On the Way to the Orient
Continuing on our journey and one up on happiness we made our way to the ‘Orient’ because we knew it would be free to dance upon. On the way there we had to dodge pouring rain and we noticed the three girls I took a picture of once again but we didn’t pay attention to each other. It would have been good to chat to them and get their number or something but I’m still in progress, stepping from anxiety and beyond.
Walking through Pitt Street where the shopping complex is we walked beyond ‘Condom King’ until we finally arrived to the furthest part of George Street where the ‘Orient’ was. There was a guy on conga drums playing under Circular Quays train lines where the crossing area is.
Blues for a Dollar
Passing a guy on conga drums him we came across a girl that was playing her guitar and as Ralf was trying to act drunk he walked up to her and said “If I give you a dollar will you play me the blues”. Her automatic response was yes and so he tipped her a dollar and she started playing, no different to me.
Ralf started singing away like a clown to her music and the both of them ad-libbed like drunk ferrets but I managed to pull him away and to the gratitude of her after a couple of minutes. They sounded like two dying cats together and I’m sure the people passing by thought so as well.
Actually, some of the people that ended up walking by were Herman and the rest of them from high school that hang around him. They greeted Ralf first as he was in their year but four out of the seven people that chatted to us I knew and greeted. They were headed up the street as well but we didn’t end up walking with them because Ralf kept singing.
Waiting Upstairs at the Orient
Finally jerking Ralf away from embarrassment we made our way to the ‘Orient’ and once at the front doors we were asked to wait in line. Not even seeing a line he referred to the ten or so people waiting to get in so we abided by his shit and when coming up to him in seconds he noted “You see that didn’t take that long”.
Packed as usual it was much harder to walk around but Ralf and I didn’t stick downstairs, no we headed straight up. The second floor was where the more refined seating was held and with another bar up there Ralf ordered himself another two beers, a water for himself and one for me.
Seeing that there was a rope bar disallowing us to head upstairs to the little nightclub portion we knew that it was packed up there and we had to wait. So wait we did as we headed to the seating area on the right of the stairs and found ourselves two seats right at the back right hand corner if you were standing at the doorway.
Watching From a Corner Seat
Lonesome in our seats far away from others Ralf drank his two beers as I tried to indulge on water but wishing it was orange juice. While Ralf was drinking down the two beers and after spilling some beer on the ground and making everyone look I started looking myself.
There were a couple of girls in the room worthy of my glance but there was one in particular who had just the right build, tone and body figure attributes to amaze me. She wasn’t at all fancy and she had brown to black hair but somehow I could see a fainthearted lover in there who looked open minded.
She was my focus for most of the time as she talked to an older guy and his girlfriend across the table. This seemed to be the interest of her eyes and I don’t think I got her to look over once in our direction, I don’t think she was interested. Either way, I adored the skirt she was wearing and being able to see it at the same time.
The Blonde Girl in the Ponytail
Abusing his body enough with two beers he took some time recuperating and getting his stomach set for a move to the dance floor. Ralf was trying to avoid this for some reason but within minutes we were up there and dancing in the farther corner. At first Ralf told me there was no room on the floor which was true to a point but room to Ralf would have to be hands length space for him to be happy.
Despite his clumsy attempt to keep out of the middle part of the dance floor we made our way out there and into two or three groups of different women. There was a fair share of guys and girls mixed together but I was concentrating on a girl I had seen walk in beforehand.
She was wearing tight denim jeans and I think she had a baby blue top on. She was blonde with her hair in a ponytail and she reminded me of Lyssa when she used to wear her tight jeans around the time just before we started going out. In particular, the photos that Lyssa has of her going to the beach with Rory, Velda and the rest of them with her baby blue top on, the girl in the ‘Orient’ would resemble those pictures.
The girls were dancing in a loose group and the girl that I liked with the blonde hair in a ponytail was being looked upon by some other guy. He looked Italian or something around there and his dancing was effortless and he looked like he loved himself and self-conceited at the same time. He would glance at her every now and again in a gay sort of way and it just made me laugh at his pathetic attempt.
She must have thought this guy trying to look good was a wannabe Jean Claude Van Damn look-alike but his pickup was far from it. The group of girls starting chatting to the girl with the blonde hair and Ralf was doing the same with me.
Pulling me to the side he kept whispering in my ear that the girl really wanted me, that’s why she was dancing with her back to me and was afraid to turn around. She was as shy as me and I gathered that they were probably talking about the same thing we were, each other.
There was a time when I found myself brave enough to dance a step or two behind her but I never really looked upon her, only glancing. Hoping that she would turn around and dance with me she didn’t find the courage but to only turn her head every half a minute to capture a glimpse at me.
