Final Nights of February
This month is within days of completion, actually, I forgot it’s the shortest month of the year. Therefor, with this day there are four nights of literature remaining and although February is now looking sparse in broad spreading, the poetry has been adamant… even though it was sparsely spread. Nevertheless, I have here tonight made two quatrain’s of poetry where the first was an idea I had about men having to marry smart women and the second from thoughts inspired by the lost years Sonnets.
Tonight is a pretty packed night despite not that much action happening for today. The reason tonight shall be packed is on account of my poetry, my research results on my mental cycle, some ideas I’ve had in my mind and some other strategic literal ideas. For that reason I won’t keep you too long in the prologue and thus, I will now begin.
A Dodgy Card, Cheap Console
This month has been rightly named the eclipse of such orderly events or the eclipse of normality, as there has been some abnormal events going on that are new to the scene. Adding some more news to this scene, Keith tried his Credit Card fraud today but it didn’t seem to work for him.
Giving the card to Ace’s sister who was supposed to use this stolen Credit Card to get out some shit, it turned out to be cancelled so they hotfooted their way out. On top of that, Ace now wants to sell his Playstation and he’s selling it with two controllers and the lot (Including Gran Turismo) for $20 to Keith, crazy shit. Apparently after three weeks of having the Playstation he thought to give it a chuck. That is pretty much the turn of abnormal events, now onto chronology.
Still No Jobs in Sight
February has almost passed and still, no great leads to any jobs yet. Today I was looking and lately I have been looking and trying but those temping agencies aren’t doing shit but twiddling their fingers for me. Anyway, that’s now beside the point as I am going to start with my Wednesday from when I woke up.
Woken Up for Madden
The time was around 1:00 p.m. when I was woken up hearing Keith’s car out the front. Still in the nude I put something on as someone was coming up to the door and concealing myself behind my speaker box from anyone that was looking from outside I clothed myself and headed to the door. Shawn was who I met at the door and asking me if I wanted to head over to Keith’s house to Play Madden 99 for a couple of hours I thought for a minute and then agreed.
Jumping into the back of Keith’s car we headed over to his house and as it started to rain we made our way into Keith’s house. Lounging on his bed with satin sheets and pillowcases we turned on the Playstation and began our onslaught against each other.
There were around four games played and basically, Shawn beat me, Keith beat Shawn, Shawn beat me again and then I beat Keith. The last game I really took the piss out of Keith making fun of every wrong move he made when he didn’t score and ridiculing him when I scored. Learning to love a smart ass is the key to keeping concentration and gathering that I was doubling Keith’s score, I think he was a bit peeved.
A Detour to See the Celica
The time came to be 5:00 p.m. and as Keith’s dad came home we made our way back outside to the car and in the rain. Home time it was as I jumped back in Keith’s car and taking Shawn home first Keith asked if I would like to head to Simon’s house before I went home so I could see his new Celica. Tossing up whether I had enough willpower in me not to choke or act suspicious, I answered his question with an agreeable answer. I was going with him.
Parking up the top of his driveway I noticed the black Celica straight away. Being informed that Magnus bought the Celica and another shitty car off Yunus (The older and taller one that I know who was friends with Ricki) I knew that Yunus got the bigger end of the stick in the deal. Making my way inside I shook hands with Simon and noticed Magnus who was sitting on the couch. What surprised me is how the house appeared as if nothing was taken from them. They still had a large television, a system, a wall cabinet, sofas, one of the older Nintendo’s and heaps of other shit.
An Awkward Visit to Simon's
Keith being his usual stupid and pig-headed self walked into the house and his first words were “We came here because Tony wanted to see your Celica.” That couldn’t have been the furthest from the truth and that put me on the spot and made me self-conscious but that’s Keith for you.
While at Simon’s house the both of us went outside to check out the Celica and I was rather quiet and trying to keep a conversation going with one I didn’t really consider that much of a friend anymore. To be honest I think Simon was being standoffish with me being there and that also made me feel uncomfortable. Yet, the car was pretty much exactly the same interior-wise with Ali’s car, maybe one or two minor adjustments.
Heading back into the house we checked out “Fast Four” and rotary magazines for a little while. Patting the little kitten that was lying on the lounge chairs next to me I remembered how Jett said he kicked the cat and it ran away for a couple of days obviously distressed. Patting the cat was a test and a showing sign to Simon that I wasn’t the culprit, as it didn’t run away from me or flinch at all in my presence, did Simon see this though.
Plans With Lyssa
From Simon’s house I was dropped off at home, as the time was 6:30 p.m. and after a couple of minutes I ended up giving Lyssa a call. Lyssa was on the phone and she called me back in a minute. When Lyssa and I started to chat I realized she was in her room and lying down on her bed, this girl loves her new toy.
Lyssa then went on to inform me that heaps of people took a day off work and that included seven of the secretaries. “Shayma’s excuse was that she had a fight with her boyfriend, everyone was having a laugh at that one,” Lyssa uttered. Chatting on the phone we were mostly being sarcastic and because of a bad memory these past couple of days I can’t remember the rest but savored are a few pointers.
Finally I made what should be concrete plans for Lyssa and I on Friday night but I was still iffy in my mind about what I want to do on Friday night and what I’ve planned to do. As yet there are no plans made with my acquaintances but with Lyssa I have a movie at Campbelltown Twin Cinemas planned and then a Nintendo night at my house.
Making known that she probably won’t be heading to College tomorrow Lyssa wanted to head to Macarthur Square to look for televisions to buy for her Nintendo. This apathy and lack of support for her studies in College were handed down slightly from me as I uttered that I would help Lyssa find her television and then she turned around making it for Thursday. Thus, if Lyssa doesn’t go to College tomorrow (Which I know she won’t) then we’re heading to Macarthur Square together where we will shop around for her future television.
