. Inviting him over to my house so we could follow the crepe papers up to this person’s house I still believed it could have been Faith and that led me to the pursuit. Walking out to the front I looked up the road and then down in ten minutes after receiving the letter and on three trees running up the road on my side of the street I noticed three red crepe papers tied up to certain trees and their branches.
Walking back into my house I was trying to remember who the person was that I had seen on Queen Street and then it had finally clicked in my mind that it might actually be Rochelle and then realizing that it would be here my pursuit was dampened. Nevertheless, I thought I owed it to her to follow her up on her offer and track her down for the imagination and effort placed into her idea.
Hearing Ralf out the front of my house I walked out there with the letter in hand and showing it to him I reminded him it could be either of two people and I gathered it would be Rochelle. Starting the car we began to follow the crepe papers up the street and each new one we noticed we knew we were on the right track. Seeing one end at an alleyway I figured that she placed one there while driving back home but I never thought that she was walking home which was the actuality of the event.
Crepe Paper Around the Block
Driving to the other side of the alleyway I hoped the trail wouldn’t lead to where I thought Rochelle still lived, up near Ali’s house. Having to head up my street and then right around to that road that heads down to Bradbury School and finished on the other side at St. Johns Road we began once again to follow the crepe paper. Red crepe for Valentines Day, how formal for the occasion. This really was a great idea and something that I would tend to think was a romantic gesture but knowing that it was probably Rochelle I kept my spirits on caution.
Nearing the end of that road we had to turn off onto Janice’s street and then we had to stop to glance through a park on the top of that hill. Noticing that the crepe paper headed through the park I realized that this person was walking, on such a hot day too.