The both of us liked each other and I wanted so badly to try something on her but as I’ve explained before I have no commonsense about a situation unless I am taught. How easy was it to grab her hand, turn her around and ask her to dance but I had no commonsense in my anxious state and had to learn from Ralf. We danced near each other for ten minutes and I was the only one her group of friends allowed to dance next to her. Ralf kept badgering me and whispering in my ear but I kept brushing him aside because I didn’t want them to think I was talking about her.
The girl with the blonde hair started to feel embarrassed on the dance floor and she stopped dancing after a little while. This I feel was because I was behind her and she felt too fainthearted and shy to dance so she stopped. Her friends kept talking to her in this time but the dream was soon over as she obviously got too embarrassed.
Grabbing her handbag in her hand I noticed this and even though Ralf urged me to try something I didn’t and lost my only real chance. Fate was not to play a factor in my night for this girl however, I think I did see her later that night. They left soon after she packed her bag and before she left she spotted a glance but that’s all it was, a split second timid glance. This was a girl that was worthy of me and I hoped to be worthy of her but it never did happen and it never ceaseth to amaze me.
Fear and Cold Feet
This word fear, that stems off it anxiety and gives one cold feet. What would a soul ought be where one lighter was without a shadowing entity. What if there was fearlessness but there was no fear, what would be of the soul of mankind then. A fearless world, not fearing anxiety and without cold feet, what a world would be imagined of this…
The Consolation Dancer
When the most favored girl of my night had left the dance floor I felt at a loss and almost as empty as the space she had vacated on the dance floor. Alas, that part of the dance floor was quickly filled up but I shan’t say that about the void that I still hold.
There was a secondary prize however and that was a girl dancing in the corner of the portion I was at, virtually dancing with herself. She was rather small in body size but she did have some appeal to her, being natural blonde and that girlish way about her. She reminded me of the girl I met when I first visited ‘Waves’ the one from Canberra with the great taut body that I loved.
This girl wasn’t spectacular and I had a feeling that her two friends (Who were going out with each other and a year or two older) were trying to set her up with someone. This was probably the case because she felt left out and they just wanted to get onto each other. That would explain why the couple were smiling at each other on her account and looking at me as well as all other hopefuls on the floor. She was like me and tried not to listen to them when they were talking acting normal and as if they weren’t trying to drop hints.
There she was strutting her stuff uncaringly on the dance floor and when the guy that was with her lady friend bumped into me accidentally I knew it was no accident. It wasn’t until a few seconds later that I realized this was his ploy to get my attention and probably chat with me so he can introduce me to the lonely heart.
However, he only apologized even though he looked as if he wanted to say more and I was going to start a conversation with him but I thought against it. There were times when it was getting fairly obvious what they were talking about and I was going to break the silence and just ask her if she wanted to dance with me but I never did.
She became annoyed with her friends constantly in her ear and soon she too wanted to leave and that left me and Ralf virtually out of women to dance with. The future of dancing and sweating as well was looking bleak so Ralf and I now had decided to take a break and sit down.
Ralf Chats Up the Locals
Ralf bought himself another beer in this time and as he did from the bar up on the third floor we stood at the bar because there was nowhere else for Ralf to move. While drinking his alcohol there were two ladies around Ralf’s age or older with sparkling blonde hair standing next to him but talking to each other. Ralf was completely oblivious to them and I noted to Ralf how hot they were but once again, he didn’t do anything.
Instead, someone approached Ralf and asked if he was from Campbelltown and as he replied he found out that a bunch of guys sitting in the corner of the bar were from our area. For the next twenty minutes he chatted exuberantly with them about his being Samoan and doing all the fanciful shit that go with his far-fetched stories.
They too had some stories to tell but in the time they were blabbing their drunken words to each other I kept my eyes firmly on the lady crowd. Soon enough one of the guys asked if we were going to the dance floor soon and joining both me and Ralf we made our way up once more to dance. This time we didn’t stick around up there for very long as we noticed a young blonde girl who looked barely eighteen years of age going crazy with her dancing on the floor. Looking fairly bleak we didn’t keep ourselves up there for long and before too long we were off and back downstairs to the first level.
Skipping Before Bed
Now I shall end my story here as I have endured many pages for this one night but I will be sure to continue Tuesday night. Sunday and this Monday weren’t that big of a day but you can be sure that Tuesday will be exceptional.
Oh, before I go I would just like to add that I did complete that additional 1000 rotations on the skipping rope tonight. It seems to be getting more choreographed by the day and with my practice I’ve been getting good. My record for double skips continuously is five double skips in a row but I’m sure to beat that soon.
Sweat is always prominent in the latter part of my exercising and when I finished my skipping I done 30 sit-ups here in my bedroom. I’m surely on the way to my body’s recovery, I just need to work it. Tomorrow shall be a test on my Chest and Biceps as I will be working out, let’s hope for a big day aye…
